The Montreal-based punk-pop group Simple Plan is comprised of high school pals Pierre Bouvier (vocals), Jeff Stinco (guitar), David Desrosiers (bass), Sebastien Lefebvre (guitar), and Chuck Comeau (drums). The five-piece initially came together when Chuck and Pierre founded Reset at age 13. Reset was a modest success in Canada, touring the country with fellow punkers MxPx, Ten Foot Pole, and Face to Face. A debut album followed in 1997, however Chuck bowed out quietly to attended college. Two years later, Chuck let his studies take a back seat in order for he, Jeff, and Sebastein to start making music. Pierre was still in charge of Reset during this time, but grew tired of being both a frontman and a guitarist. He and Chuck reconnected at a Sugar Ray show in late 1999 and it wasn't long until Pierre was back with Chuck and the rest of his motley crew. David, who replaced Pierre in Reset, was asked to join Chuck and his pals, and Simple Plan was born. They landed show dates with the annual Vans Warped Tour in 2001 as well as spots with Toronto's Snow Jam. By now, Simple Plan had a spunky, energetic punk sound. It was textured like Cheap Trick, but raw like Pennywise. In 2002, Simple Plan headed into the studio to make a record. Good Charlotte's Joel Madden and Mark Hoppus of blink-182 joined Simple Plan during those sessions and the end result was the fiery, fun No Pad, No Helmets...Just Balls, which was released in spring 2003 on Lava. The group took home a 2003 MuchMusic Video Award for People's Choice "Favorite Canadian Group" in June. Their Bob Rock-produced second album Still Not Getting Any… followed the next year.

I love simple plan!!!!!

I became a simple plan fan when I first saw their music video"Addicted" that was the first time I fell in love with them. It's about 7 months that I became a huge fan of them. I know that's not a long time but it's ok. Alot of their fans maybe liked them when they were first discovered. I started to do some research about them and now I think I know almost everything about them. They are more like pop/rock and alittle bit of punk. People said that are bad but they are really not. They have a dvd called"A Big Package For You" If you like them you should buy this dvd. They have their first album called"No pads,No Helment...Just Balls" It's really good too. And their new album called"Still Not Getting Any...." that cd is really good too. Since I'm a new fan I never been to one of their shows because of school and because they came to Atlanta in 2003 and I didn't know who they were. Don't forget to have fun,always be yourself,and one more thing ROCK ON
