Families Fanticy Land
Years ago there were certian TV shows designed to teach us what a familey should and should not be.( Lassie, Father knowes best and Leave it to Beaver)
Yes I know I'm showing my age by mentioning them here. They did their best to project us all into family fantancy land. No one family has ever , is now and ever will be that perfect. I wanted to puke then and still do , when I watch them.
A few days ago I made an inocent comment ( see comment from previous blog )on a new blogers blog - commenting on her statement of being soooo board visiting her grandparents on mothers day.My apoligies - Preceving the statement as one comming from a teen - I mearly wanted to inject a diferent point of view. One from the stand point of the grandparents.
I'm somewhat surprised and then again not surprised by her quick anger , directed to that responce. I've been on both sides of the fence so to speak. Durring the long borring trips - demanded by parents and being the eldery parents and or grandparents waiting for a promised visit that never comes.
Lighten up my friend - take a second and third or more point of view. Carring around that much anger is not going to mak things easer.
