Always Remember

Mood: Remembering and Honoring
Listening to: Star Spangled Banner

Spend this day remembering those that have died for the freedoms we're enjoying. Spend this day remember those overseas right now. Spend this day with those you love, celebrating life - past, present and future. Spend this day remembering those that haven't come home yet. Spend this day remembering...

*i had to shrink this down a little to fit. Here is what it says...*
For all the free people that still protest, you're welcome.
We protect you and you are protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud, but who will fight for you?
No one standing in your crowd.
We are your fathers, brothers, and sons,
Wearing the boots and carrying the guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
To make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die.
We might not be able to save the world, well at least we try.
We walked the paths to where we are at,
And we want no choice, other than that.
So when you rally your group to complain
Take a look in the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly,
Wars must be fought and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear,
If that's not respected, we would rather stay here
So please stop yelling, and put down your signs
And pray for those behind enemy lines.
When the conflict is over, and all is well,
Be thankful that we chose to go through hell.

* This is also a special time to remember *our* loved ones who have passed on. Im sure there isnt a day that goes by without you remembering your loved ones who have passed on. Just be sure to take a special moment today and celebrate the life they shared with you here on earth. *

How and when do you know for sure?

Insomnia and Fear. A horrible combination!

Mood: Scared!
Listening to: Myself falling asleep...

Ok, so I can't sleep. I don't know why. Maybe it's because I have nothing on my mind or because it has everything on my mind. Who knows!

Moving on. First of all, I don't have class until next Wednesday. That's a great thing. I'm giving my speech and I'm not too nervous. It's always kinda nerve wrecking when you know you're being graded AND video taped while giving a speech and you have to meet certain criteria. I just want to do a good job. I've got an A in the class right now. Let's keep it that way.

AHAHAHAHAH!! That icon is so hilarious! So, I have learned that insomnia is kinda rewarding. Tonight it has allowed me to get 2 flyers done and about 6 teaser flyers done for TRIBE's next event. The problem? I still have to talk to the director of student activities to ok the projects I made the flyers for. Mahahah! If she doesn't Ok them, I've wasted 4 hours. If she does, I'm all kindsa ahead of the game. I've also learned that insomnia can lead to the surfing of the internet. You can type in a word like "lala" and google can find the most crazy things.

Let's see, I came up with the following:

  •  "we rocked the body that rocks the party. Or vice versa. Possibly both, that's how much we rocked."
  • "Lala Land. I've been to paradise but I've never been to me ..."
  • Lala is a Trojan Horse that allows unauthorized access to a compromised computer. [Ah ha! I finally figured out what a Lala is! Thank you google!]

According to this website: www.googlism.com this is what "Shelly" [or  in simpler terms, 'me'] can be defined as:

  • shelly is the goddess of angst
  • shelly is upset and asks why he needs her permission [yes! in one sentence I turned into a 'he' and managed to need 'her' permission!]
  • shelly is surprised when tammy shows up to tell shelly that she got engaged! [Yay! I couldn't be more happy for all of the Tammy's in the world that are engaged! *cheers*]
  • shelly is highly adept at meeting and exceeding the expectations of her clients. Mahahahahaha!! Shaddup! I know what you're thinking!
  • shelly is bald. what?What?WHAT?
  • shelly is a doberman pinscher that was judged "best trained dog 2000" by the international dog trainers society. At least I'm a best trained bitc...
  • shelly is a an activist and she won't take no for an answer. Aint that the truth!
  • shelly is found. AH! FINALLY! I was so worried. I've been looking for myself for days. It's been tragic. No wonder I can't sleep.

Alright, now I need to show you guys something. PREPARE YOURSELVES!! This made me shiver with utter fear. Angel: this will scare you most. Why? because this picture could be your reality in the blink of an eye. Now, if this ever happens to you, all you have to do is call me. I'll talk you down then I'll talk to mini you. This may be traumatic, so if you have to go into therapy of some sorts, don't be forwarding me any bills.

*takes a deep breath* Ya'll ready? Here we go...

I KNOW!!!! It's ok. It isn't real..for me. THE EYEBALLS ARE RED! THE TEETH ARE JAGGED. The dog is tiny. Look..at...the...needle...and how this tiny puppy is saying: TOUCH ME AND I'LL KEEL YOU! This is scaring me worse than the EVP crap on ghost hunters on the sci-fi channel.

I need to go take a muscle relaxer and try to sleep.

Scared. As. Crap.

Yay

Mood: Happy
Listening to: America's Next Top Chef

I just wanted to do a quick lil update while I watch the season finale of Top Chef. If any of you watch Top Chef: Harold won. Steve loves this show and he wanted Harold to win from day one.

My point of the entry is this:

Taylor Hicks [ yes the gray haired guy ] won American Idol. Yay! It was a great finale. I missed the first hour because I was in political science, but I got home at 9pm. Im going to buy the season on DVD. I think that this was a fantastic season. I *really* wanted Taylor to win because my grandparents, who are almost 80 years old, called and voted for him on Tuesday night. They *love* him. My grandmother has loved him since day one. I was really excited when he won, just because they like him so much. Pawpaw liked Mandisa, too. I just thought I would gloat a little, because I'm proud.

So now it's time for "So you think you can dance?" I LOVE THAT SHOW! Mahahaha! The preview was cracking me up. Tchocky: if that comes on where you are, check it out. Angel: you would love it, too!

I hope ya'll are having a great evening. I'll be updating tomorrow!

My Blog Personality Test Result

Mood: Happy and Hungry
Listening to: ESPN on TV

On Aly's Blog, she has a link to this website where you can take a blog personality test. my results are below. I thought it was interesting.

You are an ENTJ!

As an ENTJ, you are Extraverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging.
This makes your primary focus on Extraverted Thinking with an Introverted Intution.

This is defined as a NT personality, which is part of Carl Jung's Rational (Knowledge Seeking) type, and more specifically the Field Marshal or Executive.

Because of your take-charge tendancies, you might be likely to organize a group weblog. You get along best with people who see things the same way as you, and so some of your favorite blogs to read may be people with a Thinking part to their personality type. You are very dynamic, and may intimidate people with a less enthused spirit.

My Babies, Ball Pythons, and Gifts from Canada!

Mood: Happy and Hawt
Listening to: the TV is on. Steve's watchin something.

They finally stopped fighting. Otis is now taking care of Milo. He gives him a bath, cleans his ears, cleans his eyes. It's so sweet.

Yes, I am bragging. Yes, Im allowed. I took this picture today just a few minutes ago. When I got home they were sleeping on the loveseat. Im so proud!

Ok - on to one more thing. I'm at the house because my 4pm class was cancelled. I'll bring you guys up to date on my day real quick. You'll get another entry tomorrow or Friday.

Let's see, I went and paid for my cap and gown. I also tried on a gown. Then, I talked to the student activity coordinators at school to see who they get to do catering. Then, I went to class. I HELD A BALL PYTHON SNAKE!! Yes, you read that right. This lil redneck girl faced her fears and wrapped a snake around her. It flicked me with its tongue. Do I want one? NOPE! Would I hold it again? Yeah. It looked like the snake from the movie "anaconda" only smaller. It's not albino, it's like...military colors and her name was Nola. My friend, Lori, gave a speech on why snakes make great pets. I WAS TERRIFIED! I was shaking, sweating, bout to pass out, I heard the train noise momma! Mahaha!

Ok, I also got a present from my sissa! Im gonna open it right now, take a picture then i'll add it to this in a second. So, hang on just a second while I open it. It's a poster! It's a poster that looks just like Otis when he was a baby! I also got a hairbow! Mahahah! Ok, let me get this pictures done so I can post them on here then Im gonna stop for the day. I still have one more class tonight...Political Science, then I'm off until next Wednesday. I have to give a speech on Wednesday, too. Ok, let me fix these pictures now.

** Please note: it is a billion degrees outside and my hair is in a sideways pony tail. Im all kindsa burning up in this picture.**

* doesnt that look like Otis when he was a baby?! So very cute!*

Thank you sweetie!!! I just love it!

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures!

Mood: Hungry, Happy, and Glad to be alive!
Listening to: Trucks driving around outside and a lil baby laughing

So, I took some pictures and am going to post them, just like I promised. They're also on my photobucket page and my flickr album. Feel free to go to flickr and leave comments about the pictures. I don't mind. Here they are!

This is Steven and his momma. I took this picture on May 18th just before Steve's baby sister's graduation. I just love this picture. She was so happy that Steve was there because Steve's brother, Scottie, is living in Wyoming.

Here's Milo. He's our newest edition. He was sleeping int he middle of the floor and I took my phone and put it infront of him and snapped this. Isn't he adorable?

Here's my lil man Otis! See how big he is getting?! He was laying in the middle of the floor while Milo was over next to me. That's whyt he rug looks purple in that picture up there. It's really like fire engine red. Yes, that is my couch in the upper left hand corner. Mahahah!

Here's another picture of Milo. I tried to get him to look directly at me, but he wasn't. He was getting distracted by everything. He was sitting with me. He's got the white strip down his nose and his mouth is gray and white. Each one of his paws is white and he's got a white chest. He's so cute! He's doing fantastic, too!

Here's my lil man lyin in the sun. See how big he's getting?! He's lookin at me like, 'would you please stop?' mahahaha! He was sleeping and I woke him up. He's got me wrapped around his tiny lil paw! Mahahah!

Here's a picture of Milo but his face is blurry. He's sitting next to the lil house that I bought for Otis. He loves that thing and Otis won't go inside it. Milo wouldn't hold his head still long enough for me to get a picture...and this was taken with my phone! I just wanted ya'll to see that you can see, barely, the white around his mouth and on his chest and his cute lil paws. His eyes are the color of Otis' eyes!

So there ya have it. There's the three men in my life that I love oh so much! I hope ya'll are having a great Tuesday. It'll probably be Thursday or Friday before I update again. Wednesday's I have class from 2 - 10pm. I've got to go in around 1, though, so I can order my cap and gown. I do, however, come and read ya'lls updates and read your comments, so don't feel too neglected! Mahah!

Milo and Otis

Mood: Very Happy, Very Relaxed, and Very proud of my momma
Listening to: Milo and Otis play

Hey ya'll! How's your Tuesday goin? Mine is goin fantastic.  Wanna know why? I have no classes today and I have no homework to do for tomorrow. Infact, Im not even going to study for finals or anything. That may sound irresponsible but I don't care. I need a minute to just enjoy what I have. I do have some big news for ya'll. Well, it was big news here in my lil home.

I have another kitten. His name is Milo. So, I now have Milo and Otis. Steve wanted to name him  Tard, Ralph [the karate kid's first name in real life cause milo was doing some judo moves when he and Otis were fighting - he was copying otis' ninja roll], Hobo [which i hated], and cat. He didn't want another cat. at. all. I couldn't help it. I couldn't leave him. So I brought him home last night. He's all gray, but it's a dark gray. He has white on his chin and his four little paws are white. He's got blue eyes right now, but I think they'll end up turnin green like Otis' eyes. He's small, but he's fat. He's eaten constantly since I've brought him home. The week that we go to the beach  is the week this lil man is going to get declawed, I think. I gotta get him fixed too.

Naturally, they're fighting.  I think Otis is more playing than fighting cause they chase each other. Then Otis will pin him and they'll wrestle a bit and Milo will hiss then run. For the first few hours I kept screaming at Otis to stop, but then I sat and really watched and Otis doesn't bite him. He holds him down and licks him. Mahahah! Now, sometimes he bites. Milo can hold his own though! Milo has one advantage. He has lil claws in his front feet and Otis doesnt.

Momma came down yesterday evening and saw em. Then she got mascara in her eye and had to leave.  I love it when she comes down. We just sit and chit chat. She was cracking up. I wanted her to help me name it, but she wasn't any help. mahhaahah! She left around 8. She was only here like an hour or so. Hopefully she'll come back down one night this week!  Otis is getting so big. I need to take some pictures of them. They were sleeping in the window together last night, then they curled up together and slept on the loveseat a bit. When I woke up this morning, Otis was sleeping behind my knees and Milo was sleeping on steve's lap.

The good thing is that they're eating and drinking out of the same bowls at the same time AND they're both using the same litter box.  I think when Otis stops trying to show him that he's the man and this is his house, it'll all be well. They're gonna be good friends. It's hilarious. They'll be playing in here in the bedroom and Otis will go into the living room and meow then Milo runs in there and attacks him. Otis really needed this. He was so lonely and so bored. He just walked around and meowed and Steve and I aren't home enough to keep him busy. Otis is eating more now, he's more active - it just makes me happy.

Today I have nothing planned, other than cleaning. That shouldn't take me too long. Gonna do a couple loads of laundry [it's all i have left to do], do the dishes, clean up, mop the floors maybe. American Idol comes on at 8 so I'll be watching that in hopes that Taylor wins. I'll take some pictures of Otis and Milo throughout the day and post them later on tonight so ya'll can see them. Im hoping to catch them sleeping all curled up together. Otis lays completely around him. I don't know if it's because he's protecting him or he's just trying to know if Milo moves. Mahahah! When I hold Milo, I have to hold Otis. I knew he would be jealous, but I don't favor either one. I still call Otis 'momma's boy' cause he is. Milo is  ' lil man ' lol! Catch ya'll on the flip side!

Swampthing

Mood: Believing in my momma and having faith in her.
Listening to: Steve and Otis snore. Buncha lazy bums!

Well, hey guys! How was your weekend? Mine was...eventful. I had some interesting things happen a few times, but other than that it was pretty quiet. School is winding down and Im so thrilled about that.  Although, I will be going for at least another year to get my bachelor's degree, but I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun starting on a new degree, taking different classes, learning different things! Cory is even going to enroll in college with me! Yay!

So let's start with Friday. Basically it's hard to remember! Mahah! Let me get my days figured out here. OH! OK! So, Friday I got up and updated my blog. After that, I did some laundry and watched some TV. Around 2 or so I went to my grandparents house. Mawmaw told me that Caitlin had her first band concert at 7pm so I told mawmaw I would definitely be there. They left their house around 3pm to go be with Caitlin until my Uncle got home. When my grandparents left at 3pm, I came on back home, changed clothes, watched Ellen, then headed back down to their house around 5pm.

We left around 6:15pm cause it started at 7pm. Cory came and brought his girlfriend!  She is so beautiful. She's Korean. Her hair comes down to her butt, it's straight and all one length. It's black and so shiny. She doesn't wear makeup either! I was so glad! I think she might wear lipgloss or something, but other than that - she's naturally beautiful. She's so sweet, too! Im really happy Cory is with her. She's great for him. She's so short! She's 5 foot tall. Just a tiny little thing. She couldn't be better for him, though.

On to Caitlin. Her group played first. She's in the 5th grade band. She plays flute, but she's wanting to switch to something else. I did the exact same thing. I played flute for a minute then switched to clarinet. She did so great though! I couldn't have been more proud of her. When they played the banana boat song [daaaaay - oh daaaay oh daylight come and me want to go home] I got all teary-eyed. She's just growin up so fast. 5th grade already! I feel so sorry for her, too. I think she needs to have more girls in her life and part of that me feeling sorry for her is guilt. I should be more part of her life. At the same time, Uncle Michael is doing fantastic with her. I couldn't be more proud of him. He is always there for her and she always feels at home with him.  He's a GREAT father. Ok, so after the concert, we all went back to mawmaw and pawpaw's and talked for a bit. I think I got home close to 11pm. Mahahah! I came home and worked on my outline for my speech. I got in bed around 3am.

On Saturday I got up early and went back to my grandparents house. Momma and I went and done some things and this is where it gets interesting. We were walking on this little path and there was a stray dog with us. This is gonna sound a lil out there, just bare with me. Momma was in front of me. We were walking on a path, then on some rocks, then onto a log that is across a lil pond. So, I was paying attention to the dog and then we come up onto the rock. You have to step onto the rock to get onto the log that leads across the pond. Well, the dog is standing on the rock so I go to step around him. My foot sank into this thick, black mud clear up to my knee!  It was like quick sand! So immediately I put my other foot down [my left one] and it sank halfway up my shin. So great. Im stuck in quick sand. It was tragic. I couldn't move! Mahahah! I was like tryin to pull my foot up and the ground just kept sucking my leg down in it! So anyway - I finally pulled my legs out and got stood up. We went back to my grandparents and I had mud all over me. I got in their shower and got it all cleaned off. Momma had an asthma attack cause it made her so upset - I thought it was hilarious. If anything crazy, stupid, or interesting can happen - I'll make it happen!

So, I spent a few more hours at my grandparents just talking. I came home around 1 or so. Cory called and he came down. He was here for like 4 or 5 hours. He had supper with us, then he went to visit his momma, I think. Steve and I just kinda hung out the rest of the night. I watched a lot of Law and Order: SVU. I love that show. There was like a marathon of it on. I also watched me some Kenny Chesney concert on TV. He is oh so hot. Oh, and he's a fantastic singer. Steve's favorite song by Kenny Chesney is "The Good Stuff." See?! Steve is just like a huge teddy bear! I love it! He does anything I ask him to do. Like, I was feeling so lazy on Saturday evening and he went and fixed me supper and brought it to me, would go get me stuff to drink. I didnt have to get outta bed. Of course, this all came with a price.  He called me "Swampthing." Mahahaha!

Sunday was a nonchalant day. I got up and worked a little more on my outline for my speech. Around 11 I took another shower. Yes, I had like 4 showers within 24 hour period. I got dressed and headed to the scholarship ceremony. It wast at 2pm. I don't get scholarships because I don't need them. My tuition is waived. So anyway, I did that and we got finished around 3:30pm. Then, I called my uncle to see if he wanted to meet me at my grandparents so that I could give him a haircut and I nearly killed him! He was sleeping on his porchswing and the phone rang and he flipped outta the porch swing. MAhahaahaha! Too funny! He showed up a bit after I did and I cut his hair and that was that. We just kinda hung out at my grandparents for a bit. I left there around 7 or so last night. I came home and finished my outline for my speech and did the last paper Im going to have to do this quarter! *cheer*

I got in bed last night around 3am and I got up at 9am. I couldn't sleep. I think I slept on my neck wrong or something cause it's hurting so bad. Im gonna try to lay back down when I finisht his and see if I can't get another hour or two of sleep. I don't have to give a speech today, thank goodness! It is speech day. The first speeches start. We have another speech day on Wednesday. Then, Monday is memorial day so we don't have class. On the 31st I give my speech. After that Wednesday, the following week is finals.  WOW! See how fast the time has went by! The first week of June is jampacked for me. June 2nd and June 3rd I'm doing a yard sale with some of the girls from school. June 4th I'm free for studying. June 5th I have 2 finals. June 6th I have an award ceremony. June 7th I have 2 finals. June 8th I think the graduates of the HST program are going to decorate our caps. June 9th is graduation. June 10th is our graduation party.  Then, I get an entire week to do nothing. June 19th, I start classes again.

So today is gonna be a decent day. I dont have anything stressful today or Wednesday. That's a good thing. Then, I'm off from Thursday - Wednesday. Wow! On Wednesday Im giving a speech. Then, the following Monday is finals. I just can't get over that! On Wednesday I am going to buy my cap and gown. OH I can't wait. I've already mailed in my RSVP or whatever it is to let them know how many people will be at graduation for me. Twenty Five people are coming. Yay! Well, they all probably won't show up, but at least they have a seat if they want to come. Well, now Im just rambling so Im gonna stop here. I sure do miss Teri. I hope everything goes great for her. She sent me something and I have to go to the post office today before class to get it.  Im excited! I'll post either tonight or tomorrow and show ya'll what it is! She's so sweet. I just LOVE getting stuff in the mail. You know what...I'm going to attempt to find the addresses ya'll gave me. I had them saved on my laptop. Can ya'll email me your addresses again so I can send ya'll cards and stuff? I know, Im a bad friend. Jackie: I got yours! I remember the city and state my lil bronco girl lives in, but not the address...and plus you're moving! So yeah.

to my ladies:    Send me an email with your home address? I have stuff to mail ya'll!

Justa Buncha Babble

Mood: Doin just fiiiiine
Listening to: Check Up On It by Beyonce

Hey guys! So today is a lazy day. I am working on my outline that is due monday, that's about it. Oh, and Im doing laundry. Mahahah! This update is gonna be one of my shortest ones, cause I dont have much to talk about. I went to Jamie Lee's graduation last night. I was so proud of her. Love her heart. She's a certified CNA cause where I live you have an opportunity, when you're a sophomore, to decide if you want to spend the last 2 years of high school going to a technical school and getting a trade. They have different ones. There' s CNA's, Cosmetology, Welding, Public Safety, and IT - the list goes on and on. She's worked for a year in a nursing home as a CNA and she loves it. I know I couldn't do that kinda job. See, when they graduate - they're state certified AND they have their high school diploma. That's a sweet deal. They do a lot of hands on training as well as the normal cirriculum. So she graduated from that school last night and she has another graduation from her regular high school on the 28th I believe.

I watched CSI last night. It was the season finale. It was fantastic! I just hope Brass is ok! He opened his eyes! *Cheer* Tonight is the season finale of Numb3rs. That's a good show, too. The Closer is going to be coming back on in June! Yay! Man, the first week of June is going to be so horrible for me. Im already dreading it.

June 5th which is on a Monday, I have 2 finals. One in Public Speaking and one in Group Dynamics II. What sucks is I'll get finished with one final at like 3pm or so and the next class doesnt start til 4pm. The good news is, when I finish my final I can come home! *cheer*

June 6th is going to be great! It's the leadership award ceremony! That's all that I have to do on that day. TRIBE Officers are getting recognized as leaders! Yay!

On June 7th I have two more finals. One in Behavior Management II and one in Political Science. I am TERRIFIED of my political science final. If I can miss NO MORE CLASSES between now and June 7th - whatever my average is in the class, he raises it one whole letter grade. So let's say I make a C on my final. My average will be a C. He will raise it to an A b/c of my outstanding attendance. What incentive! The good news is, on June 7th, I dont have to be at school until 4pm. The bad news is, I'll be finished with my final at 4pm by like 5pm and i'll have two hours to kill. I guess that would be a fantastic time to study and maybe get a lil study group together. Some of the girls in behavior 2 are in political science with me.

On June 8th, I have nothing to do. I think that's the designated day that we, the graduating members of TRIBE/HST Program are going to decorate our caps for graduation. On June 9th at 7pm I will officially graduate with my 2 year degree. It isn't much, but it's something, yanno? Im going to be overly ecstatic when I get that bachelors degree next summer! Mahaha!

I literally have 5 days of classes left, and that's including the days of the finals. WOW! I had no idea it was that close! Sheesh! Im excited though. I have to give my speech on May 31st. This speech is worth DOUBLE the others. I have an A in public speaking as of right now. If I can make an A on this last speech, an A on my outline, and an A on my final, I'll be good to go. That sounds like a lot of pressure but it isnt.

Welp, Im gonna stop here for the day. Im just rambling. Im gonna go fix me some lunch, get the laundry outta the dryer and hang it up, do the last load of laundry, watch Ellen [it's her momma's birthday today], and just take it easy. Im gonna work on my outline throughout the night. My goal for the day: Have my outline completed before bedtime. Monday I am going to go pay for my cap and gown and Im also going to be mailing in my guest list - so if any of ya'll wanna fly in to watch me graduate, let me know now so I can add you! Mahahaha!

Better

Mood: Lots Better
Listening to: Ellen Degeneres Show. It's her 500th Show! Im so proud!

Im getting dressed to go to Jamie Lee's graduation, but I just wanted you guys to know that Im doing a lot better. Thank you guys for your comments. The headache is coming from the massive, ginormous thunderstorms coming through.  My head still hurts, but I've always gotten migranes when we have severe thunderstorms. My tire is fixed and all is well. I just had to vent.  I appreciate you guys listening to me and giving me feedback. It helps me not feel so insane  and unjustified  at times.

Im still upset about my friend not giving me a ride. That was kinda shady, considering everything I've done for her. I was holding a meeting for our club to discuss all kindsa important things and this is the ONE meeting I HAD to attend. I normally lead the meetings for my club, too. I think I was so upset because it hurt. I need to stop expecting my friends to help me just because they're my friends. I do it for them sure, but I can't just expect them to do it for me. That's not fair to myself OR to my friends. I need to fix that. Anyway, Im sure she had her reasons, though. All is well, like I said. The meeting, I postponed it. The electricity keeps flicking off and on so Im gonna go ahead and stop here. Tomorrow I'm going to go to the library and do some reasearch and get my outline done then Im going to enjoy the rest of my weekend. You guys will get an update tomorrow.

Mrs. Aly - thank you. :) You have such a gentle soul about you. Tchocky - You're like one of my girlfriends! I wish you lived so much closer. I hope the rest of you have a decent Thursday. I'll update after the graduation OR tomorrow. Depends on what Steve and I do a lil later.

Today is CRAP!

Mood: Mad!
Listening to: The Pounding Inside MY HEAD!

ok, today is absolutely horrible...and it all started last night!

I get home at 10pm with a THUMPING headache. I hadn't eaten anything but 2 waffles since noon. That could've been part of the headache reasoning or whatever. See if I schedule my classes BACK TO BACK again. I DONT THINK SO! So, I get home and then I have to muscle the energy to fix me something to eat. I do that. Head. Still. Thumping.

Around 10:30 or so Steve and I get in a huge fight. That was nice. Just added to my day. I had a *HORRIBLE* day yesterday. Ugh. So, then I watched some TV until midnight. That's when Ghost Hunters [T.A.P.S. on Sci-Fi] came on. I watched that then got scared, so I watched Carson. Then, I fell asleep. My head was still hurting.

I didn't sleep well at all cause my head hurt so bad I kept waking up. That sucks so bad. When I finally woke up, it was to my phone ringing. It rang all. freaking. morning. So, I finally just got up. Steve got up and decided that instead of me cooking, since I feel awful, he was going to go get us lunch. Yay! Finally - something great! Well, there is a HOLE IN MY FRONT TIRE! Oh man was I mad. So, then we argue. I had a meeting at 2:30, too! So, I called one of my friends to see if she could come and get me and I got a flat answer of, 'Nope.' That's it. Just nope. SO FANFRICKINTASTIC!

I made a decision to postpone the meeting until next week. On top of all of this, Steve finally found a jack and he's trying to put the little retarded tire on my car...in gravels...and I hear a crash. The car fell off of the jack! I look out there and he's holding the front end of the car up in the air while scooting the old tire under the car so that he can get the jack and put it back up on it. That's when I freak out. I go running out there and he's already got it fixed. He was pretty mad though, so I came back inside.

I start calling the members of TRIBE to tell them the meeting is postponed and that's taken care of. Tonight Steve's sister is graduating. She has two graduation ceremonies. One is tonight. The night of the season finale of CSI. My head is STILL thumping. This is going to be a GREAT evening. UGH! Steve just left to go get a new tire on the front of my car and I need to shower, find something to wear tonight and alla that other crap. Tomorrow I will be spending the ENTIRE day working on my outline for my speech that is due on Monday.

*deep breath*

Two entries in one day!? Wha?!

Mood: Angry at American Idol..so very angry.
Listening to: Chris Daughtry sing "Wanted: Dead or Alive" ACOUSTIC style. Bet the other american idol finalists can't play the guitar AND sing acoustic all the while keeping on tune! *angry face*

So the main reason Im doing another entry for today is to show you guys that picture up there. I just love it. I wish it were on a black background. I might have to tweak it a little. Would be nice to put up somewhere here on my blog. Very inspiring.

Tonight American Idol comes on. Now, if you guys have read and kept up with my blog recently, you'll know that I'm a die hard Chris Daughtry fan. Since last week when he got voted off , I've seen him on Regis and Kelly, TRL, and today I watched him sing -- acoustic -- on Ellen. I sincerely love the sound of his voice. I also think he's quite the lil hottie! His wife is oh so lucky. He's so faithful to her and loves her so much. He talks about her without hesitation. I love it. Why am I talking about American Idol? Well, it comes on tonight...in about an hour. Im not excited to see it, at all. Ugh. I'll still watch it because Steve likes Taylor. He says he sounds like Stevie Ray Vaughn, and he's right. He does. Oh well.

Today I've basically done nothing. I've not cleaned, I've not cooked. Nothing. Im going to pop a frozen Thombstone Pizza in the oven for supper and that's gonna be that.  I have two, yes - TWO, loads of laundry to do. That's it. One is towels and one is whites. I bleach my whites, like everytime I wash whites. Do ya'll? Am I insane? Probably. Oh Well!

Ok, so I'll stop now. This is basically just a blah entry because I'm bored. Im going to watch the season finale of House tonight, too. After that, my evening's pretty much over. Mahahah! Sad, right? Tomorrow is going to be soo very busy. I've got to go talk to my academic advisor about my fall schedule, I've got to ask about graduation caps for TRIBE, I've got to go to class at 2pm, I have another class at 4pm, I have a meeting at 4:30pm, then I have class from 7pm - 9:30ish pm. Sometimes it'll go over 9:30 - 10. After that, Im going to be spending my Thursday at the library getting my outline done for my last speech. It's due on Monday. I don't have to deliver my speech until May 31st. *cheer*

I literally have 3 weeks of school left.  On June 5th I have 2 finals, June 6th I have to attend a leadership award ceremony at 7pm, June 7th I have 2 finals, June 9th I have graduation, June 19th Summer classes start and on July 10th I'm going to Myrtle Beach. So there you have it! I found a lil icon that reminded me of tchocky. Im gonna post it on your blog, tchock. Mahah! It's so cute!

Alright, time for me to go find something to do. Maybe put a load of laundry in the washer. I  probably won't be updating til Thursday or Friday so you got a treat ... two entries in one day! Crazy, I know! I have done ONE thing today. I've helped a friend of mine plan her wedding. She decided she's getting married on July 4th so I've spent the day helping her call places and things like that. So I haven't been completely worthless today.

Dear Graduate

Mood: Waking Up
Listening to: NFL Madden... Steve's playing a video game.

Hey guys! How has your week been going so far? I know it's only Tuesday, but the last time I updated was Thursday. Sheesh! Im slacking, I know! I remember the days when I'd update daily. Mayhaps I need to start doing that again. We'll see. My weekend was alright. I'll bring ya'll up to date real quick. This won't take long at all.

On Thursday I spent the day with my grandparents.  I got there around 11am and just kinda chilled for a bit. Pawpaw went and got us all some Taco Bell for lunch. The woman gave him the wrong burrito, so he went back over and got the right one he wanted.  Oh, but he was heated. It was so cute to see him so upset. He got back, we all ate, and everything was fine. When we got finished eating, there was a box on the porch. It was for mawmaw. I had ordered her and my mother mother's day flowers from www.flowers.com the week before.

Mawmaw was so excited. She asked pawpaw to cut open the box and he didnt cut a certain piece so she said, 'Hurr up! Im excited!' it was so cute. So, she finally opened the box. I got her a handblown, handpainted glass vase with a preserved yellow daisy. She was more ecstatic about the daisy than the vase! It was so cute. She kept messing with it, smelling it, telling everyone to look at it cause it was so pretty - stuff like that. I was really glad she liked it. I *love* making my grandparents happy. There's nothing better than watching them smile and be happy because of something you've done for them. It's a genuine happiness, yanno? After we got done with the flower, I cut her hair. By this time it's almost 3pm and Steve called me. We had to run and get his mother her mother's day gift that she called and requested... tanning sessions.

So, after I cut mawmaw's hair and chilled with them a bit, I left. I came home and got Steve then we headed to the place that was requested to get tanning sessions. Well, they said you couldn't purchase them until Friday if you wanted the mother's day special. So, we had to go to his parents house and hand her the cash. Do I think she used the cash on tanning sessions? Nope. Oh well, though, right? Kinda sucks when people call and say, "buy me this for this occassion." That makes me mad. I guess I'll just chalk it up to... 'that's how they are' and 'i'll learn to deal with it, eventually.'

Steve and I came on home on Thursday after leaving his parents house. I watched the new episode of CSI and it was fantastic! I can't wait to see the second part of it this thursday, although I seriously hate when they have their season finales cause that's one of my favoritest shows. Ever. When it went off, we just kinda hung out for the rest of the night. Nothing really major happened.

Friday was Steve's birthday.  I spent the entire day cleaning. I cleaned everthang in this house. Sheesh. I still have a couple loads of laundry to do, but I just have made up my mind that there will always be at least one load of laundry to do, always. Around 7pm Steve and I got ready and we went to the Snak Shak to have some supper. When we left there, we went to TCBY where Cory works and got an ice cream. We told Cory we were going to go see Scary Movie 4 and asked if he wanted to join us. Naturally, he did, cause he loves those types of movies, so we came back home and got my cell phone. Then, Steve and I headed over to the movie place and got the tickets. We went ahead and got Corys ticket cause he didnt get off until 9pm and the movie started at 9:20pm.

Well, 9pm rolled around and Cory was on his way. Steve sent me into the theater to get the seats, so I did. Bout 5 minutes later in walked Steve and Cory. They had missed the first 3 or so minutes of the movie that were absolutely hilarious.  They got there a few minutes before Dr. Phil cut off his foot. Mahahaha! The movie was absolutely hilarious. If any of you like the parody type of movies, this is hilarious. They parody Saw, The Village, The Grudge, and War of the Worlds. Maybe another, but I can't think of it right now. Cracked. Me. Up. After the movie, we just came on home and I went to bed about an hour later.

Saturday I didn't wake up until almost 1pm in the afternoon!  I guess I needed to sleep. Sheesh. It felt nice, too. I did have a headache the entire day though. It wasn't like a migrane or antyhing [i do get those, though], but it was more like a nagging little headache. I think it was cause of the weather. It was raining off and on and when it does that, I guess the pressure or whatever gets to me. I just piddled around the house for the most part on Saturday. Consisted of spending the day with Steve and just vegging.  I loved it! Around 5pm Steve and I got dressed cause my momma and step daddy took us out to dinner for Steve's birthday.  My Uncle, Caitlin and Cory joined us. We had a great time. I *love* doing stuff like that. With my family, you never know what we're going to discuss at the dinner table... no matter if we're in public or not! Mahahaha! The waitresses sang happy birthday to Steve and Cory and momma missed it! Mahahaha! After we all ate, Cory came back to the house for a bit. Steve, Cory and I watched my favorite movie; Austin Powers: Goldmember!

Sunday was a blah day here at my house. I got a card from Otis and Momma that said "Happy Mother's Day" and on the inside it says "Happy Mother's Day from Your Cat" and momma had marked out 'your cat' and put ' Otis '. She also had the words "meow" written and then 'translated' into 'human speak'. It was so thoughtful. Made me cry! It was the cutest thing I've ever seen! So, I called her and thanked her. I didnt do anything of importance on Sunday. Just hung out here at the house. I didn't feel good at all on Sunday. My head was thumpin so bad. Stupid headaches. Steve and I, around 9m or so, went grocery shopping. We like to go when there's hardly no one at the store and when theyre stocking the shelves. We know we get fresh stuff! A hundred and fifty dollars and an hour later, we were on our way home. Came home and put up all of the groceries. I didnt go to bed til about 1:30 or 2am on Sunday night.

Monday I went to class. Got my grade back on my speech... 43/50 points. I guess that's not too bad. In public speaking, we had to give impromptu speeches.  We all picked a topic out of a hat and had to give a little speech on it on the spot. It was ... interesting. We all were cracking up at each other. Mine was on Snail Mail or Email. You had to pick which one you liked better and then tell the class why. I picked email because it's quick, easy, and lets me keep in contact with people I love. I talked about Jackie, Sissa, Angel, Mey, Tchocky, Mist, Sapphire, and Aly. I told them about how I blog and email is how we keep in touch with each other. Without email, there would be no snail mail with me and you guys. :) See?! I think about you guys all the time!

After public speaking, I had my group II class. It was fun. That class always is. More laid back than the other classes. There weren't many of us in there. Angie wasn't in class. She called me at midnight last night, but I was so tired I couldn't answer the phone. I hope she's ok.  Im going to call her about 9 or so. I went to bed soo early last night that I got up around 6am today! Sheesh! I came home from class last night and Steve and I made supper. We ate, I cleaned the kitchen and put away the food. At 8pm I crawl into bed and Steve and I are all ready to watch Deal or No Deal. We turn it on and BAM there's George Dubya Boosh.  Mahahaha! He was talkin about the borders or whatever. I didnt listen to him, to be honest. I watched Court TV. It was much more interesting. They had a SWAT team on there bustin down doors and catchin drug dealers! I love when they say, "STOP RESISTING!!!" Mahahah! It cracks me up. Even when I watch Cops! Mahaha! Anyway - around 8:30 or so Deal or No Deal came on and I watched it. Then, bout 9:30 or so I went to sleep.

That was basically my weekend. I know, I know, nothing real exciting. This week should be a bit more exciting. Im trying to take on another chair position in another club. Im in the psychology club and have applied for the chair that is open: Secretary position. Im also going to find out, somehow, what other clubs there are on campus. I think there is a communications club and I'd like to get involved with that. The more clubs Im in the more I love it! I'm in three right now: Relay for Life, TRIBE, and ACTION [the psychology club]. OH! I got the letter in the mail yesterday that was asking how many guests I was going to have at graduation! Mahaha! What I loved the most is that the letter was headed: Dear Graduate! OH YEAH *happy dance* I loved that up.

Alrighty, Im gonna stop here. Im tired of typing and I think Im going to eat me some breakfast then lay down and do absolutely nothing for one whole day. My house is clean. I have no homework. Nothing to work on for any clubs.  I know, I know! It's shocking to me too! I'll end up cleaning something today, Im sure of it. I hope ya'll have a great day! I'll be updating on Thursday. Yes, Im going to watch American Idol tonight because Steve and my grandmother asked me to and asked me to vote for Taylor. Am I still mad at them for letting Chris go? YES. But you know what? The band, Fuel, has asked him to be their lead singer! THAT is amazing. I LOVE it. He can't do anything right now cause he's under contract w/American Idol to do the tour and stuff, but after that... I sure hope he takes that deal. I can't WAIT for his CD to come out. I think he's gonna be big. I know I'll buy his CD.

"... he vibrates his entire head to make it sound like he's on key..."

Mood: Happy!!
Listening to: Train whistling as it is going by.

Hey guys! I hope your weeks are going well. Ive been doing fantastic about keeping up with each of you that update and leaving comments, just not doin so well as to keeping my own blog up! Sorry bout that! This past week has been kinda crazy at times, but it's Thursday and that's a great thing. I'll tell you why in a bit. First, I wanna get into my week and fill ya'll in. Ready? Here we go!

So, Monday was a busy day for me! I got up around 10am and had to run a bagillion different places. I had to give my informative speech at 2pm. So, I went to Wal*Mart and got my posterboard and my dvd-R. That's right, she's videotaping our last two speeches on a dvd and we have to watch them then critique ourselves.  So, I go in walmart and can't find this and can't find that. My nerves are already workin on me and the last thing I need is some retarded million old walmart worker to look at me like I have 14 heads when I ask where the DVDR thingies are. So, after frantically running around everywhere in the electronics section, I find them over by the phones. Yes, the telephones. WHY were they there? No idea. But they were. So, half an hour later, Im checking out. I go out to my car and race to the school.

When I get to school, I go straight up to my step-dad's office so I can print off these bagillion pages for free [ in the computer lab they cost 5 cents a page]. I seriously need to get my printer here at home workin. Well, he wasn't there. Baz was there [his intern and steve's friend of a bagillion years] so he helped me. I spent an hour typing everything out, finding the pictures for my visual aid and alla that crap. I printed it all out and put my poster board together. It was simple and thats the way I wanted it. When I finished doing all of that it was 1pm. My class starts at 2pm. I still had to practice my speech and write out my notecards.  So, I go down to the table where I had people set up selling the T-Shirts from the walk - a - thon we had left over. Im writing frantically and then the electronic media guy wants to take my picture for the school website/calendar thingy.  ugh! So, I take my hair down and make it look like I'm selling a T-Shirt.

I go in to class at 2pm and the person that was supposed to go first didn't show up for class. So, I volunteered to go first. I did fine on my speech. It was supposed to be 5 - 7 minutes and I think mine was a lil over 8 minutes. Im gonna get deducted hardcore for that. Other than that, I think I did a great job. So, that class was over at 3:50pm and I have another class at 4pm. Because I had forgotten to type my paper for my 4pm class, I ran up to the computer lab and did my paper real quick. When I got there I found Angie, Jimella and a few others from class doing their papers! Mahahaha! So, they waited on me and we all went down to class together. We got there at like 4:15 or so. In that class, we got our midterms back. I made a perfect on it. *cheer* That's about it for my Monday.

Tuesday was a kinda busy-ish day for me. I don't have classes on Tuesday at all, but I was at the school all day. I was selling T-Shirts from 10am - 3pm. Well, we had sold them all by 2pm. One bad thing did happen to me. My *favorite* AC/DC Back in Black flip flops BROKE!  Ugh. So instead of walking around with a broken flip flop, I just took em off. Then, I borrowed Amanda's shoes and I went and tried to get my club set up on the internet and stuff. Thankfully she was there to let me borrow her shoes. That was awful. Oh well, crap happens. I just hate that my favorite flip flops broke. Those are the ones I wore at the beach at night when the waves would come up over my feet.  Me and those flip flops had some great times together. R.I.P. Flip Flops - 03/08/06 - 05/10/06.

I came home on Tuesday and slept for a bit. I had every intention of cleaning this house, though. Then, around 7:30pm I got up and went to my grandparents. Momma had bought some T-Shirts and I was takin em to her. I stayed there and watched American Idol with them. We're gonna discuss American Idol in a bit. I'm so mad at them right now. I left there around 9pm and went to Taco Bell, then I came home. I watched Ghost Hunters [ T.A.P.S.] and it scared the crap outta me. Then I watched some Conan and went to bed. I love Conan.

Wednesday I got up and went to the school to print out ANOTHER paper for public speaking. I had to watch that DVD of myself and then write a one page paper critiquing myself. It was due yesterday. So, I did that as well as the paper that is due for Monday's class.  Im ahead of the game right now! I also helped a few students who were giving their speech on Wednesday. One woman was so nervous and her visual aid wasn't finished so I helped her finish it and I checked her outline. She had some mistakes so I went in the computer lab and fixed them for her so she'd get a good grade on her outline. I also helped another girl and let her practice her speech on me.  Then, I went down to class. Public Speaking was mainly just listening to speeches.

After class, I found out that my 4pm class was cancelled. On Wednesdays I have class 2pm - 4pm [public speaking]; 4pm - 7pm [behavior management 2]; and 7pm - 10:30pm [political science 102]. Well, my 4pm - 7pm class was cancelled but I had class again at 7pm. So, I just came home. That's 3 hours! I came home and ate some supper. Steve was here. The school told him that because he can't get his running for the physical assessment down 2 minutes, that there's no need for him to complete the course. They told him that he wouldn't get a diploma or anything and its basically just wasting his time and gas money to drive all the way there and back. They did, however, tell him to come back next year and work on his running. So, when I got home around 4:30, he practically walked in behind me. He had tears in his eyes and I could tell he had been cryin.  He told me what happened. His birthday is May 12th [friday]. He just was really upset. So I talked to him about it for a bit and ate a little something. He told me that he wanted to cook dinner so just not eat too much. I went back to class and I called him on break to make sure he was ok. He was cooking. Cooking relaxes him.

I got my midterm back in political science class. I made a C. Now, I know that sounds awful, but if ya'll knew the struggle I had in high school with government, civics, history, etc. you'd be dancing on air right now like I am! I didnt expect a C, to be honest! There were 15 True or False. I seriously hate True / False questions. Why? because you have a 50 - 50 shot and frankly im constantly second guessing myself on those. So, I missed like 5 of those. The multiple choice questions were fine, but they were tricksy. I guess that's what you get for having a prosecuting attorney for your professor. Like on one question, ONE WORD made the difference between two answers. The word was "State". That was so annoying. See? Thats why I hate government classes and crap! So picky! The good news about this class is, if I make a C or higher on my Final exam, then he will average the two grades. If I can come out with a C in the class, he will raise it one complete letter grade, to a B, if I do not miss any classes. So, my butt will be parked in that chair at 7pm on Wednesday nights for the next 3 - 4 weeks. I assure you of that.

Around 9:30pm I got a phone call from my grandparents and then a phone call from steve. They were like back to back. of course my phone was on silent because I was still in class. So after class I called Steve. Het old me some not so great news. Chris Daughtry, my FAVORITE on American Idol, was voted off. That really sucks. Let me get into why Im really upset with american idol right now. They've made a ginormous mistake. Although, Chris will  get a record deal and sell MORE THAN whomever wins this stupid game.

Here's what Im seeing now on American Idol. They've got Elliot whatshisface on there that vibrates his entire head to make it sound like he's on key when he's holding out those long notes.  Because he's on an insulin drip and has 'never had singing lessons ever' he's getting the sympathy voteThen there's good ol Katheryn, or however she spells her jacked up name, who crawls around on the floor and flashes her cleavage to everyone to get the votes from the guys. She also wears dresses that are so tight that when she steps the crotch button flies off. So she's getting the sex vote Then there's Taylor. Now, I will admit I do like Taylor. He has that Otis Redding voice and I sure do love me some Otis Redding. What I will say about Taylor is that he needs to stop playing the 'im gonna dance around and entertain and make you love it thats why youre going to vote for me' thing and really sing. When he stops and really sings and gets into it, he's great. He doesnt need to have seizures on stage.  So he's getting the vote from the people that laugh at him.

Then there *was* Chris. Chris was the real entertainer. He was confident not only in his singing abilities but in his stage performance. He was able to just stand there and sing as well as move around. He sang the most amazing songs and his voice is so unique. I could listen to him sing the phone book. He's got the 'it' factor that the others don't have. He's the unique one. He's the one that REFUSED to change because that's what the show wanted. He kept his rock roots, but was able to give American Idol what they wanted. I think that is a true professional. He deserved to win.  That's that. Hands down. I only voted for him 10 times Tuesday night so I have a right to complain, according to Ryan Seacrest. Mahahaha! Seriously though - this guy is great. He's an amazing preformer, he's got an amazing vocal range, he sings on KEY and on PITCH [which I can't say for elliot or katheryn], and he's so very hot!  Mahaha! Ok, Im done complaining about that!

So that was my lil rant on American Idol.  I don't care if you like it or not. After alla that last night, I watched the new episode of Ghost Hunters [T.A.P.S.] it comes on Sci-Fi here. It came on at 12:30am. I watched that for an hour then I watched the last half of Conan and went to sleep. See a pattern with me?  You should! Tonight is the new episode and part 1 of the finale of CSI.  That sucks that its the finale. I would love to own, on DVD, every season of CSI, T.A.P.S., and House. I could watch them a hundred times over. Im still into SVU and Criminal Intent, but they're on constantly here so I watch em over and over. I just thought of something. You know what I hate?! When I'm typing really fast and instead of typing the word, 'and' i type 'nad'. Cause that's one typo you gotta go back and fix, if not, it makes you look like a perv.

Hmm, what else. Oh, today is Thursday. Im gonna spend the day with my grandparents. Im gonna cut my mawmaw's hair, too. She has a present coming but has no idea what it is.  Mother's day is this weekend and I got her a lil sumpin' sumpin'. She deserves it. Momma's gift is being delivered to her work tomorrow. I hope she likes em! Well, that's about all of the updating-ness I can handle for one day. I'll probably update tomorrow because I know the CSI episode tonight is gonna be SO worth writing about. Ok, I sounded a bit valley-girl-ish I know. Leamme alone!

Otis is home!

Mood: Happy Otis is finally home!
Listening to: Ironman by Ozzy

Otis is home. That's right. I slept *so* great last night, too! Ok, so my yesterday was awful for the first part of the day. This isnt going to be long, as I have some errands to run and it's already 3:30 in the afternoon. I've spent the entire day pampering to Otis. He has me wrapped around his little paw. Ok, onto my yesterday.

So I got up at 7am. I had class at 8am. I rushed out the door and forgot EVERYTHING! I got about halfway there, had to turn around, come back home and get everything I forgot. By now, my gas light is on. So, I stop and get gas. Because of all this, Im running late. I literally RUN inside the building to find the class doesnt start til 8:30 am. Ah yes, the ol 'shel has no idea what time her class starts so she assumes 8am so that shes rushing and has a horrible morning' thing again. So, now I have half an hour to spare. What do I do with my time? NOTHING! I stand there, half asleep, half awake and wait. My professor comes and I explain to her that I didn't have to have this class to graduate because I changed my degree. I asked her if I could leave at noon instead of 5pm and she said that would be fine. So there's one positive.

The class was a one day class that is adult, child and infant CPR training. We had to practice on these dummies and she said i was pressing too hard that I would be snappin ribs. Ugh. So, I finally got it after she embarrassed me infront of the class, twice. No idea why I got embarrassed, either. I guess cause she was saying, 'glad thats not me! my poor wittle wibs!' She was joking and trying to be funny, but dang. I had a bad morning and wasn't in a joking mood! So finally 11:00 am rolls around and I called momma. I just needed a familiar voice. So, I talked to her for a bit and things got a lil better. I went back in and told my professor I was leaving. She said it was fine. So, I left. I don't care, either!  I didn't wanna be there anymore!

At 11:30am, I was standing in Otis' doctors office waiting on them to bring him to me. He had his front two feet declawed and he got fixed. He's doin fantastic, too! All of the nurses fell in love with him. When she brought him in she said, 'We know that he gets a lot of attention at home!' I then concurred that he does. She said that he has been snuggling up to all of the nurses and they've all just fell in love with him. I then explained how I missed him and they couldn't keep him! It was really cute. He was lying on the table rolling around and playing while they were explaining his medicine to me. The only thing he's not happy with is that we have to use shredded paper instead of litter for 6 more days. He goes to his litter box and just screams. So, I go in there and he's just standing in it looking at me. I know he hates it, but I've got to do that so the litter doesn't get inside his fingers and cause an infection. She said within 5 - 7 days it should be fine. Because he's young, he's healing fast. Other than that, he's doing great. He's eating like a horse, runnin and playin. I couldn't be happier that he's home!

Steve and I also got a super nice treadmill. It counts the steps you take, the calories you burn, it has an incline, the works. It even has a workout fan in the console of it! So, Im setting myself up on a walking plan starting monday. I also am going back to the gym. This way, I can go to the gym three times a week and walk on the treadmill one mile at a time four times a week. Im not doing it to lose weight, to be honest. Im happy with me, the way I am, the way I look. I have great self-confidence and self-esteem. I just am going to do it cause it makes me feel better. I have more energy. I know that I love the winter, the snow, the cold, etc. but I seriously think that in the summer time I have more energy and just feel better. I dont know. Steve and I are thinking of moving to somewhere near the ocean cause it just relaxes me. The wind blows, the sound of the ocean just overtakes everything else, and frankly, there's no smell like the smell of the ocean. So we'll see. We may just stay here and buy a vacation home on the ocean! There's an idea! lol!

I don't know if I've told ya'll or not, but I have 13 more classes until I graduate with my 4 year degree. That's about a year. Im gonna try to squash it all in and get graduated asap! I want to work! I want to make money! I know that's something Im going to be doing for hte rest of my life, but I have all kindsa ideas and dreams and the first goal to reach any of those is graduating. I'll be doing two graduations. One for my two year and one for my four year. So, If you ask me what I want for graduation [dear family of mine], I want you all to go in together and buy me and Steve a cruise for one week! It can be to anywhere! I don't care. Alaska, Bahamas, Jamaica, I don't care! I just want to go on a cruise!

Alright, Otis is meowing for me. I've spent all day with him, just snuggling and lovin. He's on 'feline form of morphine' as his nurse said, and I just gave him his dose. He's ready to sleep. Today all I have planned is laundry, taking the movies back to blockbuster, mailing off netflix movies and dishes. Tomorrow Im going to work on my visual aid [which will take a whole 15 minutes total] and practice my speech a couple of times. I've got to get up to the school around noon tomorrow to print out my outline for my speech. Im gonna go ahead and eat lunch at school cause you can get a bottle of pepsi [or whatever else you choose], 2 hotdogs with sauce, and a plate of chips for two dollars and seventy five cents! I love it! It's cheaper than a gallon of gas! MAhahahaha! Mkay, time to get started on my day, even though it's almost 4pm! mahahah! shows ya'll what i've done today!

Class on a Saturday...ugh.

Mood: Doin fine. Missin Otis so very bad though. =[
Listening to: She's My Kinda Rain by Tim McGraw. Steve is singing it to me. He's tryin to be sweet cause a while back when it came out, he dedicated it to me. I got mad at him earlier and hes tryin to make me smile and be nice. He doesnt realize that Im really not mad

Yeah, you read the title right. Class on a Saturday. That's Ok, though! It's only ONE time so I guess I can deal. It's 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. I'm getting certified in First Aid as well as infant, child, and adult CPR. Im getting  A LOT outta that class. It's a national certification! That makes two certifications I've gotten this year! Wahoo! Im *so* going to take a picture of my CDCA Certification and show ya'll. Im so proud. I finally got the actual certificate from the State of Ohio in the mail a coupla weeks ago. It's exciting! OH! Today is my Grandparents anniversary! They've been married almost 60 years now! I KNOW!!!! That's what I was thinking, too!

So, on July 10th - July 14th my momma, Steve, Cory and myself will be at Myrtle Beach.  I have tickets for me and momma to go on a casino cruise. We're going to go during the day. It's got a buffet that's out the entire time and everything on the ship is free, except extra chips for the casino. They give us forty dollars worth of chips when we get on, though! We're doing the day cruise [10 am - 4:15pm] so we can go on the deck and do the dolphin watching part of it. My momma *loves* dolphins and this will be the first time she's ever seen one! I really hope a bagillion of them jump along the side of the boat for her. Infact, I hope one jumps up and lands right in her arms! Im going to get a couple of water proof cameras as well as normal cameras so that we can take some pictures. I'm so excited for her.

I don't really have much to say. Mahahha! Today was kinda blah. Oh! Thursday Otis went to the vet to get fixed and his front two feet declawed. I went today to pay for it, as I'll be in class all day tomorrow so Steve is going to have to go get him. Im so homesick to see him it's unreal.  I could hardly sleep last night. I kept wondering if he was in pain, if he missed us, I missed playing with him - ok it's about to make me cry. Isn't that insane?! Got that attached to him since the end of February. Sheesh! When I went to pay, I kept asking if I could see him. She said that if *he* saw *me* he would get upset cause he couldn't get to me, but she let me peek around the corner and through the door at him. Love his lil heart. He was in the cage just lying there with this look in his eyes like he was going to murder the next person to walk through the door. I just wanted to snatch him up and take him home, but I couldn't. They keep them for 2 days after surgery. Steve will be here with him tomorrow for a bit after he picks him up at noon. Poor lil guy. He got so much done. Got his boosters up to date, his front two feet declawed, got fixed, he had a tapeworm  and they got that fixed...just so much. She said that tapeworm was from fleas, but he's never had fleas here. I bathe him once a week in flea and tick stuff and he's *never* outside. I found out today from Melanie that Otis' momma had fleas real bad and that she might've had a tapeworm when she was feedin her babies. Ugh. Those things are nasty. NaaaasssTaay!

See, tomorrow is Steve's baby sister's prom. This is her senior prom. She didn't go to her junior prom. For this year, she's had to buy everything herself. Everything. Her dress, her hair appointment, her nails, her tanning sessions, her makeup, her jewelry, everything. She's got a baby blue dress...so beautiful. Im going to try to get outta class around 4pm so I can see her. If I can't, I'll still get to see her. The grand march isn't until 6pm so I *know* I'll see her then.  Gonna get a camera and take lots of pictures. Note to self: Get a camera tomorrow. Mahahah! I guess I can run and do that on our lunch break in class. We normally get an hour for lunch when we have all day classes. Who knows though. So anyway - we'll be going to his parents house for a bit then to grand march so Otis will be here alone.  I think that would be good for him though. He'll sleep and that's whats important.

Well, I guess I had more to talk about than I thought. I've just realized that I can ramble on about absolutely nothing for hours and hours. Being that I realize this now, Im going to stop! Mahah! I hope ya'll are having a nice weekend. The weather is GREAT here. It's been in the mid to upper 70's today. Hopefully it stays like that for tomorrow at least! I remember those rainy prom days. It sucks. You spend a bagillion dollars to get your hair done, spend HOURS on your makeup only to get in the rain and it all smears and goes flat. That's about the time I'd go to the bathroom, wash my face completely [cause I do not normally wear makeup. Ever. I've worn it 3 times in my life. 2 proms and my wedding. my wedding I wore loose powder and lipstick. Mahahah!] and take my hair completely down and put it in a pony tail [which is how it is normally about 85% of the time]. See? I babbled again! Mahahah! Enjoy your weekend guys! I'll be updating this weekend!

No, No Drama - You Don't Want No Drama

Mood: Energetic and Happy
Listening to: Steve is watching a movie on TV. These two men are fighitng so Im hearing punching, grunting, slapping, breaking, screaming, yelling and gunshots!

Alright then. First of all let me apologize for the lack of a real update. I know it's been awhile and you guys have been so supportive and so patient with me. I really appreciate it. A lot has happened in the past two weeks so instead of giving ya'll every little detail, I'm going to hit the highlights, both good and bad. I do want to say that I finally, right at this very second, can say that I have nowhere I have to be or nothing I have to do right now. That's such a good feeling! Although at 2:30 this afternoon, I do have a meeting. So, get you a cup of your favorite drink, cause this entry is gonna be quite long!

Last week I spent the week getting everything prepared for the walk - a - thon. I had T-Shirts made on Monday. Monday night there was a bit of turmoil on Monday night in two separate parts of the night! The first part was after our Monday night class. We had a 'mini' TRIBE meeting just to get everyone on the same page. I had been out of town the week before and things went haywire. So, Monday night it was resolved. I then come home and make a phone call to a woman whose husband owns a company and asked if she was going to be able to have the quilt she was making ready to be donated at the walk - a - thon. You see, businesses get their name on the back of the T-Shirts if they donate three hundred dollars or more.

This company was promised their name on the back if they made a quilt and set up a table. So, I called her and told her everything that had been going on with the walk - a- thon. I then asked her if she had the quilt done and she didn't. She did throw a fit because I told her that her name wasn't on the back of the T-Shirt. I gave her husband, the business owner, the same letter I gave everyone else that clearly states all donations of three hundred dollars or more need to turned in by 4 - 20 - 06. Well, this was past the 20th. So, she then tells me (and I quote), "You better get our name on the back of the T-Shirt. You have a job riding on this." So instead of going off on her like I wanted to, I told her I would do what I can. I then emailed the director of the club and told her what had happened. She said she would handle it and she did. Their name is on the back of the shirt.

Academically on Monday I had a midterm in public speaking. The following Wednesday I had a midterm in Behavior Management II. On the Public Speaking midterm I made a 93% [A-] and on the Behavior Management midterm I made a 104/105 [A]. So, it's nice to know that in the midst of all of the 'drama' and the promoting of the walk - a- thon, Im able to keep up my grades.

On Thursday we had our TRIBE meeting. The meeting was inside for about 10 minutes to discuss what needed to be discussed for the walk - a- thon and then we went over to the track. We got it all figured out and made some phone calls. I felt very confident going into the walk - a- thon. So, Thursday I came home and just relaxed. On Friday I did a lot of running for the walk - a- thon. I went and got posters, markers, ribbon, etc. to make signs and things of that nature. Then, I went to Melanie's house to make the signs and stuff. I left there around 4pm to go pick up the T-Shirts at a local T-Shirt making place. They look awesome!

In the midst of making signs and running here and there, I'm on the phone with people because they're wanting to make donations. So, I was going to various companies picking up checks and donations. While I was at Melanie's house, I had Melanie call the woman of the business [that I was discussing up above] and ask her if the quilt was finished and if we could pick it up. It wasn't finished. Then Melanie asked her if she knew anywhere that was hiring and she told her no. Then the woman found out I was at Melanie's and asked to talk to me. I got on the phone and she offered me a job. That was so messed up. She said, and I quote, "Don't say anything outloud, but would you be willing to work for us this summer?" I just thought that was shady cause I was at Melanie's house, Melanie asked for a job while talking on her phone and then she offers me the job? Somethin dirty there. Anyway - we finished making the signs and I went and got the T-shirts.

Saturday morning I got woke up at 7:30am with a phone call from the woman of the business saying her sewing machine broke and she couldn't finish the quilt. Great. So, after all of that crap, she didn't get it done. She said, "I'll donate a couple bags of ice and I'll go buy a bike for the kids to win." I said, "I'll talk to my advisor." and I left it at that. So, she shows up at the walk - a- thon with a bike for a lil boy and some ice. I just thought that was crappy.

Anyway - on to the walk - a - thon. We raised one thousand dollars. It was a really good turn out. We had a lot of stuff to raffle off and that within itself made a chunk of change! There were a lot of volunteers that showed up and worked and that made a difference. I wished we woulda had more people show up, but we were competing against the March of Dimes walk, Walk for Autism, and another one that I can't remember now. So for my itty bitty hick town the thousand dollars was great!

I got home Saturday evening and I couldn't walk. I was sunburnt, my feet hurt and I was soo hot! I had tons of crap in my car to unload, but Steve did that for me. The NFL Draft was on so we watched that. After I was feeling a bit better, I got dressed and went to mommas. My uncle Michael and Caitlin showed up at the walk - a- thon around 12:30pm [it started at noon] and stayed for a bit. Then Steve's momma came and brought some people and they stayed for like 1.5 hours! When they left, my uncle, caitlin and momma came! So I had family there a lot of the time. It was great! Im really proud of the walk - a - thon. It was the first event TRIBE done and the first time we've ever tackled a walk - a- thon. So, it was great!

On Sunday I slept. I slept all day. I had a migrane and was just so blah feeling. Steve watched the last rounds of the NFL Draft. That was basically our day. On Monday I got up at 6:30am and had breakfast with Steve. Round 8 I took a lil nap and then by 9:30am I was at school doin some research for my informative speech. I thought I had all this crap that was due on Monday but it wasn't due until Wednesday. So I got up early for nothin. I took a midterm monday night in Group Dynamics II and I got a 100% on it [A]. So, I was really happy about that. I came home Monday night and cleaned.

Tuesday I woke up and my back and stomach were hurting so bad. Hurt me all day. Felt like I had an ulcer or something and the muscles in my back just flat out hurt. It was awful. Steve and I did so much and I didnt complain about my back or belly one time. Yes, that is a triumph for me because I'm a big sissy when my belly or back hurts. Let's see. We got up early and had Burger King for breakfast. Then we came back here and I went to vote. Around 11am Steve and I went to Wal*Mart and bought a treadmill. We brought it home and put it together. Two hours later, we plugged it in and it didn't work. The motor was dead.

So, I called Wal*Mart and they said to bring it back in. I had to bring all of the bags and the boxes, too. So, after Steve went off about the treadmill not working for a few minutes, we loaded it back up. I packed up all of the empty bags and boxes into trashbags and off we went. I was in charge of holding the bags and boxes down in the back of the truck. THAT was fun, lemme tell ya. lol!

We got to Wal*Mart and the customer service lady gets smart with me. I said, "we're returning a treadmill and I would appreciate it if you could call Mike from Sporting Goods up here as I've talked to him about 15 minutes ago." she said, "where is the treadmill?" i said, "in the back of hte truck." she said, "you'll have to bring it in." I said, "Thats why I need Mike." She looked at me over top of her glasses and siad, 'YOU will have to bring it in." So thats when I went off. I said, in teh most polite way I could've, "You WILL get on the phone and get Mike from Sporting Goods down here or I'll go get him myself and completely bypass you because you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Mike is the MANAGER of sporting goods and he's the one that Steve bought the treadmill from and i've spoken to him TWICE over this just within the past 30 minutes. NOW - get on your little phone and call MIKE or I'll have SOMEONE ELSE do it, Customer Service Manager Brenda." So, she did.

We unloaded the treadmill and exchanged it. The other one is still in the box in my kitchen. LOL! It'll get put together this weekend. I've *still* not joined the gym. You know what? Im going to do that today. Infact, when I get finished with this entry, Im going to go join the gym then go to the school for the TRIBE meeting. I think Im going to do a workout and tan. That means I need to take a shower and shave these legs. I've not shaved them in 2 days! 2 Whole Days! My momma knows how I am about shaving my legs. I shave them at least once a day in the summer time.

So yesterday was Wednesday. I told ya'll this would be long! Yesterday I had a political science midterm. I think I did OK, but I seriously hate history, government, etc. so who knows. Today I took Otis to the vet. He's getting his front feet declawed and he's getting fixed. He's also getting all of his vaccinations to bring him up-to-date. I also went ahead and paid for him to get the rest of his vaccinations up to 1 year old. He was born January 2nd, 2006. So he'll be there until Saturday. I pick him up Saturday afternoon. I didnt realize how much company he is! He went off on the nurse when she picked him up. He bit her wrist and he hissed at her. Mahahaha! He did NOT want to be there. He had to be there at 8am this morning.

The rest of my day is pretty much blah. I've got to call the school and get my graduation thingy straightened out. Then its off to the gym. After the gym I've got the TRIBE meeting. I should be home around 3:30 or so, then I have nothing to do. I guess I'll work on laundry. There's always laundry. Im gonna clean Charlie's cage, too. Other than that, I've got some free time. I don't know what to do with myself when I don't have to be working on something, be somewhere, etc. lol! I ordered momma and mawmaw's mothers day presents. They're gonna be delivered. Mawmaw's will be on May 11th and momma's is gonna be on May 12th. May 12th is also Steve's birthday. Im gonna bake him a cake.  Today, May 4th, is Angie's birthday. Ok - so that's that! Soon as I get some pictures from the walk - a - thon, I'll post them. I promise! Im gonna call Cary about those right now!

Busy Day

Mood: tired and not wanting to spend the day at the library.
Listening to: nothing, steve's still sleeping.

Hey guys! Today is going to be such a busy day for me. Im getting ready to go to the library where I will be from 10 AM - 2 PM. UGH! I've got to do a rough draft of an outline for my speech. Then, I've got to study for my midterm at 4pm. Good news? I'll be home by 5:30 PM. On Wednesday I'll be home early, too! I have a midterm in Political Science [which starts at 7pm], so I should be home before 9pm. It's just been crazy!

Last night Steve bought me an iPod! That was so sweet of him! So now I have something to listen to when I go to the gym! I'll be doing that on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Ok, that's really all I had to say. I've got to get dressed and get to the school library. I just wanted to do a quick little update. Im going to find out about the pictures from the Walk - a - Thon today so those might be posted wtihin the next couple of days. The online version of our local newspaper doesn't have anything posted yet, either, so when they do - I'll post the link.
