paying for other peoples mistakes

note the title of today's entry. yes, that's right. my sister recently had a baby (out of wedlock) and now i'm paying for it. if she was married she would be able to take care of her child but, no. no, she decides to sleep with her boyfriend then get pregnant and leave it to the rest of her family to take care of him. might i add that she will not hold him when he's crying. mother of the year award is not going to her, but, her friend's think she's a cool mom. the definition of mother is one who cares for the children and loves them. we threw her a baby shower, i told my mom not to do it so she doesn't think that this is okay. that she can just go off and get pregnant and screw up her life and not have to pay for it but, my mom says "she needs help and we still love her." yes, i noticed that but, love can also come in a firm way. love isn't spoiling your child, it's punishing it when it has done something wrong. so, my mom says "you won't have to...

question: do boys have the same taste as their dads?

the reason i'm asking that question is because my boyfriend claims that i'm just like his mom, his dad and him act similar but, there are differences. so, does this mean he'll end up like his dad? will i end up like my mother? my dad says that men are attracted to women like their mothers, and women are attracted to men like their fathers. i'm in trouble if that's true. eww! he'll probably clip his toenails into a pile then dust them off onto the floor! gross. egads! and if i'm like my mom i'll never leave people alone! constant prying into people's buisness, "what are you doing on the computer?" and "who are you writing to?" i'll be like barbara walters, but twice as annoying! drat! now i'm wondering if my boyfriend meant that comment as a compliment or cut down? hmm. we're going to discuss this later. hopefully a compliment. his birthday was yesterday, and even though he's fifteen now, he had it at chuck E. cheese. i think...

unexpected job fair

so, my school had a surprise job fair last week. my parents were invited and we looked around at the booths. but, in the end i had to take a job test and it turns out that i could be a secretary. hmmm. i took the typing test and i was able to type 38 words per minute. my teacher said that was pretty good for a teenager. i did fail on the spell check though. it turns out i can type that fast but, i can't spell the words out correctly typing that fast. i also did a fair job in mathematics and history. i have a lot of options for what my future career could be.

so how about those cardinals? i can't believe we're going to the world series! yay! champagne for everyone! go cards!

recent studies

i heard about some "recent" studies done. they are all new to me.

did you know that women that are 10 - 20 lbs overweight give birth to healthier babies than women who are 10- 15 lbs underweight or "just the right size". and the scientists said it's because the bigger women are less afraid to eat the foods the baby needs to be healthy, where skinnier women are more self concious about their weight.

women who are taller than their spouses are more likely to get heart problems than those who are shorter. scientists believe it's because the woman might have to do "harder" labor than the man.

women who are 5 to 6 inches above the average height die 20 years earlier than women who are the average height and below. scientist said its because the heart and organs work harder.

skinnier women have a higher percentage of cheating on their partner, where as skinnier men have a lower percentage of cheating on their partner.

so, anyway continuing the on going story

so, while i'm telling 'S' about the dancing experience, she gets a call from john. asking if she and i wanted to come over to his parents house for games and a movie possibly. he said it was adult supervised so, 'S' called her mom to ask for permission and her mom said yes.while i was eating i got a call on my cellphone it was greg asking if we were both coming i said yes and he said in a much cheerful note YES!. when we arrived at the house, john's parents were there to greet us. they said the boys were all very excited to have us over. we went to the basement and were surprisingly greeted with hugs. 'S' felt a little scared that something would happen, but, we weren't sure if maybe that's how they greeted most people. we started playing some games we played everything from yahtzee to clue then decided to watch a movie. we decided we all wanted to see "benchwarmers" so we went to go rent it. four of them...

a good time

well, last night my friend 'S' and i went out on the town. with her mom. it was a party before she leaves for her first day of school. we went to a bowling ally and bowled for an hour and a half. she beat me 200 to 250. then we went to play pool while her mom went to a friends house for scrapbooking and dinner. we had nachos and hot dogs. while we were playing pool, there were a couple of guys across the room from us. 'S' started to tense up because those guys were watching us play and they were older than her. i told her to relax they were probably only watching us play. i was wrong. 2 of them came over and started talking to us. they were probably 17 - 19 years old. they asked if they could play with us 'S' said "sure." so, we played a game of pool with them. after the game they had to leave. 'S' was all excited. "oh my gosh! i was just playing a game of pool with strange boys!" was all she would say for the next half or so. when her mom arrived, she...

a busy week

i can't believe i wasn't allowed to compete in the school presidential elections! the principal said because i was friends with one of the "presidents" i was not allowed to vote either. it is extremely frustrating. and the reason i couldn't compete is because my friend was running before me. and they didn't want any hard feelings if my friend beat me in the election. seriously, this is aggrivating! i'm not mad at my friend at all i'm just frustrated at the schools desicion.

well, in some lighter news i might be giving four of my six little cousins piano lessons. that won't be that bad. my aunt said she doesn't want them for free, although i'd have a much better time doing it for free than for money or cash. i don't know all the details she called to ask my mom first. she said the payment would be twenty dollars a kid. that in my opinion is too much for me. i was thinking five. i recently mowed my sister and her boyfriend's...

insults and retorts

i recently got my hair cut. it's short with a little flip in the back. i'm preparing you for the story i'm about to spin. here it is: on sunday i went to sunday school. i walked in to the youth room and this young "man" comes up to me and says "hey dude! oh, i'm sorry, you're a girl! see, it's hard to tell with your hair so short and your face is very manly!" everyone was laughing. i went over and sat down on the only non bean bag chair we have and a girl came over and said "your hair is really short! you should've not gotten it cut." i replied "please, i'm really not in the mood right now." all through the lesson that stupid boy would not leave me alone! he'd tug on my hair and ask if it hurts and i'd say yes and he'd say i shouldn't be able to feel it because my hair is so short. i asked the teacher to please make him stop but all he did was intently glare at him. and the boy just continued! finally, we were playing game with a yarn ball and after he had thrown it in my face a couple of times of purpose,...

gas prices! america's hell!

hi everybody! how's it goin'? it's going great so far today! yesterday, my dad and i walked across the old chain of rocks bridge and now i have a blister on my foot because i wore the wrong shoes, which brings me to my question: can blisters be unpainfully popped? hmmm. well, today i want to talk about the high gas prices. and why people won't just park their cars and pick up a bike. it could be a form of protest and frugalism. but, america is also very overweight. so more people are saying "screw the bike! i'll just blow my paycheck at the pump!" or, they go out just to drive around or to make useless trips to wal-mart or mcdonalds. it's very aggrivating! i know a girl at my school who has her mother drive her to see her boyfriend that lives 4 streets over! i walk to my boyfriend's house! he lives about a mile from my house! mainly i walk because my father won't give me a ride unless it is nessicary, i admit, if he would give me a ride i would take it. but, the walking is good for you. keeps me in...

awesome or bad mom?

hello everyone who reads my blog! how's your day going? mine's going just dandy. i took this quiz at my school to see if i would be a good mother, that way if i was maybe my mom would leave me the heck alone about being a good mom, and it said i was a , to quote "a good mom but, in many ways a bad mom." i think i faltered when it came to the discipline part of the quiz. i chose consistant instead of only when the child needs it. and mild punishment as aposed to easy punishment. now, what i wanna know is, why am i considered a "bad mom" for being a consistant punisher? am i wrong to want my future kids to be good and not spoiled? and i consider mild punishment grounding them to their room. or giving them a good lecture. i asked the teacher who handed them out what mild punishment was in their book and she said "giving them a time out is considered mild punishment" so i asked what grounding them was and she said it was hard punishment. the world is becoming to easy on kids! if we keep catering to their...

embarassment on the river front

save me! president bush is coming to missouri!
because st.louis was found by the french, taken over by the spanish and then taken over by america, the american "president" and the presidents of france and spain are coming to celebrate the bicentinial of missouri. and the pretend return of lewis and clark. i hope president bush does not embarass america anymore while foreign presidents are here to witness it. why does he have to come? i'm sure the state of missouri would understand if he didn't.
now, onto a new thought. rigged votes! right before bush ran for president, missouri was a democratic state. as soon as he runs for president it shows missouri as a republican state. what is up with that? and the "recount"? a.k.a. put more votes in there jeb, i wanna run a country who's name i can't spell. or, barely pronounce with my thick texas accent. i'm sure ann coulter who claim's the democrat's are godless, can spell it. or at least pronounce it in her cackling witch voice. i'm going...

moocher or really needs my help?

ok, i need some adult wisdom. i really don't know what to do.
a friend of mine that i haven't talked to for about a year or so called and asked to get back together because she had something serious to tell me. i met her at the mall and she told me she was 3 months pregnant. i congradulated her but, she almost immediatly went into this sob story about how if she doesn't get money to help pay for some of the babys things, she won't be able to take care of it. now, i work and really earn my paycheck. i'm only making maybe $150 every two weeks. i'm really struggling with this because, i know i should help her but, she did this to herself. this girl is 16 years old. she can get a job. she said she'd pay me back after the baby was born, but then added, "maybe you could be it's nanny". nanny? and what is she going to be doing? why can't her mother help her? or, the father of the child? she said she wasn't going to file for child support because she was too embarassed to. what? that's how the guy is...

intresting study

first, let me say, happy fathers day! if your a dad then today is your day to relax.
anyway, there was an intresting study done that i was reading about. it claims that children who have tonsils tend to be more mischeivious than those without. hmmmmm. intresting. i suppose now, whenever i get in trouble i can blame it on my tonsils now. no, i wouldn't let them have the credit. see, that makes since. if your child screams alot, and then it's tonsils are removed and it's not supposed to scream for like, 2 weeks i think. or 3. anyway, it would have to build self control. with self control it thinks to itself " i could have this toy now or save it for my birthday" my friends little brother had his tonsils removed and he's better behaved. he still acts up, he's only 5 years old, but, he listens more and pays attention to you when your talking. it could also be that, when before you would discipline him he couldn't hear your reason now, when he's not screaming "NO! I DON"T WANNA!" he's...
