Mundanity

Like a figment of my imagination I saw a couple of black swans with a new family of fluffy grey cygnets.  For weeks I'd only seen one black swan and wondered what happened to the other three.  So may be the male/female was hiding and the young swans were taken elsewhere? (I hope they weren't "culled".)  Seems strange to see cygnets and ducklings at this time of year (autumn).  Saw a cow with a large swathe of white around its middle (looked like a bandage) with a little calf feeding off her - also with a large white patch around its middle.  Looked so cute.  Why this time of year?

I was on the bus and gazing out the window and saw two rays of sun streaming down in opposite directions from a dark cloud.  It looked so beautiful.  If you were outside, alone on a deserted field, you'd look at it and admire it.  Everyone else on the bus just talked, looked at the floor or ahead to the road.  I bet I was the only one who saw that little moment of nature's beauty and appreciated it.

Then driving home last night the dark clouds were passing in front of the full moon and some of the cloud formations were just awesome - big banks of smoothness, curved swords of silver and a dappled moon.  Yeah, little moments which make me smile and be glad I'm alive.

I feel kind of sad that I never see the swans now.  I pass by the pond on the other side sometimes but never see any swans and once a few weeks ago saw one only.  Maybe they transferred the rest of the family elsewhere. 

Sick of buses.  I can't seem to find the right route that will pick me up and drop me off at the same place at times I want them.  Pain in the ass.  It's not even winter and I'm sick of waiting in the cold. 

Yeah, I found the smileys.  I'd completely forgotten about them up until now.  I promise I won't use them too much.  Everything in moderation.
