Finals - Done. Graduation - To Come!

Mood: Excited about tomorrow!
Listening to: The phone ringing

Finals are OVER! Sheesh. That sucked. I swear, I have never studied longer or harder for a final than I did for that freakin political science final! I studied all day Tuesday. When I say all day, I mean all day. Literally like 5 hours. That's all day to me. Ugh! Ok, let me get my thoughts together so I can update ya'll on my week so far.

On Monday I had 2 finals. I made a 94% [A] on my public speaking final, which that grade should be an A. I only found out cause I emailed my professor and asked her. I can't stand to not know my grades. It kills me! I also told you I made an A on my last speech that was a huge chunk of our grade as well as the outline for it. So, that class is taken care of and I've got an A. *celebration dance* I took my group dynamics 2 final and made a 96% on it. That's an A. I love making A's. It makes me feel so tingly inside. Yes, Im bragging. Im allowed because I've worked hard! So, my overall in that class is a 98%. *celebration dance*

Tuesday I spent the entire day studying for my political science final. I also had the leadership award ceremony. That was a crock of bullcrap! The person who beat me out of the overall award for the applied science - isn't even a student anymore! She just couldn't walk through graduation last year so she's doing it this year. SHE ISNT A STUDENT! Isn't that some crap?! She isn't even involved with the applied science club on campus or ANYTHING! Man, I was annoyed. I also didnt get my Relay for Life certificate because I joined too late. Oh well! I got my lil award and our director gave us all lil goodie bags. That was sweet.

Wednesday - my most dreaded day! Ugh. I got up, studied, went to school around 2pm. I spent from 2pm - 4pm in the advisors office trying to figure out my bachelors degree once and for all! I found out that health communications limits you to the healthcare field. What if I dont wanna work in the healthcare field forever and ever? What if I wanna do somethin crazy and be a school guidance counselor or something?! So, after 1.5 hours of sitting there discussing majors and which would best suit me and my needs for right now, we decided on Psychology. That way, I can get my masters if I want to. I can work practically anywhere. So, I declared my bachelors degree, got my cap and gown, took it to the car, then went to take a final. The first final was open book. It was hard questions, but there were only 8 of them. Cake. I got done in an hour.

I had 2 hours before my political science final. So, Jimella and I went up to the quietest place on campus and studied. We studied nonstop for 2 hours. I think that helped me more than just studying by myself. I remembered more because I had to explain things to her. You know, the best way to learn something is when you have to teach it. It's been proven! So at about 10 til 7 I was ready to throw up. We go down to the classroom and our professor is already in there. We studied clear up until he said, 'clear your desks'. Those dreaded words. He hands out the final and I flip directly to the fill in the blank. That's my weakness. So, I get those finished, then I do the true/false. I hate true/false! Ugh. Then the matching. Oh I OWNED the matching part! Then there was the multiple choice section. Nailed it. I missed 5 total. I missed one fill in the blank and 4 true/false. Told you I hate true/false! That was just my professor eyeballing it. I probably missed more - BUT I know I at least got a B on it! That means my final grade will be either a B or an A. *celebration dance x 3*

I left class, came home, cooked dinner, cleaned up, and went to bed. I'm leaving momentarily to go to school. I have to hold a TRIBE meeting at 2pm. It's the last meeting we're having until August 24th. We're going to do a bake sale in September to bring in some money. You know, in one day we made 200.00 in a bake sale! So we might make even more this time! Im gonna post the flyer for the costume party on here shortly. I also am holding a meeting with the fellow graduates to decorate our caps for graduation tomorrow. That starts at 3pm. Then, at 4:30 pm I have a meeting with Janet to get my fall and summer schedule hammered out since I changed my major. Then, I'll be home! Gonna do some laundry and figure out what Im gonna wear underneath that black graduation gown of mine that's hanging in the closet!

Tomorrow = Graduation. So, at 7pm eastern time, where ever you are, please think of me and pray that I don't trip up or down the steps to the stage! Ugh! Gotta get going. Gotta make copies of the agenda and get the tables set up for the meeting!
