I'm Very Tired

Mood: Tired and blah, blah, blah
Listening to: Not a thing

Interesting enough, I got some good hours of sleep. Though, I did wake several times. But I'm very tired, nonetheless. This is going to be a long day I think.

This isn't my first journal and porbably won't be my last. I've had lots of journals, that's including my paper journal I used to keep. Paper journals aren't something I can actually use any longer because I abhor using pen and paper, I got too used to a keyboard, not to mention that writing via a keyboard is a lot faster and your hand doesn't cramp up like it does when you do it the old fashioned way.

Yesterday I finally got a gmail account, took me a year and roughly a week to get it, but I finally got it and the interesting thing is is that google now is giving away 2 gigabytes of webspace for your email, not the 1 gig they were handing out over the past year and the space amount is rising! it is now at 2071 megs, which translates to 2 gigs and something. I can see it soon becoming 3 gigs if they continue at this rate. So it's very cool. Or so I think.

I recently started reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte once again, it's a very good novel, I first ran across Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre done in movie form several years ago, it was a recent adaptation of the novel. William Hurt played the character of Mr Rochester, the young woman who played Jane I can't recall what her name is. It was avery good movie and since then I've become quite interested in classic literary books and have since read Wuthering Heights by Charlotte's sister Emily, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall also by another sister of Charlotte named Anne. I've also read The Professor and some of Villette which too is by Charlotte Bronte.

I'm also interested in reading other novels by other authors as well, not just by the Bronte sisters. I would like to peruse some by Charles Dickens, George Eliot, Jane Austen and others as well, I just can't think of any more names currently.

As for my own writing, I seem to be doing a few projects at the moment. I am, at present, working on a short story series that I wrote ten years ago entitled The Stranger series. I lost the originals, but I remember much of the five stories from memory. However, I'm endeavouring to add more to the story than what I'd originally wrote ten years ago, so it'll be a better story than what it was. I actually might be able to make all five parts as long as a novel, so it may end up as such. But I will not think of it as ambitiously as that, if it does end up being novel length, then all the better and if not, then that's fine too. I'm also working on a another project which will be my first novel. I've not worked on it in months, so it's a slow going story. I'm stuck on a few points, so it'll get done or it won't. But I still keep it in mind, so I've not given it up. And my other work I started not too long ago, it's a short story or perhaps a novelette, depending on how many words end up going into the story. Anything 8,000 words it becomes a novelette, 25,000 words I believe is a novella, and 45,000 or 50,000 and above is a novel.

Other things I work on is poetry and songs and when I write those it is generally when the mood strikes.

Anyhow, that's it for now I think.
