It's funny that your server went downlast night because mine did too - not blogger the one my other blog is hosted on (I wasn't happy, I pay for that service) I wonder if there was something afoot. I have heard of hackers sending multiple servers down in the past.
Totally agree with you about the news story you commented on. How flipping stupid! Honestly, laws and regulations seem to have become the be all and end all. What ever happened to good old fashioned common sense, grr! Oh dear, I sound like my Gran LOL
