Ashlee & Braxton: Tight As Ever

While Jessica Simpson works through the details of her divorce from Nick Lachey, things are still going strong for Ashlee Simpson and her beau, guitarist Braxton Olita. "We were just in Kona for seven days. It was wonderful," she says of their Valentine's Day vacation in Hawaii, including a trip to Oahu to visit Olita's family.
Simpson's so close to her boyfriend these days that she even shared an intimate activity with him: She watched him shave his head – but kept her hands to herself. "I was nervous I would get a big nick in there and it would be all my fault it was a bad haircut," she told us backstage at MTV's 4th Annual TRL Awards (airing Feb. 25 at 12 p.m. ET), where she picked up the first-ever Bounce-Back Award. As for recovering from her infamous Saturday Night Live lip-synching incident, the singer says: "It's a new year and nothing much has happened. Hopefully it's gonna be smooth sailing now."
