let's journey back into history. american's and african-american's seem to have forgotten the racism story. african-american's always use slavery against american's.i'm going to break it down in myth's. myth 1: white people supposedly sold black people to other white people to use as slaves and servants. no. black people down in africa captured other black people and sold them for money. if they could have captured some white people sure, they would have sold them. myth 2 : america had a right to use them as slaves because they are supposedly lower than us. no. we are all created equal in god's eyes. we had no right to use them or anybody as our slaves. just because their black and we're white doesn't make us higher than them. myth 3 : white man is always oppressing the black man. yes and no. for a while, yes. we did treat them badly because we were ignorant jerks. but, now, black man is starting to oppress the white man. chris rock can get up on stage and make fun of white people all day and he won't be taken of the stage because we white people can "laugh it off". if a white comedian started making fun of black people he'd be thrown off stage and banned from television because of racism. instead, white people do take into consideration the feelings of black people. it would be very hypocritical if we didn't and listened to rap music and watched music videos. myth 4 : black people never win awards because their black. no. jamie foxx won 4 oscars for he's outstanding work in "ray" (which is a very good movie, it made me cry), martin luther king won all kinds of awards, ray charles practcally owned jazz in the '50's, usher is always winning music awards. beyonce too. myth 5 : white man can't dance. yes and no. we can't dance very good to hip-hop but, we can waltz, tango, ballroom dance, folk dance and charleston. so, you can't say "white people have no rythm" we just don't have rythm in hip-hop dancing. myth 6 : black man can't sing they can only rap. no. lot's of black people sing. usher, john legend, ray charles, mariah carey, destiny's child. white people can rap too. we have eminem. in short, let's just all be nice to each other and not pull out the racism card everytime we feel "threatened". we are all created equal. we just all need to see that. we are different in personality and looks, but skin color shouldn't be judged. it's just a color. and, if you think you've been treated badly, i'll just get started on the mexican's. they've been through ALOT in the '30's. have an awesome day. just thought i should point that out before anything else happens.
