Majeres' Musings

Liberal webpage just shows very vague visions... no actions.

by: majere

Well I have said it before,  the Liberal website just blows obscure visions.  No facts, no actions to be taken and when.  No countering the Cons with facts.

Dion has not connected with me what so ever talking about the environment which is a non-issue to most people.  So why does he think he has to be Green?

Dion, talk about reversing the income tax raise (lowest tier) that the Cons did.

Talk about allowing mopeds, 50 cc scooters just requiring a written test to help cities like Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal.  Heck you can ride a scooter here in Kitchener sometimes up to Christmas if you dress for it.  Do I need to spell out that people are peeved at the gas prices and pinching pennies is a way of life for many people now?

Tell the cities to set up free parking for mopeds and scooters along with the above.  It sounds good but is out of Fed jurisdiction.

Tell Canadians that the Military will be called back, all of them in 2009.  Explain that the Russians could not do it, give facts, that Canada will not get caught up in a Vietnam type of guerilla war.  That we (the Libs) committed the troops in error and that you are very sorry but have the obligation to stay till 2009.

So come on and start talking facts, not vague meaningless visions and that goddam green stuff.

Liberals to Be Shut Out of Quebec By-Elections?
Daniel Proussalidis with notes from CTV
Friday, September 14, 2007

A new poll in Quebec suggests Monday's federal by-elections may be bad news for Liberal Leader Stephane Dion.

According to a Unimarketing-La Presse survey, the NDP's Thomas Mulcair will sweep the Liberals in Montreal's Outremont riding.

The same poll suggests the Bloc Quebecois will take St. Hyacinthe-Bagot and the Conservatives will likely snag Roberval-Lac St. Jean.

CTV's Robert Fife suggests, if those poll results translate into actual voting results, there may be moves within the Liberals to oust Dion if he's perceived as a weak leader.

"And that's where you get forces like Mr. Ignatieff and Mr. Rae working to develop their leadership campaigns for after the next election, when there would be a mandatory leadership review, and they would try to force him out," says Fife.

The poll also suggests almost half of voters may decide to change their minds at the last minute, while 41% say they won't bother to vote at all.

Unimarketing spoke to about 1,000 people in each of the three ridings.

cheers :) majere
