20 films compete to represent mexico at the oscars
On September 24th the Mexican Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences will decide which film will be lucky one.
Around 20 Mexican films, among them Japan, Lucia, Lucia,Hurts to love you, and Alex Lora, slave of rock and roll, could represent this country in 18th edition of the Goya awards, in Spain, and in the 76th edition of the Oscars , in the United States.
The films were registered before the Mexican Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences, and by means of its Committee of Election and through secret and direct vote, that will decide which will be the lucky production.
The Academy said that the films that dispute the distinction are Alex Lora, slave of rocanrol, byLuis Kelly; Hurts to love you y Dark Cities, of Fernando Sariñana; Aro Tolbukhin (In the mind of the assassin), of Agustín Villaronga, Lydia Zimmermann and Isaac. P. Racine and Serious Assassin, of Antonio Urrutia.
Heart of melon, Luis Vélez; The mystery of the Trinidad, Jose Luis Garci'a Agraz; Writiten in the body of the night, of Jaime Humberto Hermosillo; Gabriel Orozco, of Juan Carlos Martín; Japan, of Carlos Reygadasm as well as Lucia, Lucia, Antonio Serrano.
