Lack of enthusiasm

by: jaybee

Mood: zzzzzzzzzzzzz
Listening to: northerly wind blowing

Really can’t get in the mood for blog or journaling. Made a big effort on the bills and paper work last weekend, no, two weekends ago, but even that burst of enthusiasm has dried up. Doesn’t take much. I guess with things being so busy at work, the emphasis on doing stuff at home has come off - it’s all I can do to keep up with the washing, folding and cooking - never mind extras like baking and accounts. Haven’t even read a book for a couple of weeks. This week I go back to working four days, so the catch up might begin.

Duncan managed to cause a bit of a disaster the other night - small bum + shower plughole = flood - and it was the upstairs shower at that. How could you growl when the lad was absolutely squeaky clean and no longer had pongy feet? Ten million towels later we thought we were ok but discovered water running down the wall in the lounge - on further investigation found the water had run under the wall from the bathroom into our room and Duncan's - time to call the insurance company! Next day they sent a bloke round with a huge dehumidifier and 3 giant blowers, he pulled the carpet up and it dried out by the next afternoon. Ah well, could have been worse I guess.

Had Business House Smallbore shooting this week. I shot for work last night (82.0 L ) and Squash tonight (88.0 J ); Brent shot for his work (92.0) and Squash (94.0) tonight. I was gutted to be the lowest scorer for our work team, but am pleased with tonight’s score. One day I might shoot in the 90s!

Work was B. awful yesterday. The balance is doubly upset at the moment with one of the “A” team away on holiday, and the arrival of GG - actually JG but those initials are already in the system for somebody else. Not only has she filled in for the last week and a bit full time, but she is going to be doing Fri/Sat from now on. My Fridays - Gary didn’t even offer for me to keep Fridays.

Cover your eyes or skip this paragraph if you don’t want to read some childish grizzling and spleen venting: I hate her being there, I don’t like her, I don’t feel comfortable around her, she’s a know all, she grates on everybody, she’s in your face, she’s brash and loud and overconfident and won’t stay behind the counter and serve so that the rest of us can get on with what we are doing but buggers off doing things here and there and commenting about gaps in stock and etc etc etc and it feels as if she’s on a takeover mission. There, that feels better for being out.

Childcare is to the fore again. Gina has got a full time job and won’t be able to look after Duncs after this week. Two people (can’t remember who) recommended Debbie T so I rang her and yes, she will do it but I have to go and collect him and drop him off to her. Lucky to get her I guess.

Gotta go, falling asleep, literally.
