Melanie's Thoughts

   Ok, so I didn't think I would be ranting this soon into my blog, but what the hell! I think the weather is making people crazy today, or at least cranky. Or is it just me? Maybe I am just pissed because I went through my shoes today and packed up all the ones I can't wear right now..you know, the cute ones with STYLE. The ones with heels. So all I am left with are freaking flip-flops. The name says it all. Oh, and I just finished the whipped cream cheese. Notice I said "whipped". That stuff is better than .....well, better than regular cream cheese

Jenna is doing good, or so the doc says. He told me I am measuring right on now. Last time I was there they said I, or she, was measuring small. Huh, that's funny, cause I feel like a fatass!  He prescribed Pepsid, Pepcid, whatever, for my acid reflux. Thank God! We had our tour of the maternity hospital last night at our class. The rooms now come equipped with VCR's, since poor white trash people can't keep from stealing the DVD players out of the rooms! That is sad. Seriously, though, the rooms are great. Nice, semi-normal looking beds, a living room type area, cd players, jacuzzi tubs with jets, all that fun stuff. So, despite the pain I will be in, at least everyone else in the room will be comfy and have some sort of entertainment, besides keeping my head from spinning like the exorcist.Ha ha! Seriously, after the tour, I am a little nervous about doing the whole labor thing again. Maybe it's just the fact that Jenna is measuring "right on", and I think she is gonna be big..

If only my Minga was gonna be here! She's taken care of me on drunken, throw-up-out-the-car-door-nights, kept me calm at times when I could have went nuts, and she has shut me up before I got my ass kicked on more than a few occasions! So why can't she be here for the birth of my 2nd child???? Minga, I know you don't want to move back, but damn! We miss you!

Well, more later. I feel a little better!

Hey all! Awesome news!!!! I got my "job offer" from DFAS tonight!! There IS light at the end of the tunnel! Now it's looking more like Jake, Jordyn, Jenna, Kaci (the dog) and I will be able to get our place hopefully before Jenna's birthday! (Dec 2) Jake only has 5 DAYS left of the academy before he grads! I am soooo proud of him! We are going tomorrow to my glucose/sugar test at my 26 week appointment, then shopping for an interview suit for him, then off again to the hospital for our childbirth class. It should be fun..We get to take a tour of the maternity ward and all that fun stuff! Can't beleive it's getting so close to "that time"! Am going to enroll Jordyn in ballet class here at the Dance Loft, so she can have her own "big girl thing" going on, before Jenna is here. Also, me getting on with DFAS means Jordyn goes back to school!! I know she will be so glad to get away from mommy at least a few hours a day!

As far as my Mary Kay news, I am getting set for my Business Debut Party this Sunday..I can't wait to get started on this! Joanna and I are going to Lexington Saturday for a Pacesetter's seminar and training. I am excited to see what goes on at these! Wish me luck on my debut!

Well, I am actually tired tonight, and it's only 10:48 pm! Usually I am up til 2 or so, wide awake! I'll probably end up getting back up at 2 though:)
