Simple Answers

by: jamryn

Sometimes  the answer is right there in your face. You just need to open your eyes and look.

Todays thought is on Reconciliation - accepting our own responsibility. It's always someone elses fault - never our own. Always "WHY ME?"

When I was reading Isha's blog - it all fell into place.  http://www.blogigo.com/soul_search2  check out her blog  she wrote on June 26th. titled Understemations....reality truth and my comment on that blog.

Genesis 32: 24-28

Jacob stayed behind, by himself, and a man wresled with him untill daybreak. When the man saw that he coulden't get the best of Jacob as they wreseled, he delibertly threw Jacob's hip out of joint.

The man said ' let me go it's daybreak."Jacob said " I'm not letting you go  till you bless me."

The man said" what is your name?" "Jacob" he answered. The man said" but no longer. Your name is no longer Jacob. From now on it is Israel ( GOD-WRESTLER); you've wreseled  with God  and you've come through.

Togetherness?

by: jamryn

United we stand - divided we  fall? That can and should pertain to more than a country. 50 - 75 - 100 years ago there was little said about divorce. Families stuck together - right or wrong - they stuck together. Blended families - was non existence or at the least not that well spoken about.

Sometimes I even wonder if it would be going out on a limb to say that the CONFLICT between countries stems back to the conflict between families? We all do it. Even tho it's not right. There is enstrangement between husband and wife - fierce rivalry between brother and sister.Etc....etc....etc.......

Familey # 1. splits. Mom ...one way and Dad another. The  children split between the two. Each re-marys . now ( on mom's side)  you have 1/2 mom's and 1/2 new dad's ? They divorce - and you have 1/4  her's 1/4 second dad's and 1/2 new dad's?  Before we attempt to go any farther  it sounds like  1 BIG MESS to me.

Genesis 25:27,28

The boys ( twins ) grew up. Esau became an expert hunter, an outdoorsman. Jacob was a quiet man prefering life indoors among the tents. Isaac loved Esau( better?) because he loved his game, but Rebekah loved Jacob( better ?)

Bottom line ...........................

There was  conflict before ..........

there's conflict now..........

there will be conflict in the future.........

The key is how we choose to deal with it.

Carry on

by: jamryn

Continuity - keep it going. O let it all fall apart.  Time keeps marching on but some of us get lost some where in the middle of it. A promice may be a promice yet if you can't clearly see the light at the end of the tunnel you might get frustrated. The ADD is kicking in again.  There is so much to do - so little time to get it done - and too much that I've already forgotten to do.........

Genisis 26:24

That very night GOD appeared to him ( Isaac) and said; I am the GOD of Abraham your father; don't fear a thing because I am with you. I'll bless you and make your children flourish because of Abraham my servent. Thats why we should keep the familey stories alive by telling them over and over again - so we  can remember them.  FYI - Stories? Hospitality

by: jamryn

Come into my parlor said the spider to th fly...............Well that might not be the best excample of hospitality.

Yet how many of us seem to have other ideas when atempting to welcome others? Do we limit ourselves and only accept an invitation from those we know? Has this world become so scary and therating that we shrink from getting to know someone new?

Are we so afraid of extending an invitation for fear that they might accept? What a waste. Are we truly comfortable in that tiny , dark and gloomy box we've backed ourselves into?

Remember in last Mondays blog  - God SAID LET THERE BE LIGHT......AND THAT LIGHT WAS GOOD.Is it time to inlighten ourselves to a better life - enjoying ALL that this world has to offer?

Genesis 18:19

Yes, I've settled on him as the one  to train his children and future familey to observe GOD'S way of life, kindely and generously and fairley, so GOD can compleate in Abraham( can we dare to do less - train our children? ) what he promised him.

Puffed up Pride

by: jamryn

Oh how important we are. We are in charge. Human , above all else, just one step below the angles. We don't need anyone else or any thing else.  Lets show this world who's boss.

Let's re-create our own world. In fact let's start here with re-creating Babble-blogigo. We all beleve in self improvement?

Right? ( so do all the major CULTS  and gangs beleve in these things)

We all beleve that we should love one another?

Right?

We all beleve that we need to give to receve?

Right?

So let's stop beating around the bush( take that any way you want) and everyone unamously  elect me  surpreem leader.Lets build the world's tallest tower - here in Chicago. Then we call all live here together. Since it was my idea and since I'm all-knowing you'all will follow me  - no matter what! Understood !

Oh my where did it all go wrong?Where and when will we realize that it takes all kindes to make this world  - go around?

Just think about it.......What would it be like if there were 10 , 100, or 1000 people all living in the same house - that looked like, sounded like and thought exactelly like you - 24/7/365 ?

Genesis 11:4

Then they said,"Come, lets build ourselves a city and a tower that reaches heaven. Lets make ourselves famous so we won't be scattered here and there, accrost the Earth."

Discipleship revisited

by: jamryn

I need more  structure and stability in my live at this moment. I've decided to go back over some of the highlights of the Disciple Study I took a few months back. You're more than welcome to come along if you wish.

 BEING HUMAM

I am human. I rule.  This world and every thing in it was designed for me. Why should'nt I enjoy it?  Eat - live and be happy, that's my moto. let the other poor shelips clean up the mess I make.

There are trees galore and wide open spaces. I'll set myself up as hero. I'll chop down a few trees here and there - nobody will ever miss them. I will build many many  large buildings in those open spaces - for everyone to enjoy the splenders of nature and - ME.

THE  WORLD AROUND US

Have we become so power hungry that we've lost sight of the true treasures that we have around us?  I saw a symbol from the one with REAL POWER last week. After a massave storm - hubby and I went for a drive.

Off to my right was the most  viverant and beautiful rainbow. It was as if I could just stretch out my hand and touch it.

It was - is - will always be GOD'S PROMICE to us. What should our promice to HIM be?

Genesis 1: 3-4   God - Spoke: "Light!" And Light appeared. God saw that light was good and seperated light from dark.

Think about that!  Of God's power that even light itsself felt compeled to OBEY! Then the fact that God made a seperate distinction between light and dark. Good and .........  What, then can, should we be doing to shed a little more LIGHT on ........?

Leaders or Losers

by: jamryn

Good Leadership or Bully's,you tell me.

1.   Is the leader focused totaly on themself. Me, myself and I? Does the leader play god - in the fact that what ever they say or do is absolute? They are the leader and they say so - so there?

Or do they play the dutifull servent?Do they get right in the thick of things - roll up there sleeves and get messy along with the rest of us.

2.   Does the leader rule by throwing their weight around? Do they try to dominate and control every little picky thing we do?

Or does the leader seek out the weeknesses etc. in hopes of building and stregenthening us all? Do they seek solutions rather than to lay blame?

3.   Does the leader start coralling us in to seperate groups - to each be treated different?

Or does the leader look to unite us as one. One group that works - all for one and one for all? Unuted we stand - Diveided( any nation - group - etc. ) we fall?

4.   Does the leaders contribution fit justice and peace for all?

Or do they have their own hidden adjenda?

Oh so True!

by: jamryn

For Boomers and Before Boomers:

My mom use to cut chicken, chop eggs, and spread  mayo on the same cutting board with the same knife, and no bleach, but we didnt seem to get food poisoning.

We all took gym, not PE....and risked perminent injury with a high top Ked's ( only woren in gym) instead of having cross-training athletic shoes with air cushion soles and built in light reflectors. I can't recall any injuries but they must have happened because they tell us how much safer we are now.

Flunking gym was not an option.....even for stupid kids! I guess PE  must be much harder than gym.

I thought I was suppose to accomplish something  before I was allowed to be proud of myself.

We played king of the hill on piles of gravel left  on vacant construction sites and when we got hurt, Mom pulled out the 48 cent bottle of  MERCUROCHROME ( kids liked it better because it didn't sting like iodine did ) and then we got our behind spanked.( child abuse) NOW  it's a big trip to the emergency room, followed by a 10 day-dose of a $ 49 bottle of antibotics and then mom calls an attorney to sue  the contractor for leaving a horrible vicious pile of gravel where it was such a threat!.

We were obiviously so duped by so many societal ills, that we didn't even notice that the entire country wasen't taking Prozac! How did we ever survive?

4 th.?

by: jamryn

Let's all strive to be 4th on the 4th. If we could do this - how do you think it would effect the world around us?

1. God first.

2. Spouse second.

3.Communityfamiley,

neighbors, country, etc. third.

4. Self last.
