The world's a stage. --Shakespeare.-- What's better than to sit somewhere in a sidewalk cafe and watch the people going about their daily routine.
I learned to watch people at university. The drama lecturer would take us to the cafeteria to watch the people. You have to be able to observe to be able to act. Now that I don't act anymore but rather teach people "how to" I again realise the value fo the excercise. I deliberately put "how to" in inverted commas because you cannot really teach people how to act. You can provide the tools and the techniques but the "how to" they have to find themselves.
What has this got to do with travel you may ask? Travel is essentially about how other people live, what they eat, what they wear, what they believe, what their houses look like, what they do for fun, how they fight, how they love and how they go about their daily routine.
