brazil.

Listening to: samba

brazil.

amir visited his father in brazil.

most kids around here are building
their sandcastles in the netherlands
or the north of germany at the beaches.
but how does it sounds when you're
telling someone, "oh a few weeks
ago
i was at ipanema beach or
copacabana playing in the sand
and doing the surfing..."

it sounds really good. but the sand
is the same and amir did enjoy
staying together with
armin - his father -
who is actually working in brazil -
no matter where they meet each
other... Happy

summer holiday 2006 - back home again ...

now we are back home again. tabea visited her grand-
parents
and was flying to budapest. amazing, she did
this  already twice without being afraid of. it's really
courageous for a girl of the age of 9. isn't it? but after
arriving in budapest, her grandparents as well as her
cousin marius picked her up, took her in their warm
arms of family and  went  to serbia.

this is the big chance for all children resulting from
a family of 2 or more different nationalaties. they all
have the chance to jump between different cultures,
landscapes and influences. in this point the elsagirs
are truly rich in. :-)

what evolution, technology and world wide business
serves us, is that the whole world gets closer together
as we know, all people and nationalities, cultures are
going to remix more and more. the only thing we have
to do is, to life this kind of evolution encluding living
our individuality and individual culture we're coming
from or feeling inside our hearts. that's the way ...

but i don't wanna talk about all this global ideas. the
message is: it will become 'normal' (what is really normal?)
having such family constallation regarding the future.
hopefully it is not a point of splitting your soul into
"where do i belong to". It's a chance. so take your
chance ...

amir and me liked to see the sea. so we traveled to the
NL in this well known little - very little - town named
domburg. nice place specially when you stay next to
the beach and have tropical temperatures that even
the north sea was so hot. very nice accommodation
(there's a link in my linklist) - allways important for me
- nice atmosphere - these sweet little houses every-
where - friendly people - even the german tourists
(mostly 'rheinländer') and the feeling of to be some-
where else, in a different place than home. but also
a nice place to stay.

so, no problem finding friends there. amir found two
little surf-ladies at the beach. after one day he was a
surfer too. me, i had small talks to the little ladies
parents and other people around. also i tried to
juggle as i learnt 10 years ago in paris - and it
worked again :-) i'm very proud of it. i even found
a juggle partner who could do it with four
juggle balls. not me, i limited and trained it just with
three. he told me, that you'll never loose it,
if you are able to make it once. it's a little bit like
riding a bike ...

so please enjoy some of our impressions ...
until the next entry.

trip to egypt.

the trip to egypt.

april 28th until mai 03rd '06.

what came across me was . . .

to be welcome.
to be familia'.
being sad - cause of losing
a member of the family.
sensibility of my emotions.
being confused by organizing all the
duties in fact of the fathers death.
to be in need of having not just
a translater - even a mediator -
for a better understanding.
being happy about the final support.
being happy having such a
family in egypt.
the oriental feeling i have inside.
the confirmation of knowledge and
feeling -  that all people all over the
world want and need the same and
have to be very well educated to reach
their "open mind".
at last - acceptance and under-
standig of all the difference between
"my" two countries - al amdu lel ah.
feeling like an ambassadress even
regarding practising religion.
feeling of being connected.
to feel having spent there 6 weeks
instead of really 5 days.
after returning back to germany
my soul needed a little longer to
come home.
at the end - feeling much richer
round about - en schaa allah.

the rest is between these lines ...
is in readers imagination...

susan.

special thanks to hatem, dina, aunt nadra,
uncle mahmoud, sarah and little mariam
in cairo
fahmy, salma, uncle mahmoud and
uncle sayed in port-said
mona, also cairo as an abassadress too.

spheres

spheres.

welcome to my sphere. . . spheres are the

space where human beings live in,

if they are able to become human beings ...

cause living always means building spheres ...

to live in spheres means to create a dimension,

where human beings could exist.

so come in and n-joy...  susan
