While Jessica Simpson works through the details of her divorce from Nick Lachey, things are still going strong for Ashlee Simpson and her beau, guitarist Braxton Olita. "We were just in Kona for seven days. It was wonderful," she says of their Valentine's Day vacation in Hawaii, including a trip to Oahu to visit Olita's family.
Simpson's so close to her boyfriend these days that she even shared an intimate activity with him: She watched him shave his head – but kept her hands to herself. "I was nervous I would get a big nick in there and it would be all my fault it was a bad haircut," she told us backstage at MTV's 4th Annual TRL Awards (airing Feb. 25 at 12 p.m. ET), where she picked up the first-ever Bounce-Back Award. As for recovering from her infamous Saturday Night Live lip-synching incident, the singer says: "It's a new year and nothing much has happened. Hopefully it's gonna be smooth sailing now."
Lately Eva Longoria has been dressed to the nines – literally. She's got boyfriend Tony Parker's San Antonio Spurs jersey number emblazoned everywhere, from the diamond "9" pendant Parker gave her for Christmas to her new, customized T-Mobile Sidekick II with the digit in silver crystals.
And she wore her heart on her jeans at the NBA's All-Star Celebrity Game in Houston: She sported custom denim with "Tony P." in rhinestones as the team she coached (players included Nelly and Superman's Brandon Routh) took on Queen Latifah's crew. Parker, who caught the first half of the bout, said he hadn't offered Longoria any tips: "She did her homework watching (San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg) Popovich." Still, her team lost 32-24.
Then at the NBA All-Star Game a few days later, her denim duds were embellished with a 9 next to a sequined red, white and blue star. Both pairs of custom jeans were from J & Company. "They made me four pairs," Longoria told us, "and you will see them all."
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt
Though Brad Pitt's publicist shot down British press reports this week that the star and ex-wife Jennifer Aniston had settled the division of their marital estate, the couple have slashed the asking price of their former Beverly Hills home together, from $28 million down to $24.95 million, reports the Wall Street Journal.
The vintage 1935 French Normandy-style house, which sits on 1 1/3 acres, has five bedrooms, and nine bathrooms, and went on the market in October – the same month that the couple's divorce became final after 4 1/2 years of marriage.
The newspaper says Pitt and Aniston will share the proceeds from the sale.
They had purchased the residence in 2001 and spent three years on renovations that include a screening room and pub, and ended up living in it for less than two years.
Pitt is now expecting a baby with Angelina Jolie and is in the process of adopting her two children, Maddox and Zahara. Aniston is keeping company with Vince Vaughn.
