Black's book shares wealth of stories from golfing days

Black's book shares wealth of stories from golfing days I vaguely knew that Black had been tournament director of the PGA Tour, was one of the greats on golf rules, had been director of golf at golf practice routine Dallas' Brookhaven Country Club, and had played the PGA Tour for a few years in the 1950s. And marriott golf resorts I knew that he was living, as he does today, in Bee Cave.I sat down with Carlton Wade, who then was publishing Austin Golf magazine, for a visit with Black during a lull in the matches. Knowing that Black had played the tour in the 1950s, my first question was who were his best friends on tour.Black answered: "Well, Dave Marr and I roomed together quite a bit. And I was real close friends with Tony Lema."I was golf practice An Interview of Martin Kaymer routine instantly in awe. The first two names Black mentioned were two of my all-time favorites. Talk about two classy guys with gorgeous golf swings. An hour later I was even more in awe. Black told story after story, each one better than the previous one.
