We didn`t bother with food and went straight to Yuki Naki`s gym for some free open mat action. there was a pro shooto guy there a couple of blues and a 2 purple belts.

The session was pretty much a free for all, 4 mins on the clock and grab some one and spar. I started with the pro shooto guy and I thought I did quite well..... this continued through the blues and the smaller purple...... then I got to the big purple...... from there I got slowly smashed.

A lot of the brown and black belts are in brazil at the moment.

After the session we headed over to the reveasal gym, which is quite new and on the night it was a beginners sub wrestling class. The class was taken buy the guy who ko`ed the little nogiera (sp), to be honest the class was not up to much, arm bar from mount and escape. Got to roll with him and got spanked which was cool.

Not much happened, we all slept until 2:00pm so we only had time to eat and get ready for the AACC MMA class.

The MMA class was similar format to the BJJ class were we had the warm up/drills, tech and then sparring.

After getting through those awful warm up drills, we started on double leg take down drill, ABE should us a couple of finer point to the take down which were really cool and a defence to the double which is excellent.

half way through the drills more people turn up to train, most of which been pro fighters Yoshida (the guy who fought Royler), BJ and a couple of other fighters.

Sparring was just rolling, but there was people who would do MMA or boxing sparring as well.

Another great night!!!!

After Sleeping 14 hours we got up and had a ride out to Shinjuku again, this time meet with much better weather.

We headed over to the isami shop which ......... is fucking excellent, they have all kinda shit you don`t need but if you don`t buy it you would cry. We had planned to visit it on the Saturday but this was a scouting mission...... so after a quick look around we left with catalog in hands, planning to buy them out on the saturday .... our return visit.

On Wednesday we had our first training session, even with another hour kip, I didn`t feel up to it and was if honest a little nervous about training. We went to AACC which as mentioned before is the home of ABI and FUJII. ABE has fought in Shooto, KOTC, K-1 and FUJII is noted as one of the leaders in womens MMA in Japan.

Our first session was a BJJ class, we got to the gym a little late but while waiting in the lift we was met by ABE and FUJII......... Now I can not explain this well enough to give it justice but Keishi face was a picture.

Tom, Jonny and I stood looking at keishi as these 2 japanese people stepped through the lift door, and it looked like some one had kneed keishi in the balls..... his eyes opened wide and jaw it the floor.

So keishi finished having his heart attack, introduced us to ABE and FUJII, so with big grins and lots of bowing we said hello (this technique has been working so far for us)

We started the class at 8:00 ish............... the warm up. This sucked, it was awful, we went up and down the mat god nows how many times. We have got some excellent drills from this.

Next was tech which was ankle locks, ABE is an excellent teacher and again more stuff to work on when we get back.

Then sparring, the class a had a couple of blue belts which I think we all did ok with, then ABE beat us all up which was excellent.

The gym was excellent and the facilities are great, ABE is an excellent instructor and a very nice person to boot. We have planned to training with more......

Back from Spain

by: spenna

Well back in shitty little Bradford. Spain was nice but I didn't care much for the people and I found them very rude.

The Weather and location was excellent and I really enjoyed it. We stayed in Fuengirola but also went to Gibraltar (were my mum got attacked by the monkey).

Here some links:-
