I might win a kajillion dollars!

Mood: Happy
Listening to: Bad Santa on TV

Hello, everyone! I can't tell ya'll how good im feeling lately. It's been a good couple of weeks. This past thursday I worked at school all day. Freshman orientation was the occassion and I worked throughout the day and had my own group of 'red dots' that I was with throughout the day. It made for quite a long day, indeed! My kitties are doin fantastic, Steve and I are doin great and Cory is enrolling for college . I don't have a whole lot to talk bout, really. Ya'll know me though, I can ramble on for hours. Mahahahah!

Let's see, I've been cleaning my house.  I got some new end tables from daddy. That was nice of him! They're nice, too. They're his old ones. They're really big for my tiny little living room. See, I want a little bigger house.  This house is like |--| that big. Literally. We are so small we have to jump on the keys of our keyboard to press the buttons down! Mahahah! J/K! Our bedroom is bigger than our living room. Im not complaining, I love the place and the price. I just want something a little bigger, maybe even a 2 bedroom!  That would be great! Im going to talk to my landlord when I go to pay the rent. I pay 3 months in advance when I do pay, so maybe she'll work with me a little bit. Hopefully.

On July 9th we're going to the beach!  By we I mean momma, Cory, Steve, and myself. We've rented a car, we have a ground floor room that is ocean front, and we're so excited. Momma and I are taking a day cruise on a casino ship.  She loves dolphins and has never seen one in real life. During the day they have dolphin watching on the top deck. They also have a breakfast and lunch buffet the entire time we'll be on the ship and it's free! We also get some casino chips to gamble with, but I dunno if we'll be doin that or not. Who knows! I might win a kajillion dollars. If I do, I'll share, I promise.

Steve and I were planning to go to Waves of Fun [a pool that makes ginormous waves and has slides and tubes and all kindsa fun stuff] next week, but we're going to have thunderstorms on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  So, Wednesday it is supposed to be 92 degrees and clear. We'll see. If we don't make it this week, we'll go the week after. Not a major priority. I also have ordered a few things from a website. I got someone special here at blogigo something , although Im not going to say whom just yet. Or is it who. Hrm, dunno. Anyway - I got momma a couple of things, too. They're really nice. I got me some pictures and stuff. Can't wait to get them!

My summer is going well, guys. I don't have classes until July 25th. Im taking 16 credit hours in 5 weeks.  Yes, I'm psychotic! Mahaha! I can not wait to graduate with my BA in Psychology!  I just might go on and get my masters degree! Im also thinking about starting a club on campus.  Kinda like a secret society type of thing. I wonder if that would catch on? I wonder how we can do things for the campus and yet remain a 'secret society.' Do ya'll have any ideas for clubs on campus? I'd love to start one. It has to serve a purpose to the campus though. So Im still thinking. Im also going to take a council position in the psychology club in the fall. Im putting together the costume dance, too! That's coming along nicely! Got the banners made! *cheer*

Well, I think this is all for tonight. Steve and I, since we got our new dining room table, have been eating our meals together. We cook together then we light the candles, turn off the lights, and eat. We have like 6 jar candle thingies on the table. It's so sweet. Then, we'll come in and watch a movie or something. We're just enjoying each other's company right now. It's really nice. I hope that you guys are having an amazing weekend. I'll probably be updating tomorrow, at least with a picture of the flyer I made for the costume party. =) Im still taking some ideas for crafty things and/or food for that too! Just get in a spooky frame of mind. Also, if you've been to a costume party where there were some neat decorations, let me know. We're going to have a live band so I need to figure out how to decorate the stage and stuff. We have a strobe light. Gonna try to get a couple of fog machines. Im even thinking about hiring a company to come in and decorate the stage area and stuff. Have to get a quote from them, first. I doubt they'd donate their time and supplies for an evening.

Catch ya'll on the flip side!

Graduation Pictures!

Mood: Happy
Listening to: Dont Cha!

These are my ladies. In the very back is Melanie. Then, from left to right is Cary and Me. Angie is holding up her pink sign and Dusty is in the front. I love these ladies!

These are the same ladies, but Angie and Dusty switched places. We all were talking, as you can tell. Mahahah!

Here's another picture of me and my ladies. Mahahah! Ok, so Dusty over there on the left is being very angelic. Melanie is tryin to act crazy, beside Dusty. Im all kindsa squatted down between Angie [who is blowing you a kiss] and Cary [who is doing her super model pose]. Jimella, on the far right is just laughing at us. Mahahah!

So here is a picture of me. I was burning up. It was like 80 bagillion degrees and that gown is freakin hot! The shadow makes it look like my head is huge, but I don't care! My tassle is sideways, too. Anyway - This is what happens when you're in mid sentence and someone says "SMILE!" and you KNOW you're gonna look like a chipmunk. Mahahah!

This is a picture of the TRIBE ladies with our director, in the center. In the back, from left to right is: Dusty [who looks very scholarly and serious], Me [why im sideways i have no idea. there were steps there and i was in the process of moving down one, I think], our director Mary [who always takes good pictures], Cary [who takes a beautiful picture if she had mud all over her and her teeth knocked out], and Jimella [who was like 'just hurry up im sick of pictures]. In the front on the left there's Melanie [who is in the process of laughing], and Angie [who has this 'huh?' look on her face...like she has no idea what you're talkin about - mahahaha!].

This is a picture of the TRIBE ladies [Melanie, Cary, Me, Angie, Amanda, and Dusty] getting our leadership awards.

Hope you enjoyed! :) I follow through with my promises!

Neat lil thing!

Mood: Tired
Listening to: "Bringing on the Heartache" by Mariah Carey

I added some music to this blog! I love music. Aly has this cute little thing on her blog that she plays her favorite videos, so I copied her. Tee-hee! Click here to get to her blog ---> Aly's Blog. So, I handpicked these 30 videos. You can scroll through the songs very easily. Just click on the next button. It's the arrow pointing right with the line under it. Might have to click it twice the first time. They're gonna play at random, so you might get the same song twice. I'll be adding more later. Im too tired right now.

btw: if you want to get one of these playlists, click on the link. Create an account. Go through videos by typing in the artist, name of the song, or click on 'playlists' and type in your favorite kind of music. Then, when the video is playing, there's a lil button that says 'Add to playlist' and it'll add it. After you've put in however many songs you want - name it and save it. It'll give you an html code below it. Copy it and paste it into your sidebar by going to admin area -> preferences -> sidebar. You can change the size of hte video by searching, in the code for 'height' and 'width'. I changed mine from 300 to 200 [both of them]. You can also change the size of the fonts in the first line, just by changing the number. If you have trouble and you want one, let me know. I'll help you with the code. I don't mind!

Enjoy the grad pics below!

A few pictures - as promised!

Mood: Got a headache
Listening to: Steve snoring

Here are some pictures that Angie's momma took. I didn't even know she took a picture of me! As I get more, I'll post more. I promise!

*This is Melanie [in the front]. She's one of my good friends. She looks kinda mad, doesnt she? LOL! I love her though. She's a sweetie.*

*this is a picture of Angie. She's standing directly beside the world's tallest man. Mahahaha! She's only like 5'3" or something. Under 5'5"! That's why this picture is hilarious. We were seated alphabetically.*

A tiny picture of Angie. Mahahah!

This is a picture of me, of course. I was walking, had no idea my picture was being taken. The sun was all up in my face. Look at my fluffy tassel! The woman on the far right with the curly hair is Lisa. She's my academic advisor. She's amazing. I just love her to death. I was carrying my program! No idea why. I just had it in my hand.

So there ya have it. A few pictures. I'll post more asap.

Remembering

Mood: Tired, now! Thanks for listening to me ramble on and on!
Listening to: TV - Law and Order: SVU

The two years of college have been somewhat kind. *suddenly flashback moments start to happen, but they seem a bit jumpy and not particularly in order...* Let's see, what do I remember...

Ah, my first Human Services Technology class. I refer to it ever so kindly as my judo class. That was called crisis intervention and that is where I met the most hilarious, outgoing, amazingly intelligent, loyal, respectful, and best friend in the entire world - Angie. Yes, we did judo together. It was...interesting. We were required to do nonviolent physical harm to one another. My professor refered to it as self-protection. "Deflect and move!" It was a fun class. From there on out, two strong bonds were formed, for I did love the Judo and Angie. In that order. Image

*flashes of bright white lights are happening really fastly* AH, here we are! We're in a psychology class and it's called "The Study of Personalities" and Dr. J is our professor. He seems to be pretty laid back. Very nice guy. He made the class really fun, too! Once again, Angie is in there with me. I told you we had a bond from day one! Melanie is sitting infront of us and she's beside Nancy. Throughout the quarter the four of us chitchat and we decide we wanna make another bond. Yay! So now we have Judo, Angie, and Melanie!

*flashes of bright green lights are happening rather slowly. you're quite interested in the shapes that's happening...* We're sitting in a classroom where we're being told we're gonna read about 3 million books and have to do papers on them and blah blah blah. It's awful. We also have a really bad toothache, which has to be cut out later. The professor says that we have to drop the class. UGH! What a horrible flashback. Let's move on...

*flashes of pink lights are happening and you feel extremely happy and energized* Now we're walking into a classroom. We've been in school for a year - we're pro's now! It's the fall quarter and tons of new faces. We're also in a 100 level course and Mary is our teacher. She's also the director of our program we're majoring in! She's fantastic! There's all kindsa bonds that are gonna form in here! The first one is Jimella. She's sitting up front, but she seems to love the field she's in. We'll talk to her after class. Ooh! There comes Melanie! She's coming to tell us there's a TRIBE meeting after class. Yep, we'll join that club! After class we meet all kindsa people. Angie's there! Yay! Another familiar face! Let's see, there's Julie, Amy, Missy, Jimella, Brandon..wow! So we decide to take a chair position in TRIBE. What in the world are we thinking?! An event coordinator?! Here we go. I guess we just dive in head first and see what happens. Apparently we're going to have to learn some organizational skills. We'll work on that. It's really fun to sit and talk to everyone, especially Mary. We want to get to know her better for sure!

*flashes of orange light are blinking in a rythm that seems too familiar...* Ah, it's Halloween time. Hrm, we've been talking all quarter about having a halloween part. Who's we? OH! Angie, Melanie and myself. We're not sure how it's gonna turn out, but we do know one thing. Angie is going to make out with a bat! Mahahah! So we start planning. It's a great opportunity to really get to know one anther other than in class and the TRIBE meetings.

*flashes of black lights are appearing and disappearing and you dont even know it cause its too dark to see them...* It's the halloween party! We're at Angie's house. Steve dropped us off and Melanie is on her way. We're going to go with Angie to Wal*mart and get the neccessary items as well as a few other three-leaf-clover stores. We meet up with Melanie and she follows us back to Angie's. Angie makes homemade pizza and some killer dip. We eat dip and chips all night. We love it. We also have some drinks and play some few games. It gets out of control at some points [yes more than one point], but we're having a blast! We will never forget this night.

*flashes of purple light gently blink off and on because your head is hurting from the halloween party...* We're sitting in a classroom. Angie is here, Melanie, Nancy, Jimella - Hey! we know all kindsa people. We're also wondering how we're going to learn about the community in a class. Interesting. So we sit down beside Angie cause Melanie is sitting beside Nancy. Our professor is Dave and he's hilarious! We laugh the entire time, practically. We also meet another hilarious woman and form another bond! Her name is Dusty. She has one interesting family, that's for sure! She's not afraid to talk about em in class either! It's hilarious! We also find out that she had her baby! Her 3rd baby and he's a beautiful, healthy baby boy. We're all so happy for her!

*flashes of red lights are going in circles and you think you're getting pulled over by the cops...* Now we're sitting in a classroom. We know over 90% of the people in here. The professor obviously loves horses. We're sitting between Angie and Cary - two of our bestest friends. We make some more bonds! We make a bond with Julie and Amanda! About the only good thing we know that's comin out of this class, other than building towers with noodles and gumdrops! Image We're being talked down to by this horse loving professor. She's obviously got no idea what *she's* in for this quarter. We're not one to sit and take crap from someone *we're* paying to teach us, yanno? We just don't roll like that! We're pretty gangsta.

*flashes of yellow lights are making you feel really happy and make you think of daisies* You're sitting in Abnormal Psychology and it's near Christmas time. You're between Melanie and Angie and you couldn't be more happy. The class itself is somewhat boring and somewhat interesting. We pass notes with Melanie and Angie and Cary because we're planning a Christmas party! We're gonna play the white elephant game and it's going to be super sweet! We make all kindsa plans and everything. We even invite other people whom we barely know!

*flashes of ugly, puke green lights are going off and you're not feeling so well now...* It's the week of Christmas and you're sick.as.a.dog. You can barely talk. The Christmas party is coming up and we're so very excited! We get all of the gifts together and head over to Angie's. Melanie is the only one that shows up. Oh, Angie's mom is there too. We meet her for the first time. She's just as hilarious as Angie! Even though it's the four of us, we have a fantastic time. We even trade gifts and everything.

*flashes of gray lights are just..flashing..* All of a sudden we have a certification and we're a counselor at one of the local DUI school's. We can't believe this! Just a year ago we were starting college and now we're counseling people. Never in a million years would we have guessed this is where we would be sitting. We're in complete Awe of ourselves.

*flashes of yellow and green lights are going off rapidly making you excited* Now we're planning a walk a thon for child abuse awareness. This is our first big event we're planning so we gotta learn day by day. It's a good turn out for our first TRIBE event and things went rather smoothly. Couldn't be more proud of the TRIBE members, which now include Cary, Amanda, Dusty, and Angie! We've formed our own little family. We take care of each other. The walk a thon was a success in our book - and our book is the only one that matters.

*flashes of multi-colored lights are going off all around you and you notice it's flashes from cameras...* We're at graduation. Yep, we're sitting at graduation. Unbelievable. How time has flown by! All of our friends are here...Jimella, Melanie, Angie, Cary, Dusty, and Missy. We just sit and look at each of them and feel nothing but proud of all of our friends. These girls are more than our friends, they're like our sisters. We take pictures together, some serious, some goofy. We even grab Mary and make her take a picture with us. We're having fun. We've achieved one of our goals. We're lining up for graduation now, so now more socializing until afterwards. When our sisters are called up to the stage, we scream, clap and holler for them. We're so proud and we don't care who knows! We're kinda sad because now we've got another chapter of our lives to start and we hope that these ladies, our sisters, are still going to be a major part of it. Part of us even thinks that without these ladies, we wouldn't have survived the first two years. Unconditional. Positive. Regard. Unconditional. Love. Unconditional. Support. Unconditional.

Ok - as cheesey as that may have been, that's as creative as I can get at a quarter til 3 in the morning. I can't sleep. My mind just wont slow down. Maybe it's because I slept til 11am toda. Tee-hee! Im even doing laundry. Yes, that's how bored I am. Steve is sound asleep. Mahahah! Anyway - Gonna go put the clothes in the dryer. I hope you liked my lil...creativity? Soon as I get some pictures, I'll post them. Cary will be emailing me a few shortly. She's a busy woman! To all  of my bestest friends that read this - I love you guys. I hope each of you know that.

Mood: Happy
Listening to: The Negotiator on TV

Hey guys! I figured that since I've changed the look of the place, we'll play a little game! In order to play, you have to be registered at blogigo because you'll have to leave your answers in a comment. Here's the game: Im going to post a picture. In the picture there are other lil pictures of different movies over the past bagillion years. Your job is to spot as many as you can. Once you find some, post them in a comment. Now then - before you post your answer, check others answers so that you don't repeat their answers. Make sense? Ok, here we go. I'll post 3 answers so that you guys can see how it works! Here's the picture:

Good luck!

Revamping a little

Mood: Happy
Listening to: Steve singing

Hey ya'll! I changed the look of my blog a little. I know the title picture isn't all redneck or country, but to me it's calming and I like it. I think it looks a bit more summery and happy. Right now, I couldn't be happier. Sometimes, I just get tired of the black background. Today, I've got to run to my grandparents house because I forgot my phone there. Steve took a picture of me in my cap and gown with my phone for me to post pictures on here for ya'll, and I forgot it! So, Im gonna run and get it and I'll be posting a picture by this evening! Im also going to get some laundry done [at least two loads today], clean up the kitchen real good, and clean my car inside and out! I hope you guys are having a good weekend, I know I am.

I just want to say that my family came to my graduation last night. It made me feel so good. When I walked across the stage, Cory and Steve yelled [and it was so loud, even Dr. Evans - the dean - started laughing], my mom was wavin her arms frantically and smiling so big [at first i thought she was standing on the chair!]. I saw my pawpaw's face [out of the entire row of people, i spotted pawpaw] and his lil chin was quivering. It looked like he was gonna cry. He is so proud of me and that is pure motivation for me to continue! Well, my entire family is proud of me. Mawmaw was very proud of me too. She's so sweet. Infact, there are tons of people proud of me. I am still on cloud 9. Daddy was there! He and my step mother came. Daddy kept hugging me.

It was a good day and I have an amazing life.

Yay

Mood: Excited and very proud of myself
Listening to: Milo and Otis stomp around. They're playing and running everywhere. lol!

So today I graduate with my Associate Degree in Applied Science. This time in the year 2008, I'll be graduating with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and perhaps a minor in Sociology! Im so excited. I decorated my cap, I'll post pictures of it later. I just wrote the name of my program, the year, the club I'm in thats involved with this program, and i made balloons [but they look like lil sperms  ]. I used green, silver, red, gold, and turquoise glitter. I hope it stands out! Our school colors are hunter green and white.

Im really excited. I couldn't sleep last night. I did really well in my classes this quarter and I've got my schedule for the next two quarters [from now until November] already completed. Im ahead of the game. Im also working on that halloween costume party that's going to be on October 21st that TRIBE is hosting. My cap and gown are black and my tassel is gold. Each degree has a different color tassel. Some are peach, some are green, some are green and white. Ours is gold. Some of us decorated our hats, like I said earlier. I did! Mahahah! Also, Cary is bringing her digital camera to take pictures so I'll be posting some pictures soon. I actually feel like I've achieved something since high school.

I think my school is having a cookout afterwards or something. I was in the counselors office yesterday getting my bachelors degree straightened out and saw the napkins and plates and stuff. Our graduation is outside so I'll bet they grill or do bbq's or something. I think Steve and I will stay for that and hang out, unless my family wants to do something afterward. I think Im going to go hop in the shower and eat me some lunch. I have to get to school before 5:30 because they're taking individual pictures of us. Mine starts at 5:30. We line up at 6:30. The graduation starts at 7pm. Im excited, ya'll! I will update tonight or tomorrow to let ya'll know how it went. As soon as I get pictures, I'll post them. Im gonna get off of here and just soak up today. Might go down to my grandparents for a couple of hours and visit them, come back, get a shower, get ready and go. Im just too anxious to sit still. lol!

Finals - Done. Graduation - To Come!

Mood: Excited about tomorrow!
Listening to: The phone ringing

Finals are OVER! Sheesh. That sucked. I swear, I have never studied longer or harder for a final than I did for that freakin political science final! I studied all day Tuesday. When I say all day, I mean all day. Literally like 5 hours. That's all day to me. Ugh! Ok, let me get my thoughts together so I can update ya'll on my week so far.

On Monday I had 2 finals. I made a 94% [A] on my public speaking final, which that grade should be an A. I only found out cause I emailed my professor and asked her. I can't stand to not know my grades. It kills me! I also told you I made an A on my last speech that was a huge chunk of our grade as well as the outline for it. So, that class is taken care of and I've got an A. *celebration dance* I took my group dynamics 2 final and made a 96% on it. That's an A. I love making A's. It makes me feel so tingly inside. Yes, Im bragging. Im allowed because I've worked hard! So, my overall in that class is a 98%. *celebration dance*

Tuesday I spent the entire day studying for my political science final. I also had the leadership award ceremony. That was a crock of bullcrap! The person who beat me out of the overall award for the applied science - isn't even a student anymore! She just couldn't walk through graduation last year so she's doing it this year. SHE ISNT A STUDENT! Isn't that some crap?! She isn't even involved with the applied science club on campus or ANYTHING! Man, I was annoyed. I also didnt get my Relay for Life certificate because I joined too late. Oh well! I got my lil award and our director gave us all lil goodie bags. That was sweet.

Wednesday - my most dreaded day! Ugh. I got up, studied, went to school around 2pm. I spent from 2pm - 4pm in the advisors office trying to figure out my bachelors degree once and for all! I found out that health communications limits you to the healthcare field. What if I dont wanna work in the healthcare field forever and ever? What if I wanna do somethin crazy and be a school guidance counselor or something?! So, after 1.5 hours of sitting there discussing majors and which would best suit me and my needs for right now, we decided on Psychology. That way, I can get my masters if I want to. I can work practically anywhere. So, I declared my bachelors degree, got my cap and gown, took it to the car, then went to take a final. The first final was open book. It was hard questions, but there were only 8 of them. Cake. I got done in an hour.

I had 2 hours before my political science final. So, Jimella and I went up to the quietest place on campus and studied. We studied nonstop for 2 hours. I think that helped me more than just studying by myself. I remembered more because I had to explain things to her. You know, the best way to learn something is when you have to teach it. It's been proven! So at about 10 til 7 I was ready to throw up. We go down to the classroom and our professor is already in there. We studied clear up until he said, 'clear your desks'. Those dreaded words. He hands out the final and I flip directly to the fill in the blank. That's my weakness. So, I get those finished, then I do the true/false. I hate true/false! Ugh. Then the matching. Oh I OWNED the matching part! Then there was the multiple choice section. Nailed it. I missed 5 total. I missed one fill in the blank and 4 true/false. Told you I hate true/false! That was just my professor eyeballing it. I probably missed more - BUT I know I at least got a B on it! That means my final grade will be either a B or an A. *celebration dance x 3*

I left class, came home, cooked dinner, cleaned up, and went to bed. I'm leaving momentarily to go to school. I have to hold a TRIBE meeting at 2pm. It's the last meeting we're having until August 24th. We're going to do a bake sale in September to bring in some money. You know, in one day we made 200.00 in a bake sale! So we might make even more this time! Im gonna post the flyer for the costume party on here shortly. I also am holding a meeting with the fellow graduates to decorate our caps for graduation tomorrow. That starts at 3pm. Then, at 4:30 pm I have a meeting with Janet to get my fall and summer schedule hammered out since I changed my major. Then, I'll be home! Gonna do some laundry and figure out what Im gonna wear underneath that black graduation gown of mine that's hanging in the closet!

Tomorrow = Graduation. So, at 7pm eastern time, where ever you are, please think of me and pray that I don't trip up or down the steps to the stage! Ugh! Gotta get going. Gotta make copies of the agenda and get the tables set up for the meeting!

Very Quickly

Mood: Tired
Listening to: X Files on TNT *creepy music goes here*

UH OH! Today is 06-06-06!

This is a quick update! I have to get in bed. Im tired and I have a 7:15am appointment tomorrow morning. I just wanted you guys to know a few things:

  1. To click on a link to a blog that's been 'recently updated' and it doesnt work for you [it's fighting with me], take out the " .uk" part of the url and change it to www.blogigo.com/nameofblog or whateveer. it'll work.
  2. I made a 96% on one of my finals today and I have an overall grade in the class of 97%.
  3. I made a 90/100 on my speech, 48/50 on my outline for my speech, 25/25 on my self-analysis, and now im waiting on my test grade for my final in public speaking. I had a 95% going into the final.
  4. I have an award ceremony tomorrow at 7pm in which Im being recognized for my leadership-ness. *cheer* *brag*
  5. I have an open book final on Wednesday at 4pm. easy. as. pie.
  6. I have a superhardfreakingoutwhatamigonnadoififailthisfinal final on Wednesday at 7pm. It's in political science. Just kill me now.
  7. I graduate on Friday at 7pm.*cheer*

That's about it. Im going to go to bed now. I know this isnt normal, but it's just the basic facts. I hope you guys are having a good week. Mist: im thinking about you and your family. Jackie: I love you and I miss you. Please take care of you. Sissa: I miss you! Tchocky: We all grow in our relationships of all kinds. It gives a new meaning to, 'you live - you learn'. Just hang in there, sweetie. Aly: *hugs* You deserve all the hugs in the world.

"...Im an overachiever like that..."

Mood: happy
Listening to: cars outside and my kitties play

Hey ya'll! It's been a nice weekend! I've not really done too much. Things are going great here in my world. This upcoming week, I'm so looking forward to! There's a lot happening! Finals, of course, but those aren't so great. I don't really have much to say, honestly. Let's see, on Friday I got up and went to the pool. I was at my new friend, Lori's. If you go to my myspace, she's one of my friends. She's a really nice woman. We get along really well. I met her this quarter and we're already hangin out. I love it! We swam at her place for like 2 hours or so, then a thunderstorm came. So, we went inside and we talked til 3:30! I left there and went to my grandparents, where I waited on momma. We were gonna get some stuff together for a yard sale, but that didnt happen. I came home around 8 or 9 and went to bed.

Saturday I got up and messed around the house. Around 2 I went to my grandparents house and met up with momma. Me, Mawmaw and momma all went shopping for about an hour together. Then, we dropped mawmaw off and her stuff off, and headed to some yard sales. There were like a bagillion of them around here. We got a few things. I stayed the night with momma. We did girly stuff. We watched movies and just kinda hung out.

Today, I dont have anything planned. Im gonna watch my speech and write my paper, that's due tomorrow. I might adventure to my grandparents house, although steve and I need to go get some groceries. We might do that and Im just gonna do laundry and stuff like that here. Im gonna study for my finals tonight. I have 2 finals tomorrow. One at 2pm and one at 4pm. They're going to be easy. These two are the easy ones. I have one hard one this quarter - Political Science. That's at 7pm on Wednesday. Pray for me. It's a tough class! After my final at 2pm I'll have like 2 hours to kill. The midterm in that class took literally 45 minutes. So i'll have like from 2:45ish to 4pm to kill. I might go to Lori's a swim, or I might just stay at the school and study. It's like responsible vs. fun. Probably will be studying, as I need the highest GPA there is because I'm an overachiever like that.

Tuesday I've got an appointment at 8am. When that's over I'll probably go to my grandparents for a bit then come home. Im gonna study a bit for my political science final. At 7pm there's an award ceremony that I've been requested to attend. Im being honored for my academic and leadership achievements. Yay! *dance* Steve's going to go and he *hates* going to things like that. Momma will be there, too. Probably Uncle michael, caitlin and cory. It's awfully late for my grandparents to get out, so I told them that my graduation is more important. It is! I'd rather them make it to my graduation than to this award ceremony. Love their hearts.

So I've still been thinking of some spooky halloween decorations. Ive been looking online for some ideas and stuff. I think I've made up my mind to have it inside for two main reasons. #1 - There's bathrooms that are closeby. Literally like 5 feet away. #2 - I can keep track of who's coming in the dance and who's leaving the dance. If it's outside, why would people buy a ticket? they could just sneak in from the back side of the courtyard. Well, then there's the obvious reasons; food, strobe lights, fog machines, black lights, orange lights, etc. We'll just have to think of games that are not messy and do them indoors. I think the dancefloor is going to be fine. We'll just push some tables back and let em go! I doubt there will be that many dancing. For some reason, people are shy. Confuses me. You're at a costume party. There's a live band. Everyone else is acting a fool. Who cares?! lol! I still need some creative and cheap ideas from you guys, though, OR if you have any websites I can check out! I hope you guys had a great weekend!

A Lil Game

Mood: tired
Listening to: tv

Take the first letters of your first name (if you are feeling daring, do your last name as well) and, using these letters, let us know who you are using verbs, adjectives and nouns, etc.  What is the essence of you?   No rules to this one.   Let's have fun and get to know one another!

Sincere
Happy
Enjoyable
Loving
Loyal
Young

Jiggly [ahahaha!]
Extravagent
Ambitious
Nurturing

Now it's your turn! Let's see, tomorrow I don't have much planned. Im going to go swimming, if it doesnt thunderstorm, from around Noon - 3. Then I'm gonna come back home and clean a bit. Gonna go hang out with my family for a bit or something tomorrow night. I might just rest. Who knows. I have no plans set in stone. I do have some things I need to work on for school. I have to watch the dvd of my last speech and critique it in a one page paper. It's due on Monday. I've got to get the flyers and teasers completely finished for our upcoming costume party for TRIBE. I've got to attempt to get everyone together to decorate our caps for graduation. I've got to send out updated emails about the TRIBE meeting and reminders for the next meeting on the 8th. All of that has to be done by Monday. I also have 2 finals on Monday that I need to study for. Tuesday Im getting recognized as a leader! Yay! Wednesday I have my last 2 finals of my 2 year degree! Thursday is when our TRIBE meeting is and when we're decorating caps. Friday is graduation at 7pm!

If you guys have any suggestions on what we can do for the costume party as far as recipes that are cheap and easy, decorations that we can make that are cheap and easy - that would be great! I thought about buying silk flowers and those that come in costume will get a black silk rose at the door or something. We're going to have a live band! We have the choice if we want it outside in the courtyard [which has a stage area. it's where they're doing graduation] but we can't put tape and crap on the building bricks. We can, however, decorate all of the picnic tables, flag poles, etc. We can use the grills to grill food too. If we have it inside the rotunda [which is a huge ginormous room with a stage and a little dancefloor area. it's where my school has all of their 'concerts'], we will be inside, bathrooms will be near, food will not get bugs on it, more decorations which can include fog machines and strobe lights and black lights, and we can decorate it more and have more control over who's coming and going. What do you guys think would be best? inside or outside?

I challenge you guys to help me think of creative ways to do this and very cheaply! You guys are great for brainstorming! If you dont wanna post your idea, email it to me. I don't mind one bit. It's called 'A Ghoul's Night Out' if you were wondering.

ok - i need to get in bed. it's 20 til 4 in the morning. I slept from like 9pm - 1am and now im wide awake. im gonna go crawl back into bed. i hope ya'll are having a good week! Sissa: glad to see youre back, but im sorry that things are so sucky for you right now. Mey!! Glad you're back!! I read your entry but didn't comment. I'll do that tomorrow - I promise! Angel, Mist, Aly, Tchock - i read all of your updates too! I just didnt comment. Angel, take a pic of those chaps! Mist - hang in there, things will get easier with time. Families can be like a rollercoaster ride. Aly - even though things are not going so great w/your brother, my thoughts and prayers are with him. It can be very frustrating. Tchocky: if i win the lottery, you'll be the third person i call. I promise. I wish things were going better for you sweetie. Just hang in there. Rainbows follow storms. :)

Computer Problems and Classes Ovah!

Mood: Lovin next week!! YAY!!
Listening to: Elimidate on TV and Steve talkin about his character on a game

Hey ya'll! Man, it's been awhile since I've been able to log into blogigo! I've tired every day and finally realized what was wrong with my computer. I had to restore my computer. Ugh! Anyway - not too much has been going on since Monday. I guess I can update ya'll the best that I can remember. Ready? Ready. WAIT - I first wanna say that I can't wait for sissa to update her blog. I've missed her!!

Ok - so on Monday, Memorial Day, Steve and I just spent the day together. We were gonna go do this and do that. We were gonna go to the drive in movies, we were gonna go get ice cream, we were gonna blah blah blah, but we stayed home. I guess I needed to rest. I had to work on my last speech. So, I spent the evening working on that. Talked to momma throughout the day. Tuesday was boring too! Mahahah! I worked on my speech all day. Just kinda hung out here at the house. Steve and I cleaned a little. That was basically it.

Wednesday, today, was crazy! Sheesh! I got up this morning and got ready. I had to go to my professor's office to get my visual aid for my speech. Then, I went to the computer lab and printed off the forms I needed for my speech. After that, it was off to lunch! I ate me a hot dog and some chips. I had Dr. Pepper to drink, if you're wondering. I gave my speech second today. It was disasterous for me, but Im very critical. Everyone else said I was entertaining and did a great job. I've yet to watch the DVD. I might let momma watch this DVD so she can see me in action. Who knows - I might change my mind! Mahah! I've not even let Steve see them. After public speaking, I went to the Shake Shoppe with my friend Lori and we had an ice cream. It was a bagillion degrees here today. Then it was off to class at 4pm. That class is very laid back so it wasn't rough. At 7pm I had my VERY LAST POLITICAL SCIENCE CLASS!! YAY! I just go next Wednesday and take the final..thats it! Im OH so happy. No more 10 hour school days on Wednesdays for me! *cheer* We got outta class at 8:30pm! Can ya'll believe that?! So, I was home early tonight. Couldn't have asked for a better evening.

Since then, I've just kinda vegged. Not really done anything. Tuesday was a big day for my momma and I couldn't be more proud of her. Changes are always scary because we all fear the unknown. It's human nature. The only way you know if it's going to work or fail is to try it one way and see. There's always an option B. Never limit yourself to just one option in life, guys. ALWAYS look for that option B. That's what I've been doing since January and life has been MUCH simpler.

Tomorrow is a busy day for me! I've gotta be at the school around 11am. Going to tutor/help one of my friends with her final. Then, at 1:30pm I have a meeting to give a presentation on TRIBE's next event. After that, I've got to leave and get home. I'm taking Steve and Otis to the vet. Steve is going to hold Otis while I drive. I'll never try to drive a car and hold a cat again. Ever. I need a pet carrier. BAD! Gonna get one of those asap! Otis' appointment is at 3pm. He's getting his shots. Then, I'm coming home and going through my closet until momma calls me. TRIBE members are having a yard sale, so I gotta go through some of my clothes. Momma is going to give me some of her old stuff that she doesnt want. Tim said he would give me some stuff too! Yay! So sweet of them. I gotta go to Wal*Mart and get those lil round stickers to price the things. The good thing is, I don't have to sit there all day friday with the stuff. Couple of the girls are going to!

Friday, hopefully, Im going to go to a friends house and go swimming! Where she's living has an inground pool. Im gonna lay out in the sun and go swimming for a few hours. Get me some sun! I love it! I'll be hanging out with momma this weekend for the most part. Sunday I have to study for my finals on Monday. I have one in public speaking and one in group dynamics 2. Tuesday evening is the leadership award ceremony. Wednesday I have 2 finals: Behavior Management 2 and Political Science. Thursday there's a TRIBE meeting. Friday night is graduation!! I get an entire week off, then it's back to the grind stone!

This summer I'm taking an art class. Can ya'll believe it?! It's called Introduction to Ceramics! Im gonna make stuff! I'm taking 2 communication classes. In the fall I start my foriegn language. Im taking sign language. I think it's more important than spanish, french, or german. After your third sign language class, you get state certified! That's just another certification! I'm First Aid/CPR [Adult and Infant] certified, Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant [state certified], Social Worker Assistant [state certified], Associate Degree in Applied Science [2 year degree] - and that's just 1/2 of my schooling! Yes, I'm bragging. Yes, I sound self-centered. I've earned it, dangit! lol!

Well, it's getting late so I am gonna head to bed. I might visit ya'll and leave some luvins, if I can stay awake. If not, I'll leave you some luvins by Friday.
