Christ's Coming

                      The Rapture

QUESTION 38: Can you show me where the Rapture is taught in the Bible?

ANSWER: Yes I can, however, something need not be mentioned by name in order for it to be biblical.
For example: "Trinity" is not mentioned in the Bible, but it is taught from Genesis to Revelation.  The word "substitution" is not mentioned, but that Christ died for our sins as a Substitute is taught throughout the entire Bible.  I could name others.  There are seven raptures in the Bible.  Five have taken place, and the other two are in the future.

1. Enoch Gen. 5:24 [Heb. 11:5].
2. Elijah [2 Kings 2:11].
3. Christ [Acts 1:11 & 12].
4. Paul [2 Cor. 12:2 & 4]
5. John [Rev. 4:1].

The above are in the past, the following are in the future.

6. Those in Christ, of the Church [1 Thes. 4:16 & 17].
7.  The Two Witnesses during the Tribulation [Rev. 11:11 & 12].

That should be proof enough.  The Rapture will take place.  The Lord has promised to come for His own [John 14:2 & 3].  The days are evil, surely His coming is nigh.     Are you ready for His coming?
Have you repented of your sins and trusted the Saviour yet?
Will you go or be left behind to perish?
This depends not on what you do FOR Him; it's WITH the Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrificial work for sin on the cross which we MUST do.
