For God's Glory
Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. John 11:21
For the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. John 11:4
Then many of the Jews…believed on Him. John 11:45
How often we cry out to God “why”! We know that He could have prevented the problem but He didn’t. We want relief from the pain. He wants His Son to be glorified. Was there not much more glory to the Lord Jesus from raising Lazarus from the dead than merely healing him from sickness? Likewise in our lives, the more impossible the situation becomes, the more God is glorified when He answers our prayers and it is resolved to His glory.

Finite my eyes; temporal my view; earthbound my gaze;
Yet faith trusts His word, sees His hand and gives Him praise.
