Christmas Eve...

by: Sassy1

Just thought I'd write and tell you all about the wonderful Christmas Eve, and the Eve of Christmas Eve and the Friday before the Eve of Chrismas Eve that I had this lovely year.

Friday evening my lovely GM came in to town and we headed down to the pub, and lovely Becks did make it out with us. We had an odd sort of time, with one of GMs mate's little sister telling Becks that she thought I was on with Becks and that GM should put a stop to the way we were talking. GM told her not to be stupid, that we were just mates. GM told me this later on, all I saw at the time was foul looks from her, followed by her dragging GM off to a dark and secluded corner of the garden. However, (probably for the first time ever!) I pushed aside the instant green eyed monster that arose, and thought to myself, they're just mates. He loves me and I trust him.

Late in the evening I had a wonderful and awesome surprise when Mrs Macca and CK suddenly appeared in the bar of the Sassville pub! I LOVE surprise and wonderful visitations from gorgeous friends. We all headed back to play some pool, and Mrs. Macca and I danced some Cha-Cha and some Rhumba and I can't remember what else. I may have bruised her feet though. Sorry 'bout that Mrs. Macca!!

We went to the bakery where we sweet talked our way into some choice morsels. Becks had his eye on a bacon and cheese twist, but it wasn't going to be ready for a long time. Mrs. Macca and CK headed off as they had an early start, and Becks, GM and I headed for home.

Becks wasn't ready for bed, but GM and I were so he sat up and was apparently out on the front steps having "a nap" when he was awoken by my lovely baker friend nudging him with his boot. Becks awoke, and was handed a warm bacon and cheese twist for our collective breakfasts. How much do I love this place, and my friends in this place? Awesome.

GM got up really early for milking, Becks and I had a sleep in. We got up about 11am, and had our breakfast, ample amounts of coffee, and it was lovely. Then Becks headed for home and I got ready to head out to GMs farm for the Eve of Christmas Eve (After a Nanna Nap - I was buggered. Doing nothing is exhausting!)

The Eve of Christmas Eve had a fairly inauspicious beginning GM wise. I headed out to my lovely GM's house about 8pm on Saturday night, because he had asked if I'd like to go out and spend the night with him at his place. But when I got there he wasn't home. So I headed up to his mum and dads place, to see if he was there (he tends to head up there after milking to feed the poddies and to have dinner sometimes). He wasn't there, so they called him up on the two-way.

He was out "shooting bunnies" with his little sister, which is rather cute, but made me think that he'd completely forgotten that he'd asked me. When he arrived, 10 minutes later, he was carrying a bunny, which he'd potted, and he and his little sister proceeded to make the fun with the corpse.

I wasn't feeling like the most special little person at this point, as you can imagine - I don't think anyone likes showing up and being greeted by... well... no one.

However, once he arrived, (took off his boots at the door, deposited the bunny in the fridge, and washed his hands) he came over and sat beside me on the couch and gave me a great big hug and kiss. "I thought you'd be out later darlin', sorry I wasn't here to meet you." I said, "Well, it is later babe, its 8.30pm" "Bloody daylight savings. I'm sorry hon." We smooched up on the couch and talked and laughed with his family for a while, before heading back down to his place and... enjoying each others company into the wee small hours.

The next day, Christmas Eve, we woke up early - unnaturally early. 5.45am early. What I love about getting up that early on the farm is that I don't feel tired (until much much later). We bounced out of bed and got into our farmer clothes and headed down to the dairy. I helped with the milking, and then we went up to his mum and dads for breakfast.

"What have you two got on for the day?" asked his mum.

"I thought that we might take a drive up to *insert name of romatic sort of spot here* and check out the look out and then have lunch, what do you reckon darlin'?"

Naturally, this sounded pretty sweet to me really, so we headed back down to his place and I had a shower (after cleaning his bathroom which was putrid after being used and abused by any number of Club GMers over the preceding weeks), and got changed. He decided against the whole having a shower and getting changed thing... which while I thought it was odd, was pretty well OK with me as I think we are all aware of my penchant for men in dirty work clothes, in particular this one gorgeous poo-spattered man.

We headed off in his truck, and took a beautiful back road. We weaved our way through the most magificent bushland (much of which he had previously set fire to... as part of back burning efforts in the last fires), lush farmland and meandering streams (which were running due to a fair spattering of rain that they'd recieved in the area a few days prior). It was a gorgeous day, and not nearly as hot as it had been in the preceding days. We talked the whole way, and it was awesome.

It took maybe an hour to reach our destination, where we took a walk around the lookout and surrounds. We headed down to the local hotel, which is the only restaurant in the town and had a beautiful lunch sitting on the decking overlooking the mountains. Delicious, and we had the whole place to ourselves, as tourists aren't really visiting the area at the moment. I don't know why, its looking just beautiful, then again, it wouldn't have been nearly as lovely if it were full of tourists.

I was surprised that he had thought to take me there - after all, thats a pretty sweet and romantic gesture by anyones standards really. He's totally kept up his word and bought in the back paddocks!!

After lunch we headed for home, via the same gorgeous road. About half way home, he say's, I'm just going to pull in here, theres a bridge I want to see, I think they replaced it.

So we pulled into what I think is the most beautiful spot I've ever seen. There was a creek running through the middle of a small green clearing, with willows lining the water, and native flowers blooming all round. The creek was bubbling away gently over the rocks, and there were birds chirping away up in the gums on the other side of the clearing.

We had a wander about, he kissed me against a willow tree, and said to me, I reckon this should be our special place darlin', just for us.

AWW!!! Is that not the sweetest and most wonderful thing ever? God I love him.

Some time later, we drove out, and in passing noticed that they had indeed put in a new bridge. I asked him how he knew about the spot - he'd set fire to it during the fires. I love when I get an answer like that. Other blokes you'd wonder if they'd taken girls there before, but not my GM.

When we got home, he went down to bring in the cows, and I headed up to the house to get changed. We milked together again, which was just wonderful - I love working with him and doing farmy things.

Then we headed into town, seperately. I got there first, and was sitting on my front fence still covered in poo and talking to a neighbour, when he arrived all showered and sweet smelling. The neighbour eventually left, and GM came into the house with me to exchange gifts. He bought me a gorgeous handbag and as I was exclaiming how lovely it was, he said "look inside". So I opened it up, and he'd put the cutest photoframe in there. Its a magnetic stand with two little cartoon piggie shaped magnets on it to hold the photo on. Its really cute and kitch and fun. I think I almost like it better than the handbag, because its something that he picked on his own - his mum definitely helped with the handbag, I'd admired it in the window of the shop with her a month or so earlier.

He was going to a party next door to my place, and I hadn't really decided what I was going to do. I had a vague notion that I would go to town and do the Midnight Mass thing, which is kindof a tradition with some of my mates from school. GM didn't invite me to head along with him ("I'm going to *Blahs* house for a party, what are you up to?" not figuring in my mind as an invitation. I'm sure if I'd wanted to go I could have said so, but I didn't want to spoil what had been a wonderful day by watching GM get drunk and fall down, which is sadly what I had expected that he would do.).

So I got in touch with a bunch of mates from school and ended up going into town early for tea and biscuits (read coffee and lovely fruit salad and berries) with Tink and two of the lads. It was really awesome to catch up with Tink again and the boys too. Only one of them (Almost) decided to come with me to Midnight Mass, so at 11.45pm I headed round to the church.

Mass has ended, go in peace, kisses all round then home for me. As I headed into my little Sassville, I saw one of GM's brothers mates who lives two doors down from me, and I offered to drop him at home. We got halfway up the hill that leads to my place, and we saw a group of people on the road. So we stopped, to see who they were. GM was there, he'd been heading up the hill towards my place. I said Hi to the rest of them, including GMs beautiful cousin who was down from Melbourne, the Tease (who leapt into the car and said "Lets go baby, you and me, right now! Floor it!"), and GM's little brother. After establishing that everyone was off home, I said my goodnights too. GM got into the car, and I said to him, you don't have to come home with me darlin, you can go with the others if you want. He said, no, I want to come with you. I was heading for your place anyway, I'm ready to go home.

So we said goodnight again, and we drove home. We got inside, and he say's "How was your night darlin'?"

"Wonderful! I caught up with *insert names here* and we had a cuppa together. Then I went to Mass with my lovely friend Almost and his parents. It was really lovely. I feel awesome."

"Oh, thats great hon."

"What did you get up to?"

"I went over to *Blahs* house, and all he wanted to do was drink. He didn't even want to go down to the pub. So we stayed there, and he just drank until he passed out, it sucked. It was so boring. All they wanted to do was drink. So a group of us went to the pub in the end, but they shut after about half an hour, then we had no-where to go. So we went back to *blahs* house, but they were all drunk. So I cracked it and I was heading home when you drove up."

OH MY GOD.

Did you just hear what I heard coming out of the mouth of my man?

"He just drank until he passed out, it sucked." Sound familiar much??? LOL

I don't think the night could have ended on a better note really.

But it did, as we snuggled up together in bed and wished each other a very very very Merry Christmas. (Don't be looking for more smut than that CK - its the festive season, and that would be wrong!)

Christmas Day dawned far too early, with GM heading off at 6am to go milking. I must say that the day itself was bittersweet for me - while it was lovely to spend it with the family, I missed Nicky like you would not believe.

Tomorrow we are heading in to town for a second attempt at Christmas WITH Nicky, and GM who will be joining us after morning milking for lunch. I'm looking forward to it, I can't wait to see Nicky.

So Merry Christmas one and all.
