Unreliability
Due to the unreliability of this site, I may start transferring my entries to a blog at Blogger.com. I will give the address when everything is transferred. I am disappointed at having to do this, but the new owners of this site obviously have no thought of keeping bloggers informed about changes and it is unsatisfactory to suddenly find you cannot access your blog with no explanation given.
In fact they have been keeping their users informed - the German users at least. I found a link for Blogigo News. In running it through the Babelfish translator, it seems that they have made a lot of the changes I was crossing my fingers for - categorized posts, comments from unregistered users, no ads, better HTML editor (except for the loss of the preview button?) and other things... they just don't seem to have an English language site any more. Maybe it will appear later but I can't find any information to that effect.
Ironic - all the things I wanted but everything is now in German!
