22/08/2005 | Madrid (Spain) Mexican actor Kuno Becker attended the training session of Real Madrid as part of the filming of GOAL 2! the second film in the GOAL! triology, which narrates the story of a soccer player whose dream is to be a professional.
Kuno Becker, who gives life to Santiago, attended with a co-star from the film, american actor Alessandro Nívola, in the fiction Gaven Harris, to the city of Soccer in Las Rozas, Madrid, field of training.
Once there, they were put to the orders of Vanderlei Luxemburgo, madridista technician, to participate alongside the players of Real Madrid at the matinal training of the team, while they were being filmed at the same time.
A team of 40 people were in charge of the filming, where all the details were carefully taken care of, especially with it being a real training session without possibility of reshooting or repeating takes.
During the session, Kuno Becker and Alessandro Nívola interchanged passes among others, with David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane and Raúl González, who have already participated in the first GOAL! movie, besides taking part of the physical exercises designed by Luxemburgo.
In the second GOAL! film, Santiago Núñez achieves his dream to play for the Real Madrid, in which he participates with the league of champions of Europe after his start as a soccer player in the United States and England.
The second film GOAL! 2 will be directed by spanish director Jaime Mollet-Serra and its release is set for May 2006.
Kuno Becker became a movie star after his passage in the soap opera "Primer Amor a Mil Por Hora" and filmed the successful film La Hija del Caníbal e Imaginando Argentina before assuming his role as Santiago Núñez in the GOAL! triology.
The Real Madrid colaborates in a very close form to the second film, and they have permitted Nívola to attend, as another player, besides the tour that the club made to Asia, meanwhile for Kuno this was his first contact with the madridista club.
The first film in the GOAL! trilogy will be released in the UK next September and will indeed narrate the start of Santiago Núñez in the local clubs in Los Angeles, United States and his jump to Europe, obtaining an opportunity at the english Newcastle United.
Finally, the trilogy will be completed with GOAL 3, that will count with the participation of Santiago Núñez at 2006 World Cup and will be available in theatres worldwide by summer 2007.
The GOAL! project is represented by FIFA (the International Federation of Soccer Association) after an agreement of cooperation signed in September of 2003 and a budget that reaches a total of 100 million dollars.
