Out of Respect

by: jamryn

We are thrust into this world - not of our own choosing.  Out of respect for one another  - animal, plant or mineral, should we not be taking better care of this place we all call home?

God created a garden, put people in it, and then put a hoe in their hands.  When and why did we decide to drop the hoe?  With the garden came  cultivation and caretaking obligations. Be fruitfull and multiply.  When did obligation become the BAD word?

Acid rain and pollution  kill forests, animals and much more. What can - should - you do to reverse that action? Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees around your community?

Encourage recycleing?

How far? There's too much stuff going to landfills and going to waste.  I've recentely joined a group that helps. http://www.freecycle.org   they have groups nearly every where.  You have something that you no longer need - someone else could use it? Pass it on - free.  Just keep it out of the land fills.

Just call it respect for one another!

New Poll...........

by: jamryn

Time for a change.........Time to satisfy my warped sence of curosity.Time for useless information that may or may not be any of my business.Other than I'm curious to know.

Did you ever wonder Who's here?

What's goes through their minds?

Where they all come from?

When to know if they are still here or not?Excample - the shooting Range blog - It keeps on getting hits but no new - news. What's their secret?

How many different countries are represented here?

What's the average age range?

It's so hot that.......

by: jamryn

I'm melting.  Eh.....maybe not but It certianly feels like it.  It feels as if I was slowely softening and dissolving  into a big liquid pool of  ???? on the clean kitchen floor.

We worked so hard to get the place up to par - to pass the housing assistance inspection.  Then the gentelman shows up - takes about two or three steps in side.  - takes a very quick glance around and procedes to ask me questions, while he rapidaly check off the answer before I have a chance to say any thing. He  promply anounces PASSED and walks out.

I'm still thinking Duh.......................?????? What was that?????

This afternoon turned into  tomorrow - I mean Today.

I guess I'm still in shock.  It took only one jab ( hardly felt) and it was all over.

Usualy - anywhere else it would take a lot of poking - a lot of polk's and jabs and a lot more missing the right spot and still get nothing.  Some of them would - kind of stick it - anywhere - then go on a kind of hunt( with the needle still in my arm) and search for the right vein. Just the thought of that still  makes me squimish.

I guess when you find the right docter and the right clinic it makes a BIG difference. I 've got a sleep test comming up next month. I've never had one.  I'd be interested in comments  from anyone who has.  Yesterday I was going to forward a cute e-mail that my daughter sent me.   I'll put it in my other blog.  http://www.blogigo.com/jamryn1

A Prayer

by: jamryn

A  Prayer for our land and our leaders. (copied from todays Church Bulletin )

Almighty God, have mercy on the people of this land. Forgve our hardness of heart, and contempt of your word and commandments. Help us to lay aside the prode which deludes us, the prejudice which binds us, and the haitred which destroys us.

Lord, give to our leaders patience and wisdom and the humility to seek your way forward. May your spiriy of truth guide them, your justice direct them, and your love unite them, so that your will be done. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

by: jamryn

And 58 years later - http://skepdic.com/roswell.html    they are still buying that old story about a thunder storm and a weather balloon.

Ha ha  ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

My secret is still safe. Just 942 more years of research  on this planet and I can then go home.
