"... the screws were rotating - we were gonna collapse!"

Mood: Tired. Oh. So. Tired.
Listening to: Steve typing on his keyboard. He's talking to Cory online. =] =]

Hey ya’ll. I know it’s been awhile since I’ve done a real update. First of all, I want all of you to visit my entry about D-Man. Ok, moving on! It’s been a very crazy weekend! I’ve had a really good time though. I’m just wore out. I need to learn when to stop and rest a bit. I guess I’ll learn that with age, right? lol! J I sure do hope ya’ll have had a great weekend. Mine has been unique! Ok, let’s just pick up where I left off last.

On Friday I went shopping with Melanie. I left the house around 2 or so and picked her up around 3. We then headed to a bagillion different stores. We went to a clothing department store and I got me a nice little nightgown and a pair of flip flops. Then we went to a shoe store and I honestly couldn’t find anything I really liked. That was the first time that has ever happened to me in a shoe store. I didn’t know what to do! It was raining outside and I think I just wasn’t in the mood to shop.  I was tired and just wanted to be home. The lightning was going crazy, it was thundering like mad and it was freezing cold rain. I like thunderstorms, don’t get me wrong, I just didn’t want to be out in the middle of it tryin to buy stuff and then get it to the car and all of that jazz. We went to Sam Goody as well because the one near us is going out of business so everything was 50% off. Melanie bought all kindsa things. I didn’t. I didn’t fancy anything in there.

By this time I’m starving so we made a beeline for the mall. We both ate at Chic-Fil-A and it was delicious. I absolutely love it! After we ate, we went into an electronic games store. Melanie is all about playing play station and alla that stuff. I’m not. She loves it though, and I was there for her, so we go in there. She bought a couple of games and then we were off to find shoes. She got her another pair of shoes [by now this makes 3] and they were sneakers. Then we went into almost every store. I went into Spencers and I found me a pair of AC/DC Back In Black flip flops! I love them! I bought em right up. I also bought me a set of “Happy Bunny” kitchen magnets. Mahahah! Happy Bunny cracks me up. I think the website is www.jimbenton.com  but Im not 100% on that. By now it’s like after 7pm and we go into Goody’s. I found me a pair of gaucho’s so I snatched those right up. We also went into Bath and Body Works  and I got me some White Cherry Blossom and some Cherry Blossom body sprays/lotions and then they had their anti-bacterial stuff [hand wipes, foaming stuff, etc] on sale…get this ladies… 4 for $ 10!!! I couldn’t believe it! So, I got 4 little hand wipey things. I got cotton blossom for momma, warm vanilla sugar [x2. one for me and one for mawmaw] and then I also got a cucumber melon one for me that I have in my purse now.

Melanie and I shopped around a bit more. She ended up with a total of 6 pairs of shoes! She’s worse than I am. This was the first time she was ever able to take her money and buy whatever she wanted. She bought herself a car. Im very proud of her. She just came out of a very bad relationship and she’s starting to gain her independence. I keep telling her how proud of her I am. All she needs is motivation and I try my best to give that to her every second of the day that I talk to her. She’s already meeting new guys, which she said would never happen, so I couldn’t be more proud. J

I got home around 10:30 on Friday night. Thursday, momma and I went shopping for about 3 hours or so and then I came home and cooked and cleaned the house. I forgot to mention that to ya’ll, I think. That’s just a lil recap for you.

Saturday. Oh Saturday. April Fool’s day it was! I got up and got me a shower and all of that jazz and went to meet my momma at my grandparents. We went to the Kid Rock concert. You see, Hollywood is in my itty bitty hicktown and everyone is going crazy-eyed.   Matthew McConaughey and Ashley Judd are filming a movie about the tragedy that happened in the 70’s to the Marshall University Football Team. The actors and actresses were coming to town for the first visit on Friday so you know the entire town was right where Momma and I needed to go. It was jam packed, but momma and I still had fun. We walked around town a bit and looked at everything that was going on. We had a nice dinner at a local pizza place. We also went to the bookstore and bought a few books. Momma bought us some keychains, but I forgot mine. L Sorry momma. After that, we headed over to the Civic Center and waited in line for 1.5 hours. Then, we finally get in and we thought we’d be able to go to our seats. Well, we got REJECTED!  We had to wait in line for another hour because we had e-tickets [which means we bought them online]. There was this crazy, drunken man kept yelling, "JASON WHERE ARE YOU?!" and Jason would hold up his hand and the drunk man would say, "THERE YOU ARE!!" Completely retarded. Oh well! Kinda scared momma, but I just laughed at him. The cops came out and he finally shut his big fat drunken face. Had we bought them normally we woulda went right through. ARGH! And they say the internet is faster! Psht!

So we get in and we get us some drinks and then head to our seats. We had good seats, they were just at the very t.i.p. top of the bleachers. Now, I am extremely terrified of heights.  So, here I am about three thousand feet in the air and I know what’s going to happen. I keep telling momma what is going to happen. People are going to stomp and then the bleachers shake. Because I watch CSI constantly, I saw an episode where a building collapsed because they lived next to an airport and the rumbling of the airplanes going by caused the screws to turn and fall out. Well, I just kept envisioning that the screws were rotating and we were gonna collapse. I even had a plan. I was going to stand on my seat and grab the ledge behind me, an advantage of being in the very top row. Crazy? A bit. We were WAAAAAAy up there! However, our seats weren’t that bad. We were on the side so we could see him really well. Well, I could. Momma is getting glasses so Im sure he was just a big blur to her. Mahahah! j/k momma. She was lovin it. We stood up the *e.n.t.i.r.e.* time. My feet were aching. That’ll teach me to wear flip flops to a concert! HAH! These puppies were tard!

We had fun though. Momma danced and I danced. It was a really good concert. I finally saw momma let loose and just have fun. That was good for her. Im really glad she and I went together. It was her first concert in over 14 years, ya’ll. She saw what a mosh pit  looks like, she saw how crazy-eyed people get over rock and roll. At one point she looked at me and said, ‘country music concerts aren’t like this, are they?’ To which I replied with ease, ‘no mother, for they are much more tame.’ Mahahah! Ok, maybe I didn’t speak so elegantly, but I think I laughed at her and said ‘um, no.’ Love her heart. We had a really great time. The picture Im going to post tomorrow is one that momma took after the concert. I was sweaty. My head looks HUGE.  So, I don’t care. I was having fun. Momma thinks she’s got an ugly face and she insists that it’s better when I use my ginormous head to cover up half of her itty bitty face.  Much to my dismay, she is right only because she is my mother. I’ll never tell her she’s wrong…to her face. J

Oh, momma did buy me a book! It’s called, “The Glass Castle” and it’s by Jeannette Walls. I’ve not started it yet, but the blurb makes it sound amazing. Also, it was the New York Times Best Seller!!!! So that means ToTaLLy AwEsOmE-LicIoUs!! Or something like that. It’s going to be SuPeR, I’m sure.

Ok, so that was my Saturday. On Sunday I got up early [8 am] after coming home late from the concert.  Why on earth would I do something so stupid? Well, my daddy insisted upon fixing my breaks. That. Morning. L Am I thankful? Of course. Did I hate waking up that early? Naturally. Do I love it now that my breaks don’t squeak and think he’s the greatest daddy ever for doing it for me for free? Yes. It was ok though. I left here around 10 til 9 in.the.morning.  and I got home around 2 or 2:30 in.the.afternoon. I laid down and took a nap for about 2 hours. Got up around 4pm and then Steve and I headed out for a date. We went out to dinner, which was nice. We always have fun. Then we went to the bookstore. Yes, this was my 2nd time there my 2nd day in a row. They know me now. They greet me at the door with a pat on the back and a hearty grin.  They love me. We’re like family now. Im gonna get ‘Shelly + Empire Books = 4 Eva’ tattooed on my arm or something. Wonder if theyd give me a discount on books?  HRM! Interesting!

After we got Steven 2 books, I shoved them in my purse and we ran outta the store.  Nah, im joking! Well, I’m halfway joking, if there is such a thing. We paid for the books and I did put them in my purse and we did run outta the store…by running I mean walking really fast. So then we went up and got our movie tickets. We saw the movie ‘Stay Alive.’ Oh. My. Goodness. If you play video games on a regular basis, which I don’t, this movie will make you think twice bout which game you buy! Sheesh! I don’t play much video games and I was scared. The first thing it showed? An eyeball bleeding. I seriously get freaked out when things happen to eyeballs in movies. It makes me sick and I just can’t take it.  It reminds me of the episode of Fear Factor where they had to eat cow eyeballs and fish eyeballs. It just grosses me out. Im about to varmit [yes, varmit] just thinking about it! Momma gets grossed out when they, on said show, eat the spines of various animals. That should trigger momma to gag a little!

After the movie, Steve and I came on home. It was raining and I was wearing my nice outfit. So, when we got home I watched a little TV and decided I didn’t do enough running for the weekend. So, at midnight here I go to Wal*Mart. I got an area rug for the living room, some pens and stuff for my purse for school, and Otis a new litter box that has a lid. Sheesh. He looooves to dig and dig and then he slings litter all up on my walls. I found it in the crown molding next to my ceiling! Ok, maybe that’s an exaggeration but I do have to sweep the top of my baseboard cause it gets piled on top of that! So, here’s to hoping I don’t have that issue anymore! I got in bed around 3 am cause I had to move furniture, put the rug down, move furniture back. Then, I had to fix his litter box and put up the groceries, etc. You know – what women do when they get back from the store!

Today I got up around 11 and got ready and went to school. I had to type a paper for class that I had tonight. It was easy. Only took me like 10 minutes. I also applied for graduation and got my money straightened out. I should get the other half of my money by the end of this week. The DUI school is this upcoming weekend, which I’m excited bout cause that’s the $ I’m going to use to get Otis’ vet bill paid for. On the 11th he’s going to go get fixed and alla that jazz. Oh, M wasn’t in class tonight, by the way. Doesn’t surprise me. She knows everyone hates her guts now.  Im still working hard on the walk a thon. Steve has spring break next week. Im glad. He gets 13 days total off. He deserves a break. Im happy for him. He’ll get his money first and he said he’s going to go buy himself a treadmill. I said, that’s fine as long as you buy me something too! Mahah! I know, Im evil. OH WELL!

Sorry for the lack of pictures in this entry. I’ve been writing this looooong thing for over an hour now so Im going to end it here. Im not even sure if it’s all going to fit in one post or not. Mahahah! I hope ya’ll have had a great weekend. I’ll be updating again soon. I’ll be online all day so just gimme a holler if you’re on!
