One reasion - for why this world in such a mess?
No one can understand anyone else ! We are all (figeratively) speaking a diferent language !
In the book - or online www.YearToSuccess.com Bo Bennett - on day # 16 talks about ENTHUSIASM. Sounds simple enough - don't you think? We all understand what enthusiam means - right?
It is explained that the word Entusiasm origianly camr from the word enthousiasmos or enthos meaning GOD within
EN = within
THEOS = GOD
Just so we're all on the same page - I decided to once again play my favorite word game and look up the meaning of a few of these words.
ENTHUSIAM = 1. Great excitement for a subject or a cause 2. ( archaic) Ecstacy arising from supposed possession by a god. 3. Religous fanticism
FANATICISM = excessive irrational zeal
ARCHAIC = no longer current or applicable I'm fully aware of my age and that some of my ( and other people's ) ideas may be out of touch with those 30 and under but........archaic?That would mean tha anyone past 30 should have died off with the dianasours.
EXCESSIVE = exceeding a normal, usual, reasonable, or proper limit here we go again - explain - exactely what is NORMAL. What the word means for some one living is the USA would be different than some one living in Aferica or China. What is normal, reasonable and proper? And who decides? President Bush ? Toney Blair? Or the head of China?
IRRATIONAL = not indowed with reason, affected by loss of usual or normal clarityWhat does that mean? I've heard it said that left handed peoples reasioning comes from the right side of their ( creative )brain.
And right handed peoples reasioning comes from the left side ( rational - reasioning )of their brain.
So does that mean that only right handed people are rational or that left handed people are the only creative people?
ZEAL = enthusastic devotion to a cause, ideal,or goal and tireless dilligence in it's furtherance Full circle ? Back to great excitement for a subject or cause. For me - I am excited when I see the MIRICALS that God's still doing in the world today ! With the previous definitions - I take offence to be called arcaic.
