childhood friends

Work today is practically making me suicidal.
I hate it when it's the Thursday before a long weekend - the day just can't end soon enough.
I just got back from my lunch break and my boyfriend and I had an incredibly weird conversation about death and people we know who died... It made me think about my childhood best friend Katie, whose dad died of cancer when we were really little, and how I don't even know where she lives anymore.
We went through so much together, it's kind of sad when you think about the people who used to be so important to you and how little they matter anymore.
I should call her.
