kuno becker: a firm step in hollywood

Kuno Becker, mexican hottie, advances with gigantic steps in international cinema. He obtained his third leading role in Two Lovers and a Wedding, an independent film written by Ruben Gonzalez, and by the direction of Matia Karrell. Kuno has followed that layout path since Lucia, Lucia and will soon be seen in Imagining Argentina.

Kuno comented "I am very proud to work with the director and actors Charlotte Ayanna and Esai Morales".

In 2004 we'll be able to see Kuno in his Hollywood [english] debut, alongside Antonio Banderas and Emma Thompson in Imagining Argentina. The futures looks very bright for the mexican hottie who in an recent interview talked about his new phase in cinema.

Your career has not been nothing but televised. What is the challange now, working in films?

"Its a diferent media, I had never done it and had only been on tv, which I love. More than a challange I see it as pleasure, because it gives me the opportunity to make characters very different from others.

The scripts don't have to have one line, the point is to be able to have an interesting variety for me as an actor, and that way works in different situations with different characters. The character I portrayed in Lucia, Lucia for example is drastically different to what I did in Imagining Argentina. Thats what I want".

What do you thing of Antonio Serrano?
"I think he is a fun person, singular. He is very cool, and made an excellent job with his script, which is right at the level of the novel "La Hija del Canibal" written by Rosa Montero".

Did you have to change your form [method] of working now in films?
"A little bit, I had to do some things different. The process is much slower, more detailed, the scenes take more time, they are more taken care of in a certain way. But as an actor, the job is still the same. The challanges, now.. those were more intensive".

Do you consider yourself to have the ability to make people laugh?

"Something curious happened to me in a soap opera I starred in that was called Dreamers [SoƱadoras]. I portrayed the role of the tipical rich guy, but with an attitude and every one told me they laughed like hell when I acted, and I was doing it seriously, without the intention of making them laugh, but that's the point.

Thats how it is with comedy, one has to be serious, but the situation is the one that has to be funny. I have never tried to force myself to be funny, nor do I expect to do that. I believe that scenes have to be worked with seriously, whatever that scene is".

Has your perspective as an actor changed?

"Yes I learned a lot. I thought I was gonna learn from things and I ended up learning from others.
