A trip to hospital

Interclub night, Brent is playing in Palmerston North tonight but I'm expecting him home sometime soon.

Duncan and I had a trip to PN hospital A&E Dept tonight - he was opening a cardboard box, using the sword shaped metal letter opener (from Toledo no less) when Brent and I both said at once "Put that down before you have an accident"; that's when he had an accident - the box gave way, the hand shot up and the eye copped it. Of course there were cries and tears and heart stopping moments while we checked whether our baby was blinded for life, but I am happy to say that he isn't, just sporting a bloodshot eye and the hospital declared the eyeball bruised but not scratched. Phew. What a fright - shows how your life can alter in a split second.

Ooooh there is a wonderful sale on at work at the moment - anything that writes is half price. That's EVERYTHING that writes, from a humble HB pencil to a Waterford pen set!! Hold me back.....

So much for my good work in the bills dept- thought that once the desk was cleared I would dig out the passport applications and get them done. Brent is stressing big time that we will miss our Fiji trip because the passports won't be ready in time, but I have just been waiting for the right moment. Anyway, when I was wading through paperwork I found both sets of passport photos so tonight I sat down ready to fill out the forms and bugger me, I can't find Brent's photos now. I've searched and searched through all my piles of ex-clutter to no avail. Have I biffed them by mistake? At least I haven't burned anything from that area yet. Will get on with it maybe on Friday, my next day off.

Gary asked if I would consider Thursdays - well as I was leaving tonight I said, "You didn't want me tomorrow did  you, it's next Thursday - or is Tania working?" "Oh," he said looking sheepish, "I forgot to ask if she would work tomorrow, can you?" So I am. Brent pulled a face but I thought he would be pleased. I can't win no matter what.

Disappointed at the lack of visitors to my other site, guess it just isn't interesting enough. Not that I think this one is particularly gripping, but there have been eight hundred and fifty something hits on it - amazing to me!! And only 2 people have filled in my "Where are you" poll, also disappointing. Ah well, never mind.

Might go and write the old fashioned way now.
