advice?
I don't know if others received this invite in their guestbooks to
visit a certain blog that dispenses valuable advice. I visited the
website to see if this person could offer me any valuable
insight. So I posted a common question to explore the depth of
her knowledge and experience on the topic of relationships and life.
My question was " Why do women tend to gravitate towards assholes?"
To which she replied as a comment in a blog I posted long long ago and which I only found recently :
For answer to your questions, I give you: We probably go around the "assholes" because sometimes, they can be so desperate that they get assholeish to get our attention. That's my advice.
I want to take this time to thank this person for their valuable insight. However, I too have advice to dispense to this aspiring advice columnist.
When offering advice or insight, try and answer the question that is posed. In response to why women might tend to gravitate towards assholes, I was told why men might act "assholeish". Secondly, it would be useful to work on the grammar somewhat. If I were the editor of a newspaper, I would be reluctant to hire someone who starts the advice with " For answer to your questions" and misplace commas.. etc..
And while I find the idea of this advice column very cute and endearing, I have an inkling that the guru I sought advice from might be.. well.. half my age. And I'm only 23. So if that is the case, I sincerely apologize for using the word " asshole" and in turn eliciting you to use the word " assholeish" in your response.
