Women's Golf Tied For Fourth At SunTrust Gator Invite
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina women’s golf team stands tied for fourth place after two rounds at the SunTrust Women’s Gator Invite from the Mark Bostick Golf Course at the University of Florida. Coastal Carolina turned in rounds of 290 and 306 and finished the first day of competition with an overall score of 596 golf travel msnbc on the golf scoring par-70, 6,074 yard course. Tournament host Florida sits atop the leaderboard with an overall score of 572 (280-292). Senior Alicia Grier paced the Chanticleers and finished day one tied for ninth overall after carding a score of 144. Grier tied her career-low with a 69 in round one and followed that with a 75 in round two.Junior Kaitlin Higginbotham ended her afternoon tied for 15th with an overall score of 146. Higginbotham fired a golf scoring career-best 69 in round one before scoring a 77 in the second round. Freshman Courtney Boe turned in rounds of 75 and 76 en route to an overall score of 151 Does the Honda Classic Miss Tiger Woods and enters the final day of the event tied for 28th place. Sophomore Brittany Henderson is tied for 50th with a score of 155 (77-78), while fellow sophomore Jessica Alexander is tied for 73rd overall with a score of 161 (79-82).
