Restlessness for Home

We who are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened, not because we would be unclothed but , that mortality might be swallowed up by life.
2 Cor. 5:4, NKJV

Have you ever felt a bit guilty about that restlessness that stirs within from time to time? We are so blessed, we ought to be utterly content. Is there something wrong with us if we are failing to always experience full joy? Perhaps this restlessness is a little gift from home, keeping us from becoming comfortable with this temporary scene. One version of 2 Corinthians 5:3-5 reads: “The Spirit of God whets our appetite by giving us a taste of what’s ahead. He puts a little of heaven in our hearts so that we’ll never settle for less.”
--C. Cairns

Hark! Ten thousand harps and voices, sound the note of praise above;
Jesus reigns and heaven rejoices, Jesus reigns, the God of love. --T. Kelly
