Fiddy Cent
Listening to: In da Club
) Marshall, you're in some trouble and I can see you sweating. After
being hailed as the saviour of rap, you invite this "gangsta" into your
entourage. ( Because clearly, what gangstas do is rap about why they
are gangstas and how everyone else are wangstas... and then exacerbate
this theme over and over in the rest of ...well.. all their songs). Now
you're weary, you know your music is being scrutinized becuz thus far,
it was the only thing worth scrutinizing on the rap charts ( I mean,
let's not waste our time on what Ja Rule and Ashanti stand for *barf*)
You keep hating on other artists ( N sync, Moby, Xtina, MJ to name a
few) and when you realized the crowd was getting tired, you said " ok
no more making fun, I'm classy" Your songs were holding up for awhile
despite the fact that you're an asshole.. and then you decide to
persuade the public you made a good song by using a stupid concept of
a video that only rivals the actual song in stupidity. ( See song with
muppet cops and Eminem playing with a fucking slinky) He's hit rock
bottom but maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if he wasn't associated
with another lunatic. Namely 50 cent. Or "fiddy" if you're nasty. I know y'all teenagers are searching for your identity and erthing but could you please use your brain a liiiiiiiiittle bit when judging who is cool and worth emulating and who is not? I have this kid ( my mum's friend's little son) who lived with us for a year doing school who came to my house listening to alternative music ( I dunno if it was any good) and then suddenly morphed into this rich 12-year old thug who wore only G-unit clothing. I'm a bit baffled.. not that a bunch of pretentious punks on stage in carefully selected costumes and hairstyles and stolen if not too-frequently-exacerbated riffs and flat annoying voices are ideal role models but what exactly is appealing about an ugly rapper who enters the stage to a mini-re-enactment of his shooting ( * BANG BANG BANG BANG.. BANG BANG BANG BANG...er.. BANG!*) * crowd is overcome by a dizzying spell as their hero gallops on stage in more fur and a more flamboyant hat than anything you can find in Elton John's closet.*
Tiny rebelling but misguided teens I understand.. but people in Uni are still hero-worshipping crappy rap stars? What about the smart rap stars, like Common and Nas .. I mean.. what's a guy have to do to get a little recognition around here? get shot?
like.. HAVE WE ALL GONE F***ING MENTAL?!
Yeah I try not to be a hater but when things get this stupid, my bewilderment gets the better of me.
god I REALLY hope I wasn't like that as a kid. Maybe if I was, it would have been better back then, as I've suddenly morphed into a sour hater.. and I can bitch forever about haters. Ironic..
just some thoughts as I put my make up on to In da Club. Controversial.
tchock

Weird facts:
- Kids think that because they listen to that music they\'re going to get laid by some big azz girl.
- Kids need their \"freedom\" and this generaly means rebelling against the oppinion of the parents. How do they do this? by listening to gangsta music... something that parents tend to stay clear of.
- Kids think that taking bullets and surviving is cool.
- I dont know why, but these days it seems to be trendy to grow up in da hood.
Then again, we cant just blame fiddy cent, if you look at what britney spears did to so many teenage girls...
Music can be quite dangerous to the easily influenced mind. Who in here has never danced to saterday night fever????
