An upset friend

Mood: Concerned

One of my friends is really unhappy today. He heard something horrible yesterday. I'm worried about him. I really wish there was something I could do to make him feel better. I hate feeling helpless like this. I really care about him, haven,t  known him very long but we've got really close. It normally takes ages for someone to get to know me as well as he does, I hope my talking to him has made him feel a little bit better.

If he is reading this: you rule, and I miss you, and you can call me anytime you need to talk.

Things that might make me smile on a rainy day

I had a pretty shitty weekend last weekend. In short my car died and I had my wallet stolen. Nothing too serious, but hassle I could have done without. So I've compiled a list of things to remind me that really life is pretty fucking good most of the time! Here goes...

> Some days it doesn't rain, and I can go out without a coat on.

> Being in England, we are never more than a couple of hours from the sea. I think that is a good thing.

> Writing in coloured pens

> Finding socks that match

> Even on a fat day I can still wear my favourite shoes and feel gorgeous, because my feet will not get fat.

> Ice-cream

> Bars of chocolate are cheaper than healthy alternatives

> Even if I'm skint I cam still afford to cheer myself up by buying silly knickers from Primark

> Having my back tickled

> I have a lot of friends that will help me when there is a crisis - usually by providing wine and donating time to heartfelt conversations.

> Stripey jumpers and socks

> Blossom; every year I forget quite how beautiful it is, every year I love being reminded.

> There are always good films to watch, filled with inspiring images or beautiful men.

> Kissing

> Listening to Madonna or Kylie makes me dance around my room weilding a hairbrush and singing like a retard.

> I am pleased that I am a girl, because of that I probably won't go bald or grow hair on my face.

> Pancakes are perhaps the easiest and cheapest thing to make, but taste uber yummy.

> Bluebells

> Trees are there for climbing

> Marmite

> Painting my toenails red

> Somewhere in the world I will find a pair of jeans that fit me perfectly

> Everyday I'm glad that I don't work in Macdonalds

> Most of the funnest and most exhilarationg things in life are free

> London is a very cool place, and is only a 2 hour bus ride away. I am very happy that I don't live there though.

> There are horses, just walking about, in the new forest. For some reason this comforts me.

> The sky is stunning; day, night, sun rise, sunset, even on rainy days and during thunder storms.

> Spinning on office chairs is a fun way to spend a Monday Morning.

> Port is a great drinkand only costs £2.50 from Lidl - a useful thing to know when pennies are running out.

> Poi spinning looks so impressive. AND I CAN DO IT!

> Cuddles are never far away

> Not being a famous person is a good thing.

> Earings, hats, belts and scarves

> Putting fairy lights on, and turning off all the other lights makes my bedroom look pretty, and makes it harder to see the mess.

> Somewhere, someone is thinking about me.

> I am a brunette

> Fishnet tights make my legs look great.

A Very Apt Star Sign

Don't waste time finding fault in yourself or anyone else today, for nothing positive will come of your criticism at this time. Whatever has happened cannot be undone. Instead, face your fear of not being in control, for that may be slowing your forward movement. Although you cannot change the incoming waves, you can manage your reaction to them.

Not really a star-sign believer most of time, but this one is spot on...
