Somebody's gone and changed all the rules and forgot to tell everyone else. What's going on down here? Do you know, do I know, does anyone know? Does it matter anyway? Is the point the fact that it's pointless, or am I missing the point? What's your view, let me know.

Come on in, the water's great!

Life is too short

Life is too short

get over yourself and be the bigger person

always

there is no but

but... except, you are an ass.

be cool

be the best

always be bigger

or less

life is kind

it make you be

but let it be

do more

life loves you

always

Give a man a fish... and the aliens won't come

That story goes on about feeding him for a day or teaching him how to fish to allow him to feed himself as long as there are fish to catch.

Well it goes a bit deeper than that though. When a man is given a fish, in the South African context, what occurs is that the man then assumes that it is yours or the government's duty to continually supply fish to the man whenever he requires fish.

It's a fact of life in South Africa that this is the case, and as long as we give things to people for nothing, the cycle will continue and the poor will never beat the cycle. This can only occur when they do it for themselves.

The same can be said for the self actualisation of the whole of humanity as a species on the universal scale. Any advanced culture that has identified our planet as a home for semi intelligent life would have implemented a strict code of non interference in relation to developing planets and species.

In this regard, it can be assumed that only when we...

Blame Game in South Africa

There is a huge difference between playing the blame game and pointing out the truth.

The blame game is blaming apartheid for current problems and the
truth is saying our politicians are corrupt, therefore the man on the
street is worse off than they have ever been.

Being a realist does not mean being positive and bursting fruit
flavours because it’s PC to do so. Sorry, the mark of a man is standing
up and being counted for something that they believe in, not sitting
meekly by because its easier.

If you think that this country is in good shape then I urge you to
do some reading on what an democracy is supposed to be and also to have
a hard think about the kind of country that you would like to leave to
your children.

I doubt you would find much to be happy about if you did and, if you
are anything like me, you’d be embarrassed to say to your kids ‘this is
the best I could do for you, sorry’.

Remembering Me

Somewhere it has happened, somehow in this vast crazy world of thoughts and drums and beats and tears and hearts pounding and heads screaming and manic monkey Mondays throwing their lungs and ears and eyes at the sky.

Madness, sadness joy and wonder, there in the midst of the mayhem, when I breathe and see and sparkle and shine the light of life that I was born with, I feel at home.

Home safe, in the body and skin and blood and tears and sweat and pain and ease and joy and comfort of the comforty blanket that a reconnection has reminded me of.

Home to me, the me I am, have always been and always will be now, no matter what, i am reminded of the real the apparent the obvious the good the bad and ugly and beautiful and sad starry sky eyes lighting up the never and always land that is me.

Madness for sadness for forget-me-not forgetables discarded by the roadside after a picnic spot has run out of time. The joy-filled centre of merriment bleak and lonely again by the roadside,...

Nirvana translated...

Nirvana: the extinction of illusion

Nirvana is 'heaven' in Buddist philosophy. Therefore Heaven is the extinction of illusion.

We can therefore interpret this to mean we are indeed living in the Matrix, and reality lies beyond the illusion of this world.

This is not reality, this is merely the dreamstate between reality, the place where the soul sleeps. We therefore do manifest our own reality in this world, no other such thing can be true.

And indeed as a construct of the Matrix, we are, by default, all connected.

This allows the understanding of Dark Matter and Dark energy in simple terms, they exist, like circuit boards on a computer, outside our realm of knowing - the OS is not aware of the hardware but can infer it's existence through the very fact that the OS is constructed.

What a beautiful world, what a great dream.

Thank you

Where is everyone?

Yes, I live in darkest Africa, near the bottom in a small city called Durban.

There are 3.5 million people in this town, but, as with most of Africa, most are dirt poor, so in city size, minus the squatter camps, there are about 500 000 - 700 000 houses, maybe, maybe less.

Anyway, it's small, most of the educated people have left for Johannesburg, Cape Town or London, New York, LA. It's a bit of a ghost town really now.

That aside, it's a groovy little place, the weather is just the best anywhere on the planet and it's kinda laid back if that is your scene. So the point?

Well, it's like this: I own a web and graphic design company, I lecture at an awesome institution teaching design too, it's fun and I'm really busy all the time... but I never see anyone... it's weird.

Life is beautiful

is there anything else to say?

I do feel some pain tonight, for those in Zimbabwe. I just don't get it. I guess many people don't get it. What is going on, how can this be?

Dollars. Oil. Smoke and mirrors it's all the same disco to me. I do love my world, and I am blessed to be the person I am.

I feel some pain tonight, but none too deep. I can't fix, nor can i placate my mind, body nor surroundings by this feebility to be.

I feel some pain across my borders, and yes, life is always beautiful, but my life is immaculate in comparison.

Zimbabwe we cry tonight for you. Peace be upon you.

Every now and then I have the honour to meet people who are takes. They remind me of how uncomfortable it makes me feel and how it really makes my blood boil.

The Obama and Hillary Show

So, it appears there is a resolution on who will run as Democratic candidate in the 2008 US elections. Obama wins the race, Hillary a close second.

But did Obama win the race, would Hillary have won the race? Or did a 'Black Man' beat a 'White Woman'? You see for me it doesn't matter which one won, this whole election has been about the first woman versus first black. It appears to have polarised a nation, or at least the pretend liberals.

Whichever camp is chosen, policy will never really change so that isn't really the point here. It never is. It's usually about the personality, the charisma of the actor on stage. This time round, well it's another case of two liars begging and selling their soul for the Presidency, no one in politics can ever been honest.

The problem I have is that this election has highlighted not how far we have come as people, but how far we have to go. When it's about Black versus...

Those who control time control the world

Time.

Currently we are all aware of the notion that control of information is control of the world.

What about control of time? If you can move in time all truth is yours. You can manipulate it, you can change it, you can make the world yours. Do you think if this kind of travel were possible those that had it would tell you?

So you want the Egyptians to have invented the wheel. Go back in time and plant a wheel there. Inventors to come from somewhere, then you just go and tell them how to do something.

Of course, by definition, if it were possible to control time, it would already be controlled, which would mean we are all living in a construct already.

How can you be certain it isn't? How do you know this is not possible? How can you be sure. You can't can you?

Oh yes, that's Us!

I remember when, I remember, I remember when I lost my mind
There was something so pleasant about that phase.
Even your emotions had an echo
In so much space

And when you're out there
Without care,
Yeah, I was out of touch
But it wasn't because I didn't know enough
I just knew too much

Does that make me crazy
Does that make me crazy
Does that make me crazy
Probably

And I hope that you are having the time of your life
But think twice, that's my only advice
[ Crazy lyrics found on http://www.completealbumlyrics.com ]
Come on now, who do you, who do you, who do you, who do you think you are,
Ha ha ha bless your soul
You really think you're in control

Well, I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
Just like me

My heroes had the heart to lose their lives out on a limb
And all I remember is thinking, I want to be like them
Ever since I was little, ever since I was little it looked like fun ...

I have learnt that I know nothing

'I don't know' is a phrase that opens up endless possibilities

A rotten apple will spoil the batch - be careful who you choose to run with

Jealousy will eat you alive

Be kind

Be gentle

Laugh at yourself

Do not hold grudges, grudges will kill your spirit and bruise your soul

Laugh

Dance

Sing

Fall in love with nature

Develop a relationship with at least one other person from another species... I have my kitty Mistres Chi the Wonder Cat

Re-mind yourself of how you used to laugh as a child...

Re-discover your inner child

Really, really do things that lift your spirits and your soul

Loving the work you do does not mean it always feels like a day at the funfair, the days you really treasure are usually the ones where at the time they seemed the darkest

Share as much as you can

Purpose 2.0

In what appears to be the twilight of the human race, we all seem to be very wrapped up in finding our 'purpose'. It's all very new age and neo-religious, based on ancient texts and thoughts that are far wiser than anything we could think up today. Boolean string theory is mundane in comparison and 14 dimensional math seems a walk in the park. All good really, and quite obviously the tomes include acute observation of the nature of humanity and the absolute meaningless of it all.

As we seem to step away from the Godhead and declare ourselves to be god, big or little G included, something still sticks, a product of the id, the ego the super ego - the idea of purpose. We have taken the idea of purpose being to come to earth to suffer to learn to mean to come to earth to fulfil some kind of quest meant for us and only us... a personal holy pilgrimage which makes us all unique, special and worthwhile.

We are all going to change the world you know - I am...

Simple Thoughts

It doesn't cost a thing to be nice. Being nice is worth more than anything else on earth.

You learn the most from your enemies or the people that hurt you. Love the ones you hate for giving you the gift of you.

You true power comes from more of the things you don't do than the things you do do.

Doing nothing is a strong way of doing everything sometimes.

Master your actions by mastering your word. Master your word by mastering your thought. Master your thought by not thinking.

Be. Do. Have.

Love yourself.

Light is the answer to everything

Light is everything. It is responsible for all matter, all energy, space and time. It is the regulator. It is the very thing we are seeking and so will never find. We are made of light, and light is God, and therefore we are God.

Now consider that light, which is the essence of everything, and is the fastest thing in the universe is also electrical energy and when you consider a computer memory bank there is no up or down or left or right. JUST LIKE OUR UNIVERSE. Nothing is linear, nothing is connected and yet all is connected. Could you be living in a matrix and not know it? It would explain everthing we do not understand. A connection to another computer explains a black hole much more simply than massive gravity and time shifts.

We could all be living in the Sims and we would never know... Light, gravity, electricity, the beginning of time, time itself... it's all an illusion. Light, gravity and and electricity are all the same thing... but one thing cannot be more than one thing...

The spell of 'hierarchy

We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings
to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to
see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for
self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global
crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply
to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will
move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful
ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too
big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.
—Frances Moore Lappé, Time for Progressives to Grow Up

Yeah it's a hard-knock life, and the above does illustrate the state of our consciousness. At least most of the population. Why don't most people help each other more - why don't people do more? Fear. That it's going to somehow hurt us. And the scary thing is that we know...

South Africa, child pretending to be an adult

I've been standing at the front of the line with my banner raised high for some years now, defending the country where I chose to live, South Africa. I have done this with a certain sense of the enevitable I guess, but also with a large degree of hope and confidence that this time, yes this time, Africa will come to rights.

Alas I feel like the emperor's new clothes right now, looking at the circus that is pretending to be the electoral process for the leader of the ANC. One side stands a man with a grade 5 education, a machine-gun toting man who has unprotected sex with young women who he knows has Aids, takes a shower and thinks it's fine. He also has 4 wives plus one deceased, a young girlfriend and a corruption chargesheet as long as your arm hanging over his head. On top of this he has visions of communism being Africa's answer (of course some will be more equal than others).

On the other side a man who refutes that Aids is a threat, a man...

If is such a big word

If only... well that has filled books.

If I had... has filled many wasted lifetimes

If you were... has broken many hearts

If I had the talent... has shattered many dreams

If there was a war... and nobody came... what a beautiful day it would be

If more people saw the joy I see every moment, what a fortunate world we would live in

If I can change but one life... then mine has been a life worth living

If you feel the same way as me, go out there and make a difference

If everyone did that... Imagine the possibilities...

If I have children, that's the world I want them to inherit from me

If you have a voice... LET IT BE HEARD.
