Especially the Ce Hua, Planning is a wonderful piece. This year's Bu Cha Qian also is a master piece. It is these farmers who are promoting China's development. It is their solid basis that makes China have the foundation to develop. They are not really Tu but they are really down to earth and honest. As a Chinese , I was surprised to see that the pilgrimage was similar to our Long March. The background and the cause of the walk were not the same, but the style is similar according to what I saw through films and stories in China. During the Long March, organizational, you have the military leader, the spiritual leader, the leader in charge of food and propaganda. During the trip, people help each other and must walk in the similar speed so that people will have a team feeling.   About food, it’s arranged that two people will cook the first day and then decide who will cook the next day. Two people cook and all the others eat from a big pot. It felt like when I was in school time or live at home when we have a group of around 10 people and all eat together, share the food. Some people think China has about 300 million poor people. China thinks it has 87 million poor people.  Even if it is 87 million, it is still about a big European country's total population. Thus to reduce povery is still a long way to go. China is still a poor country if people use a higher standard to measure. For example to travel or to take airplanes and so on. Many people in China never took airplane in their life.  So China's standard of poverty line is indeed very low. One is annual income 630 yuan. According to this standard, China had 21.84 million poor people by 2007.  Second is annual income 980 yuan. Then China has 57 million poor people. And if according to the 2 dollar standard in the World Bank and IMF, China still has more than 100 million people who live under the poverty line.    Still the progress was remarkable in alleviating poverty because China had 250 million poor people by 1978.  Now the poor people mainly live in the bordering area, mountaineous area, desert area and remote ethnic minority area. They also include those who are migrating to other places, who are ill or not well educated.  There are also extreme situation among those who lost their lands and moved to the cities. Why? Because when New China was founded, the US imposed an isolation policy towards China and China had no friendly relation with Americ a at all. China's relations with Europe was also limited. Except Sweden and a few other countries, the relations with Europe was not warm either especially considering the imperialist power who invaded China in the beginning of the 20th century. Thus, China's foreign policy was one-sided towards the third world, that is Asia, Africa and Latin America which are all developing countries.  It was also a time that all those African countries were inspired by Mao Zedong thoughts to fight against the colonialist rule and  took the guarrila war strategy.  China never denied its support of Zimbabwe, Angola, Zambia, Tanzania and many other African countries.
