The Glue that holds things together
In looking up Galatians 5:22,23 - Fruits of the spirit I thought I knew what that passage ment. Then I come accrost a different version - "THE MESSAGE" ......
But what happens when we live God's way? He brings gifts into our lives much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard. Things like affection for others, exuberence about life, senerety. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sence of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitements, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely......
This is the third time that I've read this passage this way. Each time as I started I was rapped up in a lot of frustration hait and anger. Each time when I finished it was all gone. There was this gentle peacefull existance around me. My guess - It was God applying a bit of his brand of glue - where I began to come un done.
