the wonderful absurd breakfast idea...

Mood: gleefully ecstatic
Listening to: daphne x's stupid comments

Daphne X and I sat down to watch the entire first season of "arrested development" (as we had watched the entire second season the previous week and loved it so much, but didn't need to watch the first season to make sense of it, as the explicitly descriptive narration by ron howard adequately fills in past events constantly).

"the more things flow forward, the more they loop back", says Daphne X prophetically.

after 2 episodes (one being the pilot) we found ourselves requiring a small snack.  Daphne X put on her snack toque and proceeded to the kitchen.

"the more we go into kitchens, the more we come out of them", screams Daphne X as she flings open the fridge door.

i assess all the ingredients i want to combine...  sourdough round slices of bread, large white onions, farm fresh eggs, recently thawed (much previously frozen) chicken, and medium cheddar cheese.

"the older they get, the younger they taste!", yelped Daphne X covered in greazy cheeze.

now how would these items best fit together into one delicious morsel?

SHAZAM!!!!

i was struck with a plan, so devious, so cunning, you could wrap it in a box and mail it to puerto  rico, free of charge...

we would cover each item (except the eggs and cheese) with an egg mixture and then cook each item, and then stack them, and then cover them in cheese, and then....

BAKE THEM!!!!!

"i can't wait to get this hot meat inside me!", titters Daphne X.

early on, it was realized that onions and especially raw chicken should be partially cooked so as not to be sick or dead after eating partially raw chicken...

the end

"something about the irony about chicken being covered in egg", added Daphne X as an afterthought.
