South Africa

The biggest problem with SA rugby is the same problem we have with all our sport. Political intereference is ruining it. We need the infrastructure and support, which the Sharks have with their Academy - where is the national body helping this? Where are our national systems like they have in Aiustralia. The New Zealand Academy doesn't really count because Murray Mexted will take anyone with NZ$25000.

What's happened to our cricket team, our netball team and our Hockey teams who were once up there with the top? Mediocrity to suit the national fever for blackrification at the cost of winning will cost us all in the long run if it's not dealt with today.

We're sitting very close to the tipping point, closer than most realise, and when it happens, with a heavy heart I'll leave the country of my birth and head to New Zealand for a life less complicated. It saddens me to see a land with so much promise and so much potential and talent being ruined by a few in power who have taken advantage of the downtrodden, rather than help them get up. It is Animal Farm in reality, and done much better than Zimbabwe ever could. It is a black scar on humanity's heart and it saddens me deeply.
