An unfaithful man - Part 1

I grew up in Asian territory. It was a multi cultural environment with customs from different areas including Portugal, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Japan and Korea. I believe in ghosts and gods and the gate of hell, the witches, the child ghost fortune-teller and supernatural beings.I am a Catholic I went to church and prayed to God but sometimes I had to go to the Buddhist temple with my friends of course I didn’t pray but out of respect I had to bow to all the Buddhist statues. My friends prayed for an oracle, as a teenager sometimes I begged them to do it for me too.

I’ll tell you a story about a curious and unfaithful man who was engaged.I remember about 30 years ago in summer I heard people talking about a trip to a very beautiful and undeveloped village. The people of the village were simple and pure. The girls were beautiful and people who had been there confirmed this.

Day by day no one talked about the village and six months later I heard people talking about a man who had gone to the village before he got married was died.

They said the day after his marriage his belly started to swell. He felt uncomfortable and unusual so he went to the hospital and had an operation. The surgeon and his assistants were so terrified because they had never seen anything like that in their whole lives. When the knife sliced him from the top to the bottom of his belly they saw billions of small white worms, which were moving.

Wow! So scary! They had to take few minutes to calm down and then started to remove all the white worms and their eggs and took some of them for a laboratory test. The reason for the illness was unknown. The man died a week later.

Some of his friends and family strongly believe that the real reason was because he broke his promise to the village girl. He had promised to the village girl that he would marry her and had sex with her. He went to the city and never went back to the village again. There have been other reputed cases where another man who went to the village had a frightening time.

What happened to him? I’ll tell you next time.
