Chapter 2-Journey

Title: "The White Garden"

Chapter 2-Journey

She has to leave.  This place is too depressing.  She feels the wind tugging her someplace else.  I do not belong here.  So she plans.

One particular day, she rummages through the accumulations of rubble.  Out of the corner of her eye, she notices a shimmer.  She reaches for the shimmer and pulls out a glistening sharp object.  When she holds it up to light, colors stream out from it.  Astounded by the object, she pockets it.

The next morning, she leaves.  It takes a long time because the parts of the trail are covered in debris.  But she knows she must keep going.

After hours have passed by, she feels warm sand under her feet that replaced the remnants of destruction.  She knows she has made it so she lifts her head and sees a golden light fading beyond the horizon.  The light is comforting and familiar.

Night falls and she sleeps.  She dreams of the golden light and a voice calling to her.  Ray.

Chapter 1-Awakening

Title: "The White Garden"

Chapter 1-Awakening

She remembers nothing.  But she feels light warming her face.  It pries her eyelids open.  Ugh, my vision's foggy.  When her eyes clear up, she studies her surroundings and wonders: Where am I?

Apparently, this young girl is in a land of rubble.  It's a gloomy sight with pieces of old coal and remnants of demolished buildings.  She does not know what to do and becomes overwhelmed.  Blank transluscent tears slide down her face from empty red eyes.

Weary from tears, the girl drifts to sleep.  The next morning, she has forgotten everything again.

She feels cheerful this day so she begins to explore this land of rubble.  The girl, remarkably intelligent, records her discoveries in her mind.  After a long day of wandering, the girl feels satisfied.  This time, she falls asleep with a smile on her face.

The next morning, she remembers.

Prologue

Title: "The White Garden"

Prologue-

It was on a full moon that the little girl was born.  When the child first laid eyes on the world, her brilliant ruby eyes lit up with delight.  Her parents smiled adoringly and enjoyed the moonlight.

By the majestic waterfall, there was a the protruding rock of a cliff.  On it was a small bench where a young girl sat, listening to the soft splashing of running water.  She was an angelic child  with snowy pale white hair and warmly frank crimson eyes.  The girl was completely immersed in the waterfall, so she did not notice her disappearance.

The little girl vanished.  Water continued to fall.
