Alright then. First of all let me apologize for the lack of a real update. I know it's been awhile and you guys have been so supportive and so patient with me. I really appreciate it. A lot has happened in the past two weeks so instead of giving ya'll every little detail, I'm going to hit the highlights, both good and bad. I do want to say that I finally, right at this very second, can say that I have nowhere I have to be or nothing I have to do right now. That's such a good feeling! Although at 2:30 this afternoon, I do have a meeting. So, get you a cup of your favorite drink, cause this entry is gonna be quite long!

Last week I spent the week getting everything prepared for the walk - a - thon. I had T-Shirts made on Monday. Monday night there was a bit of turmoil on Monday night in two separate parts of the night! The first part was after our Monday night class. We had a 'mini' TRIBE meeting just to get everyone on the same page. I had been out of town the week before and things went haywire. So, Monday night it was resolved. I then come home and make a phone call to a woman whose husband owns a company and asked if she was going to be able to have the quilt she was making ready to be donated at the walk - a - thon. You see, businesses get their name on the back of the T-Shirts if they donate three hundred dollars or more.

This company was promised their name on the back if they made a quilt and set up a table. So, I called her and told her everything that had been going on with the walk - a- thon. I then asked her if she had the quilt done and she didn't. She did throw a fit because I told her that her name wasn't on the back of the T-Shirt. I gave her husband, the business owner, the same letter I gave everyone else that clearly states all donations of three hundred dollars or more need to turned in by 4 - 20 - 06. Well, this was past the 20th. So, she then tells me (and I quote), "You better get our name on the back of the T-Shirt. You have a job riding on this." So instead of going off on her like I wanted to, I told her I would do what I can. I then emailed the director of the club and told her what had happened. She said she would handle it and she did. Their name is on the back of the shirt.

Academically on Monday I had a midterm in public speaking. The following Wednesday I had a midterm in Behavior Management II. On the Public Speaking midterm I made a 93% [A-] and on the Behavior Management midterm I made a 104/105 [A]. So, it's nice to know that in the midst of all of the 'drama' and the promoting of the walk - a- thon, Im able to keep up my grades.

On Thursday we had our TRIBE meeting. The meeting was inside for about 10 minutes to discuss what needed to be discussed for the walk - a- thon and then we went over to the track. We got it all figured out and made some phone calls. I felt very confident going into the walk - a- thon. So, Thursday I came home and just relaxed. On Friday I did a lot of running for the walk - a- thon. I went and got posters, markers, ribbon, etc. to make signs and things of that nature. Then, I went to Melanie's house to make the signs and stuff. I left there around 4pm to go pick up the T-Shirts at a local T-Shirt making place. They look awesome!

In the midst of making signs and running here and there, I'm on the phone with people because they're wanting to make donations. So, I was going to various companies picking up checks and donations. While I was at Melanie's house, I had Melanie call the woman of the business [that I was discussing up above] and ask her if the quilt was finished and if we could pick it up. It wasn't finished. Then Melanie asked her if she knew anywhere that was hiring and she told her no. Then the woman found out I was at Melanie's and asked to talk to me. I got on the phone and she offered me a job. That was so messed up. She said, and I quote, "Don't say anything outloud, but would you be willing to work for us this summer?" I just thought that was shady cause I was at Melanie's house, Melanie asked for a job while talking on her phone and then she offers me the job? Somethin dirty there. Anyway - we finished making the signs and I went and got the T-shirts.

Saturday morning I got woke up at 7:30am with a phone call from the woman of the business saying her sewing machine broke and she couldn't finish the quilt. Great. So, after all of that crap, she didn't get it done. She said, "I'll donate a couple bags of ice and I'll go buy a bike for the kids to win." I said, "I'll talk to my advisor." and I left it at that. So, she shows up at the walk - a- thon with a bike for a lil boy and some ice. I just thought that was crappy.

Anyway - on to the walk - a - thon. We raised one thousand dollars. It was a really good turn out. We had a lot of stuff to raffle off and that within itself made a chunk of change! There were a lot of volunteers that showed up and worked and that made a difference. I wished we woulda had more people show up, but we were competing against the March of Dimes walk, Walk for Autism, and another one that I can't remember now. So for my itty bitty hick town the thousand dollars was great!

I got home Saturday evening and I couldn't walk. I was sunburnt, my feet hurt and I was soo hot! I had tons of crap in my car to unload, but Steve did that for me. The NFL Draft was on so we watched that. After I was feeling a bit better, I got dressed and went to mommas. My uncle Michael and Caitlin showed up at the walk - a- thon around 12:30pm [it started at noon] and stayed for a bit. Then Steve's momma came and brought some people and they stayed for like 1.5 hours! When they left, my uncle, caitlin and momma came! So I had family there a lot of the time. It was great! Im really proud of the walk - a - thon. It was the first event TRIBE done and the first time we've ever tackled a walk - a- thon. So, it was great!

On Sunday I slept. I slept all day. I had a migrane and was just so blah feeling. Steve watched the last rounds of the NFL Draft. That was basically our day. On Monday I got up at 6:30am and had breakfast with Steve. Round 8 I took a lil nap and then by 9:30am I was at school doin some research for my informative speech. I thought I had all this crap that was due on Monday but it wasn't due until Wednesday. So I got up early for nothin. I took a midterm monday night in Group Dynamics II and I got a 100% on it [A]. So, I was really happy about that. I came home Monday night and cleaned.

Tuesday I woke up and my back and stomach were hurting so bad. Hurt me all day. Felt like I had an ulcer or something and the muscles in my back just flat out hurt. It was awful. Steve and I did so much and I didnt complain about my back or belly one time. Yes, that is a triumph for me because I'm a big sissy when my belly or back hurts. Let's see. We got up early and had Burger King for breakfast. Then we came back here and I went to vote. Around 11am Steve and I went to Wal*Mart and bought a treadmill. We brought it home and put it together. Two hours later, we plugged it in and it didn't work. The motor was dead.

So, I called Wal*Mart and they said to bring it back in. I had to bring all of the bags and the boxes, too. So, after Steve went off about the treadmill not working for a few minutes, we loaded it back up. I packed up all of the empty bags and boxes into trashbags and off we went. I was in charge of holding the bags and boxes down in the back of the truck. THAT was fun, lemme tell ya. lol!

We got to Wal*Mart and the customer service lady gets smart with me. I said, "we're returning a treadmill and I would appreciate it if you could call Mike from Sporting Goods up here as I've talked to him about 15 minutes ago." she said, "where is the treadmill?" i said, "in the back of hte truck." she said, "you'll have to bring it in." I said, "Thats why I need Mike." She looked at me over top of her glasses and siad, 'YOU will have to bring it in." So thats when I went off. I said, in teh most polite way I could've, "You WILL get on the phone and get Mike from Sporting Goods down here or I'll go get him myself and completely bypass you because you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Mike is the MANAGER of sporting goods and he's the one that Steve bought the treadmill from and i've spoken to him TWICE over this just within the past 30 minutes. NOW - get on your little phone and call MIKE or I'll have SOMEONE ELSE do it, Customer Service Manager Brenda." So, she did.

We unloaded the treadmill and exchanged it. The other one is still in the box in my kitchen. LOL! It'll get put together this weekend. I've *still* not joined the gym. You know what? Im going to do that today. Infact, when I get finished with this entry, Im going to go join the gym then go to the school for the TRIBE meeting. I think Im going to do a workout and tan. That means I need to take a shower and shave these legs. I've not shaved them in 2 days! 2 Whole Days! My momma knows how I am about shaving my legs. I shave them at least once a day in the summer time.

So yesterday was Wednesday. I told ya'll this would be long! Yesterday I had a political science midterm. I think I did OK, but I seriously hate history, government, etc. so who knows. Today I took Otis to the vet. He's getting his front feet declawed and he's getting fixed. He's also getting all of his vaccinations to bring him up-to-date. I also went ahead and paid for him to get the rest of his vaccinations up to 1 year old. He was born January 2nd, 2006. So he'll be there until Saturday. I pick him up Saturday afternoon. I didnt realize how much company he is! He went off on the nurse when she picked him up. He bit her wrist and he hissed at her. Mahahaha! He did NOT want to be there. He had to be there at 8am this morning.

The rest of my day is pretty much blah. I've got to call the school and get my graduation thingy straightened out. Then its off to the gym. After the gym I've got the TRIBE meeting. I should be home around 3:30 or so, then I have nothing to do. I guess I'll work on laundry. There's always laundry. Im gonna clean Charlie's cage, too. Other than that, I've got some free time. I don't know what to do with myself when I don't have to be working on something, be somewhere, etc. lol! I ordered momma and mawmaw's mothers day presents. They're gonna be delivered. Mawmaw's will be on May 11th and momma's is gonna be on May 12th. May 12th is also Steve's birthday. Im gonna bake him a cake. Today, May 4th, is Angie's birthday. Ok - so that's that! Soon as I get some pictures from the walk - a - thon, I'll post them. I promise! Im gonna call Cary about those right now!

Have a good day darlin\'
