this guide is for teens ages 13 - 18. hopefully by the age of 18 your more intelligent than a 13 year old. anyway, let's continue. here is my guide to poularity and sanity in school. 1.) get a boyfriend / girlfriend even if she/ he is a nerd or unpopular. your equals. this will also in a way be doing a good deed. you'll be helping him/ her become popular too. and will be making a allie. 2.) don't put off breaking up when you know you want to. prolonging the situation will only make it worse. if you want to see other people, say so. be prepared for the boy / girl to feel rejected. even if you've only been together for a little while and haven't been to serious there's still a sense of rejection when someone says they prefer the company of others compared to their exclusive company. but if your honest and forward the boy/ girl will appreciate you for your kind and straight forward manner in which you told him. unless he's a real jerk or crybaby, you'll remain friends. 3.) being attractive is the most inportant thing in the teenage world. make sure you keep your hair spotlessly clean. wash it once every 2 weeks. shower everyday. and when you see susie the homecoming queen or johnny the baseball hero tell them you like the game or article in the newspaper. tell them you like their hair or outfit. you'll become friends and future birthday party guest. lucky you! 4.) don't get yourself into trouble. get in as many clubs as they'll let you. stay out of trouble! this way you won't go to the principal and get in trouble. take up a hobby. start collecting baseball or football cards. start singing or dancing. get in some sports at school. or at your church or community center. 5.) start doing your homework as soon as you get home. you'll have more time after that to do whatever you want. not to mention, you'll make your parents glad and have a much more successful future and report card. 6.) make allies. allies are important in highschool. find a friend you can trust all your secrets with. but don't tell them all your secrets. only 2 or 3. this will keep you and your allie good friends. they'll want to know all your secrets. 7.) start a support group. but to get popular, make it fun and cool. i'll make a separate list of what you'll need to make it cool. making your support group cool: drinks : punch or soda. snacks : chips or snack cakes like, little debbies. games: take the problem your working on and turn it into an awesome game. example: math poker. or spelling blackjack. and bet money (pocket change) or junk. like, little figureines you don't want. it's cool and borderline sophisticated. monopoly is a good game for math too. music: rap or rock. have it as background music. it'll make it easier to study. play cd's like, jay-z or good charlotte. i hope this helps you.
