Tourist in Copenhagen? You need a car!

Although Copenhagen is quite a small town most of the really good attractions are located outside Copenhagen. Just outside Copenhagen two other just as historic cities are located, Helsingør and Roskilde. Roskilde is mostly known for its world famous music festival, but is also hosts the UNESCO attraction Roskilde Domkirke. It is a medieval church highly famous for its architecture. Easy car rental in Copenhagen

To rent a car in Copenhagen is easy. Actually you can have the car waiting for you in the airport if you use the Copenhagen Airport Car Rent. This is preferable if you arrive by airplane, but you may choose to take the metro to the centre of Copenhagen and pick up the car later somewhere else.

Cheap prices
Even though Copenhagen is a relatively expensive city for travellers, car rental Copenhagen is not that expensive. Small cars usually start around 200 to 300 Danish kroners a day with unlimited mileage. Bigger cars are off course more expensive.

View Copenhagen by foot
If you only plan to stay in Copenhagen, the best way to get around is actually by bike or even better by foot. Every tourist attraction, even Christiania, is found within a few kilometres from the centre of Copenhagen.

Visit Roskilde and Helsingør and beaches by car
If you are going in a group of 2 or more persons it is just as cheap to rent a car, than taking the public transportation. Within the last 10 years the prices have been raised by almost 50 %. In Roskilde the Viking tourist attractions are not located close to the railway station.

Also the best beaches located in northern Zealand close to Helsingør are not easy to reach by public transportation. Therefore rent car Copenhagen if you want to get around.
