可怕的四个一(ZT)
阿宽的杂文很世俗很有趣也有点道理，可以代表部分香港文化特色。这是他的一篇《可怕的四个一》：
愛情每每是理性上的一連串「不」，遇上感性上的一個「是」。之前的那一串「不」，被這個「是」輕輕一碰，骨牌般倒下來。
傳統女性對愛情的要求是四個「一」：一心一意一生一世。這要求管制了數量與時間。時代與環境的轉變，對上述要求造成了衝擊，無論我們何等不願，也無法漠視這些轉變。當一心一意與一生一世被捧得愈崇高時，在現實生活就愈難求。女人只要回心一想，就知這崇高的專一和永恆要求中，未有任何質素上的保證。
舉個例，有大量專一和保用一世的劣質男人或質素一般的貨色充斥感情市場，女人又是否能夠滿足？
或者，未來有一種醫學科技，有如絕育手術一樣，只要男人同意，就可以到醫院做這簡單手術，在腦部截斷某一組神經，令男人從此專一，不會愛上其他女人。在熱戀期或結婚前，女人可以向她的男人提出要求，叫他去做這保證得到四「一」的手術，我懷疑有多少女人願意讓她的男人去做。
女人會想，萬一有天我不再愛這個男人，但他還是一心一意，死纏不休，甚至威脅我和未來男友的生命，怎辦？戀愛多次，每個男人都做了這手術，都死纏一世，那是多可怕的一回事！

鞋子
新买的。普通得不能再普通的样式。但穿上去却非常非常舒服。
上次买的。算是今年的时尚潮流。但穿上它无异于一种刑罚。有一次走在半路真想一脚甩掉它打赤脚还好过。
好看的有时候不一定是适合的呀。

开饭
每个周末的惯例：一次做好下周5天的伙食。有时候对付，有时候也用心去做。这次是用了点心思的。特别是那碗辣辣的牛肉面，味道算是比较正宗了。（照片不太清晰，因为相机机身太小，手抖得相当厉害。据说现在有防抖功能的DC问世。不知道是不是真的。）

本周亮点
昨天看了在Pierce College的舞蹈演出。综合性的，有HIP-HOP，爵士舞，踢踏舞，现代舞...6元的门票，绝对的物超所值。最喜欢的还是帅帅的HIP-HOP，配上神秘的有点中东又有点印度的曲风，和美伦美幻的舞美光效，真是赏心悦目。
明天是电影达芬奇密码全球公映的日子，还在犹豫去还是不去。部分先睹为快的业内人士反应不是很好，说没有拍出原著的"guilty pleasure"。什么是guilty pleasure? 不清楚。翻翻原著看。

被收购是福不是祸
公司被收购。刚开始有些担心饭碗问题；现在轻松多了。不但饭碗不丢，还被安排接手新客户：负责参与百事可乐公司的员工医疗保险管理。其实，新公司提供的更慷慨福利政策已经足以让人期待了。

诡异经济学 (FREAKONOMICS)
最近都没看到什么好看的电影。反而是这本书带给我不少乐趣。几个午餐的时间就读完了，很过瘾。摘录其中几个让我笑出声来，或是惊讶地嘴巴成O型的文字片段：
An office is more honest when the employees like their boss and their work...employees further up the corporate ladder cheat more than those down below...perhaps cheating was how they got to be executives.
(My word: 从个人经历来看，有些道理。)
A moral question: could any man resist the temptation of evil if he knew his acts could not be witnessed?

Information is the currency of the Internet. As a medium, the Internet is brilliantly efficient as shifting information from the hands of those who have it into the hands of those who do not...Experts depend on the fact that you don't have the information they do. Or that you are so befuddled by the complexity of their operation that you wouldn't know what to do with the information if you had it. Or that you are so in awe of their expertise that you wouldn't dare challenge them.
(My word: 完全赞同。又再次庆幸生在这个互联网时代。)

According to a study, if DeShawn Williams and Jake Williams sent identical resumes to the same employer, Jake Williams would be more likely to get a callback. The implication is that black-sounding names carry an economic penalty.
