A True Friend

Accepts you as you are,
Believes in you,
Calls you just to say "Hi!"
Doesn't give up on you,
Envisions the whole of you!
Forgives your mistakes,
Gives unconditionally,
Helps you when you need a hand!
Ignores your little flaws,
Just wants to be with you,
Keeps you close to their heart,
Loves you for who you are!
Makes a difference in your life!
Never judges unfairly,
Offers support,
Picks you up when you're down!
Quiets your fears,
Raises your spirits,
Says nice things about you, and
Tells you the truth when you need to hear it!
Understands you,
Values the good things in you,
Walks beside you through sun or rain!
Xplains things you don't understand,
Yells when you won't listen, and
ZAPS you back to reality when you need it!

How To Stay Young

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

Remember, there is no way you can look as bad

as that person on your drivers license.

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height.

Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.

Never let the brain idle. " An idle mind is the devil's workshop."

And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on.

The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves.

Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family,

pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.

Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it.

If it is unstable, improve it.

If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips.

Take a trip to the mall, to the next county,

to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

11.  Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Humpty Dumpty was pushed!

Johnny Carson, the quick-witted "Tonight Show" host who became a national institution putting his viewers to bed for 30 years with a smooth nightcap of celebrity banter and heartland charm, died Sunday. He was 79.
