Gem for Tuesday

"Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
(John 1:29)
Coming down through the centuries of kings, priests and prophets He arrives, heralded by the proclamation of the last of the Old Testament prophets - the Lamb of God. This was the fulfillment of a perfect plan, the final and full atonement for sin, and the fatal blow to Satan's authority. Nothing in heaven, on earth, or under the earth could stop the relentless tide of His redeeming love for a perishing world. What a Saviour! (Drew Craig)
